A look at the highlights of October 1 2022. Whilst the company didn’t mark the occasion as much as previous years the park was still full of a lot of like minded fans.
I had the great pleasure of meeting Martin at EPCOT’s 40th. He’s every bit as friendly (and knowledgeable) in person as he seems online. He even gave me and a few other fans a quick tour through Imageworks and showed us a few notable locations from the Imagination pavilion’s past. The future of the park may be questionable at the moment, but it’s thanks to people like Martin that we can continue to remember EPCOT in its golden age.
She hasn’t aged well. Time has been brutal and she’s an entirely different entity than what she was created to be. 😞 Thank you, Martin, for including some music from during her more happier times!
I was thinking that, when I paused to read the flyer helds up at the start of the video. I've never been, but a friend introduced me to EPCOT and the wider WDW experience via these videos and her own innumerate experience, and even I can recognise that EPCOT today has very little do with its original concept.
@@oxymoron02 The original Epcot Center was something brand new no one had even experienced for a theme park before and was more like a worlds fair. It gave you a very warm and nostalgic feeling that has completely been erased over the years. The current WDI ideas of honoring the past while moving into the future for the park is dead. Nothing can bring back that feeling of the original Epcot Center and it’s sad. I was 12 years old that first year of Epcot Center and will never forget the experience I had there.
I am a huge fan of the original EPCOT Center, but I also know that the world has changed since its opening and not in the way the park was showcasing the future (remember Horizons?). So, Epcot has to evolve. Still my favorite park.
Great to hear classic songs at the entrance area that haven't been heard before like the version of the Computer Song and Canada but I do wish it had been more ready to hold the crowds with the missing destroyed Communicore sections... :( Thanks for documenting this, Martin. It means a lot even though I wasn't there that day :D
And apparently, a new 1-level festival pavilion about CommuniCore Hall and Plaza and Dreamers Point are coming to the section of World Celebration pavilions at EPCOT!!! And that was the named after the demise of Future World pavilions!!!! Right?
I love this park! By chance, my 1st visit was the year it opened, on the week Journey to Imagination opened. I also visited with family the year it turned 5, 15, 30 and now 40. Hopefully by the 50th we’ll see Moana, a new narration for Spaceship Earth, my favorite current EPCOT attraction, and some respect for lil’ Figment. It was everyone’s favorite park on our recent trip. I visited both with cast members and with friends and it was still magical.
WOW!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩 Now, that was the legendary Masterpiece!!! Happy anniversary, EPCOT!!!🎉🎉🎉 And Thank you, Martin!!!😘😘😘 Now, I'm waiting for "The EPCOT Experience Center by Martin" and "Harmonious by Martin"!!!

HAPPY 40TH ANNIVERSARY EPCOT!! ♡♡
Hearing all those old songs make you mess the good old days at EPCOT Center!

It saddens me that I'll never get to experience EPCOT Center as it once was.
Martin's Videos can give you the closest experience. Maybe one day, they'll create a perfect 1:1 VR experience to show you the true magic of epcot
This is the closest we'll ever get to a Harmonious edit
I hope there will still be one, even if I know he doesn't like the show.
And it's for the sake of those who love it.
Thank you. Ashame EPCOT has been phoning it in for a long time. Sometimes I think I imagined how wonderful it used to be
Always look forward to seeing your newest EPCOT content!

I actually was there too. I can't belive I missed you.
