I wasn't aware that Liz never got an ending fairy for after like, considering how much hate the poor girl has been receiving since gaining weight, this could make her feel even more self conscious by not having an ending fairy moment. I agree with all 3 things mentioned in this video, photo-cards are a cheap ploy by companies to make more money off the backs of naive fans and the ending fairy is never a good thing for the less popular members.
I've never understood why people buy so many products of idols that will end up in the trash.
And I really agree with ending fairy because it's really boring and I usually skip it

That is the reason what makes Kpop albums special cuz its not just a CD its a collectable. And middle school and Highschool students trade it among themselves. And I know we can print from their instagram pics but there is something getting your photocard Bias when you buy the album.
But maybe be like newjeans: no naming cards only photo cards set and album version. Like you can buy your favorite member with album version with that member custom cd, poster, sticker, photo book, and a set of 5 photo cards. Or buy the group one is a set of one photo card per each member. Cause sometimes people are a bit too over obsessed with collecting photo cards if it’s random and that’s not the purpose of buying an album
@@Alternus. maybe make it something like random 2 out of 14 cards not like random 2 out of 70 photo cards because they will always be die hard fans who collect all photo cards and instead of spending their money on voting or buying digitally, they spend it on photo cards which usually buying from other sellers and it won’t rlly benefit the idol themselves. Not to mention how album sales had to be spilt with their production team, staff, producers, photographers, etc etc so in the end the members got very less spilt from it.
I think all the extra albums should be put in a listen library, like we have little book lending libraries. That way they are not just tossed out. But they can just reach new people. That's what I would do with them.

Photocards are seriously such a scam, I'm sure they would bring nostalgia and memories in the future, but me personally, I would never put such effort or money into pieces of paper with kpop idols' faces on them.
I love photo cards cause western artists don't have them which is disappointing my opinion

Also when I inbox albums obviously im excited for the photo card and random inclusions but at the end of the day I don’t rllly care if I got my bias or not because it’s just a piece of paper that fans(including me) are obsessed with seeing. Like fr even if it’s not my bias I’m still obsessed in seeing and like holding the photcard while reading or doing stuffs.
It's sad because people are drooling over idol's face than appreciate their hard work . I am sure an idol will feel hurt upon seeing his own album ended up in trash can 😔😔😔
I agree with the ending fairy. To me it comes across a bit cringe rather then pretty or nice. Of course, its nice to look at the idols, but it doesn’t feel authentic anymore. Not to mention how many people made fun of the whole ending fairy thing

I miss the group endings;-; cuz I don't particularly have a bias and love all the members equally as their fan. It kind of feels unfair for the less popular members in the group if they weren't been pointed at by the camera. Also, I would like to point out about the photocards, lol I just made my own since I'm just a minor since I started liking kpop and am still.

The only useless thing is that silly fans will buy lots of albums just to get a certain photocard and to enter fansigns or fancalls! Then dump the albums or have them piled up in there house.
I personally like the photocards concept, but when it’s only albums, because in this case it really feels like smth special. But when there are bunch of releases and events and different commercials and 36743 versions of albums it becomes not as valuable, when for example to collect all the cards of only your bias it will take 356426 dollars and there will be 4532 different cards. It’s mush more interesting when all of them have a general concept like the same form and size and when it’s possible to collect all of them.
i would like it if all members got a fairy ending as a group every performance and i like the photocards but i wish people bought them for the music

I'm curious as to how long photocards and fansign events will last as more underage idols make their debut. It's not about whether consumers or fans will continue to buy albums for specific photocards and fansigning opportunities, which I'm sure they will, but rather about whether the company believes it's the right move for these underage idols. They don't know whether or not an underage member's photocard will end up in the wrong hands unless they are screening who is purchasing these photocards. Then there are fansign events, where underage idols are subjected to conversations with adults twice their age or older. It's not that all fans are too old; it's just that the debuting idols are too young. If they are underage idols themselves, they should limit the fansign events to underage people or people in the same or similar age demographic to them. In that sense, their parents can tag along without looking strange or out of place. We all know that an adult dating an underage person is wrong and having photos of an underage person will land you in jail, as is talking to an underage person without the presence of an adult, so why is deliberately exposing underage idols to adults during fansign events okay and has become something you do in K-pop culture? We are really placing a lot of faith in their agencies and security teams hoping that they know what they are doing when it comes to protecting the underage idols they debut. I know there will be some people commenting about the hypocrisy when it came to older female fans attending fansign events of young male idols, calling them "oppa" and asking them to do "aegyo." I'm saying that photo cards and fansign events for all underage idols of both genders are inappropriate and should be avoided. It's not right to use the past to justify and excuse what they're doing now to underage female idols is right because young male idols went through it. This is not a rite of passage in which underage female idols are subjected to older male fans calling them "Jagiya" and asking them to do "aegyo" because young male idols went through it in the past. Just because it happened to young male idols in the past doesn't mean we have to repeat history when we know that agencies nowadays are debuting young underage idols who are younger than the young male idols used as an example at an increasing rate. Isn't (G)IDLE's new song "Nxde" an attempt to combat idol sexualization in K-Pop? Aren't photocards and fansigning events with underage idols simply contributing to and exacerbating the issue that the idols are attempting to combat and raise concerns about?
Instead of traditional fansign events, they could hold a book club fansign event where they gather in a circle and read to younger children while parents watch, removing the pressure from young underage idols to speak or lead the conversation. Or they can travel to schools to do fansign events advocating for the importance of education, holding assemblies to talk about career choices, giving dance choreography lessons, vocal lessons, teaching aeygo, fashion tips and tricks, healthy diet/cooking, gym/exercise routine to maintain a healthy weight, and photography skills. These are the stuff they learned and trained rigorously for to debut. Maybe they can pass what they learn on to students. I'm sure these school children's parents will be thrilled that underage idols are advocating to help their children. Schools can also use this opportunity to encourage busy parents to attend school events and feel included. Instead of photo cards, parents, teachers, and students can take group photos. Those group photos are less likely to be shared, and they are more personal and memorable. Because these photo cards are limited to those who attend school events, they retain their value and encourage more schools, students, and parents to participate. If it means their children are happy, engaged, and learning in school, I'm sure parents will spend money on concert tickets and merchandise to create new family memories with their children at concerts. If they go this route, they should also make sure that the underage idols do not experience what the Aespa girl group did at Kyungbock High School during their performance. They should start with nursery school and elementary school-age students first as Blackpink girls did. They performed a nursery rhyme medley on the JTBC Voyage UA-cam channel.

For me fanmeetings should have lower people on it and be more one to one, like do u real think I am going pay to only handshake the hand of my fave idol... People love to explore the young generation and take money from them..

I think for extra albums people can resell them or can use it as an opportunity to interact with fellow fans by doing album giveaways. Or just like what another commenter said an album library. Where the albums can be stock together and be rented.

I really hate the ending fairy. It's usually the most popular member who gets to be the ending fairy. And, let's also include the thumbnail. It's just really annoying to see the face of 1 member(usually the most popular) as the thumbnail when it's a group performance. Its like they want to highlight 1 member only.
I strongly agree with the second and the third one. The second one just ticks me off. I would say, for the first one, I don't think it's the fans that don't want the photocards, otherwise, why would they be so happy to get them? Once again, it's toxic Netizens pretending to be like the fans that bias their idols in their favorite bands. They might try to trick you and lie by captioning that it's them who only care about the album and not their idols, but really, it is only them that's making a big deal over the fact that fans would do that because you know why... fans would never use disloyalty or any sign of ignoring any merchandise. Fans are the ones who support, don't bash and defend their idols when they know that it's not right. What we saw was not supporting or defensive. It was just plainly and simply bashing.

I agree / disagree with the photocards. 1- it’s up to the collectors whether it’s worth it. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean it’s useless. 2- I agree with the wastefulness of the albums. I like the poca and weverse albums for this. You get a collectible QR card and photocards and that’s it. The album and everything else is digital.

Photocards are like pokemon card or any rare cards that their fans collected, people like useless thing. Like some anime fans collected figura that could collect dust and to admire from time to time. It's the satisfaction feeling when you could get something that other people couldn't get and could see all collection line up perfectly. Shortly, it's a luxury. p/s: i don't collect photocards as I'm broke. And please donate me the album, I love album more than photocards.
For me fansign is a must, not for fans, it's for idols, fansign determine how popular you are, and how people accept you. It's just that how the company does make fans have a bad taste in their mouth.
I feel like they should balance out the ending fairy. I mean why not at the performance video, a group shoot and during fancam, their own have their ending fairy. It could increase viewers on fancam. What a great idea right?

Video chat with fans is incredibly stupid waste of time and money. IMy friend bought several video chats with the same idol for the same event and he said he didn't remember her even though he had just chatted with her. She laughed it off but we talked about how daunting it must be to have to talk to dozens of fans in it under an hour . Don't throw money on this!!!
Another thing is.. " the gifts" during fan meetings.. aside from buying albums the fan also will give something to their bias as a commerative item then later on that stuff won't be owned by them just a few (those expensive one 😂)
Collecting photocards is something millions of people finds fun, i personally think photocards is what makes the album more valuable and worth buying.. its like collecting Pokémon cards, those are pretty valuable ?

i do agree that photocards are pretty useless; but i do like them as a HEALTHY HOBBY. meaning if i buy an album i just keep the photocard i already got and be good with it (regardless of the member)
but some people will get so upset just bc their fav isnt on a piece of plastic... i can see why but dont cry about it please and just be greatful you have something, some people are over here not having anything 💀
i think companies should just include all the members photocard in one album or just sell a complete set of photocards separately and continuing to restock these sets of photocards (for things other than ablums too).... that way people dont have to trade or buy them for a MUCH higher price.

I am from the family of artist and I am a Filipino for me it is not worthy for example you cannot interact with your favourite idol for minutes but only seconds. Second ending fairy is not good idea because it cause lots of damage and issues who is the most and who is the worst. Also photo albums too many people are not photo album lovers that is why it's not a good idea for the company.

yeah, but if im not wrong they arent as crazy as kpop fans to the point that its not noticeable, and most of the japanese idol/actress/seiyuu (seiyuu is japanese voice actor bcz of the huge popularity of anime, in japan they're equal to idol or actress)are quite easy to found them on street, similar to western singer/actress, most of them only live in apartment and rarely had some house, also most of the time they go everywhere by train

Photo cards are the beanie baby of the kpop world. Ask beanie baby collectors during their hype days. None of them thought it was money well spent to get expensive rare beanie baby.

i watched the boys planet finale and i was actually so annoyed of how ridiculously LONG the ending fairy took... like,, nice performance, on to the next one PLS this shit is taking too long... also, if the choreo is like, INTENSE like WHAT and STILL need to do an ending fairy, like.. chile.. they are exhausted as hell, they are about to fall down because of how tired they are... LEAVE IT and some ending fairies are heck cringe too.
and about the fansign thing, i personally think that these are fun because you at least got to see your idol up close in your personal space, even when it is for a few seconds. also you also get your idol sign your stuff get selfies with them give little presents at them etc. but ye i agree that it is nonsense to buy so many albums just to not end up winning the fan sign, why can't they just sell tickets instead and make it limited? you save so much money this way

well, i personally never had an album until i saw xikers debut, so i got one but my parents gave me another one, there are people who are not those types that are just there for the pc's and being wasteful like me, i am planning to invest in a cd player as well. but i agree with why people sell those pc's of their favs because they are "limited" for so expensive? like, so many kpop fans are broke, the most expensive i would sell my "limited" pc would be €50 for me, you can make so many other people happy with it who doesn't have that much money the company is not being the one to blame for the album waste, but YOU as a FAN definitely is

1. Photo cards- I think if it comes out as a set (like newjeans album) then if would be more fair. Or maybe if it’s rlly random then make the total number of photo cards like not that much. Idk why some groups like to do 10 photocards per each member and give out only two randomly on each album... and about the album versions they shouldn’t have soo much because at the end is still the same cd just with different photobook or whatever. I would rather buy another album than buying two different version albums of the same songs.
2. Fansigns- I don’t think this is useless but it can be annoying if you spend soo much money to see your idols in person and talk to them for not even a minute.... it would be better if like you have to buy the tickets for fansign like concert tickets not buying 100 albums to find fansign ticket.... I mean it s a waste of album but it should be ok if you sell the rest of it not throw it away like trash
3. Ending fairy- yes it’s cool to watch at first and still is now(my opinion) but they should like include every member solo ending fairy(Ik it’s dumb and if there’s many members but like atleast choose more than one member in ending fairies) and have another quick group shot at the end too

Multiple versions of the same album like no more than 3.
I have A LOT of Jeongyeon photo cards and some Twice cards and Itzy cards. Theres so many Jeongyeon cards that it filled up a small plastic trading card box and still had more that didnt fit. I found em in a box of junk at work 👍
There were other cards there from other ggs and bgs I saw 2x Lucas cards, hes the only guy I recognized. There's also cards of other girls but I didn't recognize them 🤔🙂
What I really want tho are Garam and Jinni cards. Those are even more rare than shiny Pokemon 😂
I've found 8 Blackpink posters and a small BP sticker pack at work recently. The posters are either all HYLT era or various eras 👍

Bro... Photocard collecting is something that always happened. It is kinda weird to judge people whom collects idols photocards, when a lot of people collects sport cards, pokemon cards and etc.
It does sounds quite misogynistic to me. Cause people rarely judges those other collectors, as the majority of the public is male/adult. However, if the public is known to be popular between women/teens (even if it is not always the case) people will see with bad eyes.
I understand that a lor of people don't think about the social problem behind it, but it is something to think.
People don't collect photocards because they're "pretty", but because it's a hobbie. A common hobbie that happens in a lot of different types of media.

Flashcards aren't useless because if you buy an album and you get a photo of your idol then you would be happy. The only thing is that the pictures shouldn't be so rare as to be only found in albums. I know it's a business strategy but it would be better if the fans could find the picture elsewhere. Plus the fans are also at fault in this because even if the pictures are so rare why would spend so much money to buy so many albums and just waste them. That defeats the purpose of the album.
As for the fansigns I don't think it's useless at all. It'd just be better if the prices could be a bit reduced and if the staff wasn't so harsh. Plus if an idol would say that about a fan which means they don't love their fans because if you loved someone you would ignore their flaws.
And as for the ending fairy that shouldn't even be made a thing. It is normal if after a rigorous performance you breath heavily and if you look good then your luck.
If you call something useless it means the thing should be scrapped or something and I don't think these things should be scrapped especially the first two, just adjusted.
I'm not criticizing her opinion, just giving my opinion.
