Hi again from Ireland. Love all your vids, so honest and informative. Those freshly set wheat fields look awesome. As we say.. Now you sucking diesel. Keep it between the ditches n keep it lit!!
I am in middle Ga. and we haven't had any measurable rainfall in about six or seven weeks. Very dry here. Good for cotton and peanut harvest but not so much for winter grain planting. I just finished helping a friend pick 1500 acres of peanuts. Running six KMC six row pickers it took us 19 days straight. He has 6000 acres of cotton in four counties. He started picking yesterday but I told him I didn't want any part of it. I am too old for that now. May mow some stalks for him but I don't know. All we got from the hurricane was a cool breeze. Sure need rain...
I'm in Eastern Colorado, and we use hoe drills that are on 12" spacing. And they are not a big fan of trash, and sometimes act like a big rake. We use a case international 7100, and a Noble DK5 drill, and this year boss man got a new to us crustbuster shank drill that we used on the last 125 ac and it worked pretty good.
