One of REM's most underrated songs, and hands-down the best lesson for it on UA-cam. Thank you!
So simple, so good. Never did figure it out on my own exactly right. thanks for the lesson
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Always wanted to learn this beauty. You made my week.

Thanks so much for this lesson. It's such a beautiful song and one of my favourites by REM, song- and guitar-wise. Subscribed.

thanks dude.love this song..thanks from the UK
thanks jones...it's one of my favorites of theirs.
Thanks mate, very much appreciated.
Thanks for checking it out!
It sounds to me, from the album version, that they've laid some 12-string over the bridge part on this song, which R.E.M. is wont to do on some songs, at least. I didn' realize
until many years later that Peter doesn't normally play a 12-string live at all, it was mainly a 6 string Ricky on most tunes. Of course you add enough chorus and compression
to even a 6 string Rickenbacker 360 and it can sound almost like a 12-string. There's also 12-string acoustic laid over "Fall On Me" particularly in that intro. Normally though
R.E.M. uses the 12-string sparingly.
You have a great ear. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Great video and lesson. By any chance can you do Monty got a raw deal?
I played this on an acoustic, sound's beautiful.
Yes, acoustic or electric...a really nice tune!
Hey, do you mind sharing your Twin's settings for Bass Mid and Treb? Sounds good. Thanks.
I need to but myself a Rickenbacker. (And a mandoline).
Maybe on the first bit of palm muting you should be playing the D shape while doing it?
Maybe?
This song actually has dropped D tuning. Not that any one cares.
