KLM Business Class Flight Review ✈️ New York to Amsterdam

- It is time to board another plane and take a flight on a NEW airline for us! We are flying KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. Our flight takes us from New York (NYC) to Amsterdam (AMS). We are flying on a Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner. This is flight 2 of 11 flights we will take on this trip.
We will review the seat, the food, the service and the flight overall. When we land in Amsterdam we have a few hours to spend at the Crown Lounge #25. This is one of the flagship lounges that KLM operates in the Schipol airport in Amsterdam. We will then take another shorter flight on a Boeing 737-800, a narrow body plane that KLM flies on shorter trips.
We have a great travel day and hope that you find the information in the video helpful as you perhaps are planning a trip of your own.

You travel in style. Love flying the Dream Liner, inflight food looked amazing. Normally on North Worst its Chicken or Paster. You flew over my house. No eating those funny cakes in Amsterdam. LOL

Yes, a 6 hour flight would make one want to pay extra for more comfortable seating. For that, even I might treat myself to business class--I might even be tempted to go first class for a flight that long. But, like I said I'm pretty frugal when it comes to spending money on myself/my own comfort.

Business class is very comfortable for long hours flight

I've only ever flew once, it was domestic. First leg of my flight was on a small regional plane. Second leg was on a larger plane, but I was in the cheap seats, cuz I was a broke college kid at the time. Business class and First class look a lot more comfy from what I've seen in movies/TV/internet. But if I ever fly again, being the frugal sort, I'll probably go for the cheap seats again (Unless I can convince someone else to pay for it lol). You guys know how to travel in style, and yes sometimes it's worth it to spend the few extra bucks to upgrade, but my frugal upbringing would make it difficult to justify (to myself) treating myself to such an extravagance.
I (Mrs. Karnes) grew up in a frugal household and we have certainly been frugal for most of our lives. We started traveling after our children were grown, educated and married. We went on many economy flights before we splurged. Warning... if you ever fly in business class or first you will never want to fly economy again!!! LOL So, we are hooked. Many of our flights are taken using points not paid for with money so that really helps.

Clearly didn't care much about the privacy of fellow passengers. Paying a fortune to have someone film your face. Loved the safety video but ignored the part where KLM states not to film any crew or passenger without explicit consent.
Honestly? You buy presents for the crew? Why?

It’s a little way for us to say thanks for providing great service. We’ve found that FA are oftentimes not treated in the best way, and we decided to “sow” some goodness forward. @@mrs.karnesandme In my personal opinion, as a classical european, tipping FAs it is completly over the top! The moment they signed the contract they know their job! Yes, sometimes they also have to handle with complicated clients, but the same with ALL people dealing with clients! Do you tip in every shop, in every hotel, in every hospital, in every museum and and and?? FAs have a great life. Their job is definatly not to hard and they have the possibility to see the world. But most of them have one big problem: they always look for attention and complain about everything. I am sorry that I have a completly different opinion. But I hope that it was worth to buy them presents and I hope that they treated you nice and friendly. Normally this is not something that should be expected from KLM flight attendants.
