When I was a kid during rainy season the schools were declared holiday at that time I played the game downhill exactly like this in Ps2. I can still remember that my friend beat me all the time. Its kind of fun that we have in our childhood days, missing those days :(
I wanted to believe "most beautiful sports game" title, but then developed by ubibug, published by ubibug. NOPE.
I used to like the Rocket Power game. You could play as different characters, had multi player mode and a proper story. No paid DLC for extra characters.
Downhill domination is the name of the game. I still have it and my old ps2 put up in the closet.
The kind of games where you try everything in few hours and never touch it ever again, although its pretty good looking.

for the right player, this game will offer hours and hours of sandbox entertainment. just going into zenmode and trying different tricks and findings spots will be fun. i guess it all depends on the player and their interest.

I love the reduced, realistic and detailed sound design! It creates a beautiful atmosphere!
Yes, the ambiance is wonderful, but he spent his time riding very fast and rough and never take his time to contemplate. Beside, he disturbed nature with noise and brutal action, and deteriorate nature with this kind of movements. So the decor is only a instrument for the own human's interest. It show how much we listen to our own needs, even if it destruct nature, just to have big sensation (while we could have a powerful sensation just by sitting in complete nature, and enjoy the silence and passive energy). Humans should learn to listen to nature's need, instead to listen to their needs. Nature needs calm, peace, harmony, connection, but also a natural pace. It's not something you give when you drive like crazy and disturb fauna and don't respect the natural rythm. So yes, it's a beautiful ambiance, but it's instrumentalized to respond to human's egotic needs...
Downhill domination was always a favorite of mine on ps2 so this should be badass too. Definitely looking like it

Grabbed this for $25 the other day, should be delivered today and I'm so stoked. Me and my son had so much fun taking turns in Steep. Something about watching my kid fail at that game remains hilarious to this day.

@@Aeri29 eso es una caída.. el juego lo traduce así. Es solo una animación. Debería ser más realista en esto... Un modo carrera con lesiones, reparaciones o cambios de bicicleta, moto, esquíes... etc.

Back in my day we had a snowboarding game and a snow mobile game on PlayStation I forget it’s name but it was SICK
They could make this game so much better with some diverse tracks like the old SSX game, banging music tracks and some type of coming through the ranks story line like first need for speed underground when you get on the covers of magazines etc.
Remember when we could play these kinds of games with a kick @$$ soundtrack without worrying about copyright? I remember the good ol days of ATV Off Road Fury while jamming to Chevelle!

I actually might buy this on PS5. I miss playing these type of games, especially from the PS2 generation.
ATV, MX, and even Racing Games. I just don’t play them anymore but this gives me the nostalgia for those particular games. Seemingly not popular like they use too nowadays unless I’m ignoring them.
Nah man, they really don't make games like they used to because the gaming industry grew so fast and so quickly that it transformed into a greedy cash cow. Now AAA publishers buy up studios left and right, put them under one roof and then pump out half-finished safe investments like online shooters, annual sequels or empty sandboxes. There's little room for niche markets outside of underfunded indie efforts so devs seldom get greenlit for cool shit like this.
Downhill series
I can confirm, this is the first of its kind that I’ve seen in years. PS2 era of ATV & MX-style games were more open and encouraged exploration to a greater extent. I’d spend an hour or two per map as a kid just riding around the map and seeing all I could see. This will definitely convince me to get the PS5 at an earlier time than I was expecting to.

Epitome of gamers nowawdays, not realizing what they are playing and just paying for graphics. Downhill Domination on PS2 still feels much more speed and acceleration with graphics of 18 years ago.

I’ve been waiting for a fun sports game like this for ages. I miss the really good snowboarding games from the 2000’s this gives me a similar vibe although it’s mountain biking. I got so much enjoyment making clean runs on those games.

This looks great. They should add some longboard to the game as well. Would be awesome to have the alternative to switch to longboard for the steep asphalt roads. I still haven't experienced longboard in a video game. I always hoped the Skate series would introduce it at some point.
You should try STEEP by Ubisoft if you didn't it. One of the most meditative Game i've ever tried. It's really delightful when you just riding across the French mountains by snowboard.

Played it on PS4 Slim and it runs so smooth and looks amazing - the lighting, the texture quality and the overall look are beautiful.
I'm absolutely not a fan of extreme sports, except cars and planes but this game really made me fall in love with it. Much fun and variety and nice physics :)
