That’s a really good observation, always trying to make that direct connection and usually succeeding, Stipe does seem to have access to his inner self more than most.
R.E.M. are easily one of the greatest bands of all time. I love this song (from the “Up” album). Another beautiful song from “Up” is “Why Not Smile”. Great reaction dude. ✌️
Shawn, thanks so much for your reaction! I also wish we could all meet and share our life experiences. No matter our ages, generations, we all have the same types of growing pains, successes and failures. We learn from these experiences how to live life showing kindness and empathy with others.
And yes, Michael Stipe has always connected with the audience. At one of the concerts I was at in 1985, he talked to us between songs. He made us feel like we were all friends who hadn't seen each other for awhile and he asked us questions and we yelled answers back to him. He's always been my favorite singer.

Also "In the Air." His vocal performance is outstanding
My favorite song from R.E.M is loosing My Religion but that were a very energetic band to say the least.
Mine is Man On the Moon ;)
Great request. Thanks Andrea and Shawn

Great reaction, you should react to Country Feedback live on Jools Holland, it’s a favorite of mine!
I second that suggestion!
I Third that!
I also love Country Feedback with Neil Young joining R.E.M.
Really enjoying your REM reactions. Thank you for the thought you put into them
