I bought a pair of this but in black color a month ago, I love them even if the 2mm sole is challenging for me when I wear them all day long. Hope they last :)
I’ve grabbed a box of Liquiproof that has cleaner, protect and refresh in it I’m giving a try at the moment. Same sort of thing as you’ve described. Will be sharing thoughts on it soon
@harrisonmudge I have a question, my size for regular shoes is 45 eu and I haven't got barefoot shoes yet. Considering your experience - you've got same size as usual with vivo or did you size up ? Ive checked their instruction for measuring the feet and it looks like I can even get 46, but I'm really not sure it will be the right size. Thank you in advance =)
@@ericd9402 Good question. It's tough as some of it depends on fit preference. It's always good to have a bit of additional space for the extra movement but you of course don't want them too big as they'll feel like flippers on your feet! I'd say go with their recommendation as I think it's pretty accurate most of the time. The Primus Lite Knit does have a good amount of length so for me but would say they fit 'true to size'. I know it can be a bit annoying but they do have a great 100 day trail policy so if you go for the size they recommend and they don't fit right then you can send them back and get a better fitting pair. If you're unsure, you could buy both the 45 and 46 and just keep the ones that fit you best. (aware that that's a lot of money to tie up while you find the right fit but it's a bit quicker to get both and compare) Hope that helps bud. Don't forget to checkout the links and discounts in the description too 👌
Good point and I actually did try using Liquiproof Labs but it was the first time I used the product so think I didn't coat these enough. Will have to give them another try.
Great glad it helped! For me they’ve held up pretty well but I don’t wear all the time so they don’t get abused. I try to keep them clean but if you’re getting the white be prepared for them to get grubby quick! Other than that they’re doing great 👌🏻 Link to them in the description if you’ve not already got them 👍🏻👍🏻
Hello Harrison, The Vivobarefoot Primus Lite shoes which I run in are the older ones with a tongue, but this one being more of a sock design, are they as comfortable as the older one with the separate tongue please ?
Hey, good question. And I’d say it might depend on your fit preference and how the knit will fit your foot. The regular Primus lite can be looser or tighter depending on how you do the laces whereas from my experience with the knit, it’s naturally going to feel a bit more ‘snug’ because of the sock like element. Which you can then make tighter with the laces. You can still get both, the regular Primus lite and then the Primus Lite knit so you’ve got the choice. Personally I really like the snug feel of the knit but unless you’re sensitive to that I don’t think you can go wrong with either as they’re both a nice fit overall.
I’ve had them a while but I don’t wear all the time so they’ve not been thrashed and still looking white (ish). I’ve seen someone else with a pair and theirs were getting a dark grey look to them just from all the build up of grub and scuffs but I’d imagine they could be cleaned back to white, it might not be perfect though so if you are concerned about the colour I’d recommend getting a darker pair
Thanks mate. It presses in a little at the crease but it’s not too bad. It doesn’t cause any blisters or anything like that and I’ve worn them for extended periods of time now with no issues. So overall, yes you know it’s there but these shoes have a nice snug feel so you don’t notice
I have been wearing the Primus lites for a while and I love them but with these ones, I struggled as like you say, the tongue part digs in and it was actually really uncomfortable. Feet naturally swell when they get hot so if you wanted to any long walking or running then these in my opinion are definitely not the right option.
@tedwardtre4318 yeah it’s definitely going to depend on the individual. I notice it but it’s not an issue for me. I assume it’s just where it sits on my foot. I’ve worn mine all day today moving here there and everywhere and they’re super comfortable. My feet do sometimes swell too but I’ve not had issues in these. Sorry to hear they’ve worked out as well for you
@@harrisonmudge The designs are a lot more aesthetically pleasing so I wish I could wear them. Love my Vivos generally though, I guess I just have massive ankles 🙃😅
Yeah I hear ya. They’re not all perfect and there’s so much variance with people, fits, preferences and all that. The VivoBiome project I’m involved with is looking at all that too so it’s exciting to be part of. Hopefully they’ll have the perfect one for you soon 👌🏻
These would definitely work in the gym. If you had the choice though I think their new Motus Strength would also be a great option. That one is definitely focused on gym workouts. I don’t currently own a pair but they’re getting nothing but positive reviews so I don’t think you can go wrong either way.
@@harrisonmudge I waited for Vivobarefoot to finally made my size 5, so I ordered the Primus Lite III and received the size 5, but it was an inch too long for my mini feet. I tested the shoes at the gym and hiit workout yesterday. Wow! I’m impressed the stability of the shoes. I love the look of the Primus knit but I was afraid it might not be good for HIIT/gym. Yes, I read reviews on the Motus, but they don’t have my size yet. I don’t know if they will restock any time soon. So for weightlifting, would you go with the Motus design?
Personally I'd go for the same size as they're near identical in length. These are a little more 'snug' though due to their knit style but they feel great on the foot.
You’re not wrong! They’re definitely a dirt magnet. I cleaned them and then treated them with some Liquiproof protection spray and they seem to be doing a bit better this time 👌🏻
They do still use leather on some of their range, for now anyway. Yeah, not gonna lie, they are a little eye watering at the price. Mainly because it means you can’t buy more. Suppose they’d rather you pay 120 for 1 pair rather than hope you bought 2 pairs around the 60/70 quid price. I definitely think you’d get more people buying them and ‘giving them a go’ at the 60-70 price point. At that range it’s no different to a pair of Nikes people buy.
Yeah fair play. I’ve replaced all my shoes so I try to have a pair for different occasions. Took a while to build 😅 but I do think because I switch between different pairs through the seasons too I don’t wear them out too quick either
Love these videos!
Thanks mate!
Just ordered a pair after watching this. I also love a shoe that has a good lockdown through the laces but leaves my toes feeling free to splay
Awesome mate 👌🏻 yeah these feel so nice to wear. What colour did you go for?
@@harrisonmudge I got the white 😅 at first I’ll mostly use them in the gym so hopefully they’ll stay white for at least a few wears hahaha
@andyk4676 I give it about 2 sessions before they’re nearly black 😅🙏🏻

I use Instant Cleaner + Rain & Stain Protector by Slazenger on my vivos.
It’s inexpensive and works great and easy
Amazing. Definitely gonna take a look at this. Is it / are they just a spray? And is it for a specific material?
@@harrisonmudge just a spray ( foam for the cleaner ) and I believe for all materials
