@@Simon.Freund What I been noticing in watching you play doubles Is there's hardly any backswings except for down the line shots of high balls or when you got time on slower balls, for there's no time to take the racquet all behind you with the ball zipping around at this speed. There's only time to extend out the arm to the ball and then just rip the racquet head all up or through it depending on what finish you use normal or the reverse. Do you guys use the reverse finish ever as a serve return on the forehand or just use the normal finish instead for ripping back the serves and groundstrokes? I do know in order to control the ball going at this speed and power we have to shorten up the swings and eliminate most of the backswing. They do try to bash the ball back at me down at the club and the only way I can rip the ball back is by shortening up the swings so I got time to rip it. Now doing block volleys on the full off guys who are ripping forehands or backhands with power is something that my coach never taught me how to do.. I'm intrigued with your blocking abilities up at the net when it comes to aggressive baseline returns.
Hey! I'll certainly get to that!! Right now it's mainly gonna be some match footage I believe as I just have so much footage in the pipes haha. Stay tuneddd and I promise I'll get to it :)
Hey! Yes I am, I have the white 2 in 1 shorts and then a dark blue shirt :) We look a bit similar me and my partner haha, but I'm the guy playing on the ad side the whole match!
Not 100% sure, but I believe both our opponents play with the Head speed. Not sure they're specs, and as they're really good juniors, I'd assume they have the pro version and their own specs as well. I play with the Pro stock version of Wilson Blade 18x20, and my partner plays with a Yonex, not sure on the exact model!
@@Simon.Freund thank you! I’ve been trying to ask everyone I can as I am trying to decide on a new racket. I may just stick with the blade but switch to a 18/20 string pattern. When you say pro stock version of the blade is that the 98 head size? And can it be purchased on Wilson or Tennis Warehouse?
Certainly very high, both of them are the top juniors in the world and are makin moves already on the senior circuit!! Especially Bailly is very strong and I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do in the future
@@Simon.Freund Played in interclub against him 5 years ago when he was 12y old and lost lol. What do you think he currently misses in his game to make a big step? is it just power/physicality/serve?
Cool! Hmm don’t think he lacks much to be honest. He seemed very focused and solid ground strokes when we played him. Maybe a little more pace on his serve and some better net play. But I really think he’s on the right track and seems to be very mature and professional for his age already
Hi simon could u give your rackets specs and strings u use in optimal conditions ~20 C. Looking for somthing new, Ive been using mostly pure drives 300-315 with 25.5/ 24.5? Maybe share drills on court u use too (in free time) :PPP
Hey Kuba! I play with a wilson pro blade, 18x20. Weights around 310g stripped (no overgrip or strings counted). Then I play with RS Paris strings (very similar to Babolat RPM) which give very good grip on the ball which I like. For me, I always use the same strings, I only adjust the tension depending on the weather and court conditions. The more slow and cold conditions, I usually lower my tension by around 0.5-1kg from my normal 23kg. Then if it's super fast I increase my tension to around 23.5-24kg. Hope that answer was to some help atleast haha.. And yes, I'll surely try and get some of that posted!! For now it's gonna be a lot of match footage comin up!! Best, Simon
Babic is amazing at the net lol
Yeah really is!! The guy puts away everything and is fearless up there.
Which guy was that?

Are you playing in the match Simon?

@@Simon.Freund awesome!! You and you’re partner are really strong at the net, and some really good placement shots
@@Simon.Freund why are all you players so good at tennis??
Nice play
Thanks!

Don’t post scores so I have no clue who were winning?
Getting better at it!
