Hi, I agree with you on every point. My impression was that she desired to display her shoes because thats how much she likes shoes. I'm very different in that sense also. I feel the show was a light intro to the depth of the book, and also, found Marie very charming and sweet. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
I binge watched the whole season. I wish Marie did show her own house room by room. That would be really inspiring. I prefer the technique shown in other program called Consumed where the families have to pack all of their belongings and live for two weeks just with a suitcase of clothes and 10 non essential items. Then they go to the warehouse where all of their belongings are stored and have to discard 75% of all their clutter. I liked that the presenter dwells deeper into the issue of where the hoarding problem comes from. Also, one thing that you mentioned Nida that was missing in Marie's program- Consumed presenter works with someone who creates storage solution and completely reorganizes/redecorates the house. Transformations were amazing.
Hi, it is very easy to maintain. I hardly ever water it & it doesn't require much of sunshine. This is the only plant that is surviving dark British winter!
I agree completely with you nida! I wish they had voice overs for marie (and less of the translator Ida) just to avoid the switching back and forth between subtitles which I find can be a bit disorienting. I also agree that their houses still look pretty cluttered at the end, some more needs to be done. also, advice (especially for the future) needs to be more articulated (maybe bulleted) for people really trying to learn from the show and change their lives. more of the progress part needs to be shown too. the show shows a lot of the before and a lot of the after (kind of result based goals) but not much of HOW they got there. I want to see the struggle, the long hours, etc.

But she is such a beam of light! Her positivity and attitude dowrds tidying up is so inspiring, I relly do t like watching those shows that have rude, arigant decluttering experts.
Yes, that's true I don't think she is a minimalist just tidying up expert but I did expect to see space being clear, calm & not cluttered. Second home did a great job but I feel they did it by themselves not with guidance from Marie. If I never saw the before I would see this home as very cluttered

I have watched the first two episodes. I love Marie’s techniques and approach to tidying and decluttering. But I think it’s too perfect. I haven’t seen a struggle from the people. Now maybe as I watch the rest of the episodes there will be but I feel it’s too perfect and not 100% real.
I felt just the same. Would love to see the struggle because I'm sure there is. However, some people take things more lightly than others. I guess as with any book we read we like book more than a movie. Similarly here I imagined Marie being perfect at arranging the space and hiding the clutter away but I didn't see that in first few series. Perhaps, we will see something different in series to come!
