Part 21 Potters House. working through the porch and attic... and still finding some treasures!

- Ok, seriously how much more stuff am I going to find in this house? :) Alex and Dave head out to work on clearing the porch, attic and basement to get the house ready for an open house this month and find some more treasures!
Watch this week as we get some final touches wrapped up on the house, and find a few gems along the way!

I what to tell Hanna something. At 9:36 she played a song on the piano. I loved it so much I went and found it The River Flows In You is now my favorite piano piece. So thank her for that

I liked the osb look, but it definitely has a cleaner look painted.
Seeing those “for sale” signs in the yard gave me a hint of sadness though.

Austin Don't stop believing in yourself you are very talented and still so young remember practice makes perfect. The two of you did an amazing job playing considering the piano was put of tune and no telling how long it's been since the last time anyone had played it. I'm trying to remember if one of the guys played chopsticks or something like that on that piano. By the way you did a beautiful job on the doors.
Don't you see! This house is magical. Another artist, playing the piano. You can't go into this house without it reaching out and touching people. Either the magical artists who come there, or us, a very captivated audience, who love's this place and will miss it terribly when we won't see it anymore.
My fave room - the front porch. Your father in law, he is great.

That piano... so many people that have come through this project have sat down and played that piano. It’s like the heart of the house reminding you that it’s still alive.
Is Mary's pottery stamp maybe also supposed to look like a B when turned? So it can be both an M for Mary and B for Borgstrom? Just a thought I had while looking at all her practice designs.

I got a tiny bit emotional listening to Hannah play - I was just thinking about how happy Mary would have been to have her house filled with beautiful music and young people bringing life out of her old piano. I don’t want this series to end! Thank you, Alex - and Hannah!

Alex, I have so enjoyed watching The Potter's House renovation, it hasn't just been the house being restored but you interacting with old and new friends that helped. Having family that volunteer to help show how much you are loved. Thank you for taking time out of your life to film and share this journey with us. Judy

And those twins are about as cute as anyone could ask for. It's great to see that there are still some teens that aren't of the "you owe me everything" class. I hate to see this set of videos end. Such a great transition of a really nice house.
@@richardcline1337 I'm having a hard time finding the kind of teens your refering to, Richard. Yesterday I met a group of teenagers picking trash in the forest, and all of them asked if they could pet my dog. They brought trash bags with them while playing frisbee-golf. Last Saturday a shady looking skateboarder helped an old guy picking up some fruit he knocked over at my local supermarked. I've seen random kids and young people help out those who struggle with the self check out system there, too. Don't worry, there is a lot of good hearted teenagers out there.

You and everyone that helped did an amazing job with this house.

The house is spectacular. Hopefully it will be a quick sale. The piano player was awesome as well. Alex, I'm starting to think you collect talented people, in addition to the antiques.
Alex does seem to have been able to find a lot of talented people including family members. He seemed to find someone to fill he needs it amazing how that has worked out.
Can't tell you how much I love front porches. They are what gives a house a big part of its charm. Enclosed porches are wonderful. I'm enclosing mine this summer but with screens only. No glass.

The porch is so beautiful! It could almost be like an attached green house. I imagine lots of pretty house plants and hanging ferns,etc. And a cute little sitting nook for reading a good book

Well, you mentioned tauntauns and Hannah played Yiruma amazingly well...the quality of your show is really impressing me more and more each time I watch! Anything Star Wars wins me over. Hannah has some chops too. She really played an extremely difficult song rather well off the cuff on an untuned piano! Great job Hannah! These are very informative, intelligent, and interesting shows. It can take up to 75 people or more to do a reality show for television and most are not even near the quality of what you produce. You really know what people enjoy watching as well which is key and you leave out the tacky glitz most UA-camrs seem to rely on. It is about the caliber and perfect content of your shows and I know how difficult it is to do what you do! Great job once again!
