THE SUBSTRATE
Prepping the surface of the countertops is easy. Most surfaces just need to be sanded (80-100 Grit) then wiped clean. Granite and Marble will need the sealer removed. Tile will need the grout lines filled with Bondo and sanded smooth before applying our Countertop Kits.

EPOXY PRIMER COAT
Priming the Countertops is simple and fast. Mix your pre-measured primer then dip and roll the pigmented primer across the surface until the countertop surface is completely covered. Wait 1 hr. (or until tacky and not coming off to the touch) and start applying the Base Coat.
METALLIC EPOXY COAT
There are so many different applications for our metallic epoxy coat. In this video, we show you the dirty pour technique. When you place your order you'll receive step by step tutorial videos that will show you how to apply this part depending on the look you're going for!
HIGH WEAR TOP COAT

It works better on counter tops than floors. I did a dirty pour floor with Leggari epoxy and tried using a brief fine mist spray with denatured alcohol but I could only spray it when I could still walk on it with spikes. After spraying it then more bubbles appeared later but I had no access at that point to spray again and there were a lot of bubbles in some areas. Also, despite trying hard to spray as frugally as possible the denatured alcohol substantially altered the appearance of the color pattern. After sanding the bubbles off flush I used crystal clear gorilla glue in a plastic squeeze Bottle with an 18-gauge needle type applicator to fill the bubble holes (then re-sand the top) before applying a top coat.
Copper or metallic brown. Love these products. Wish we had seen this before our spendy granite.

Bought the large kit and colors already from you huys with the intention of starting with a dark grey or black base then adding an overlay of coffee, and sandalwood then grey to mellow things out Hoping to use the grey to give a smokey look over the rest, any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated

We don't recommend using latex paint. Have we done it yes but it took way longer to get hard then it should!
And also with just this one coat is the countertop durable like scratch resistant heat resistance without needing a flood coat? Or would you still recommend a flood coat

I do have a question: when you were putting the spray canned colors in the medium pots, were you adding the epoxy colors you mixed also? I'm a diy beginner? I'm really trying to get this down so it will look like yours.

How is the scratch resistanCe of your urethane top coat compared to the quartz (simulated stone).
I plan to do this for my kitchen but I worry more about the durability and scratch resistance than the aestic part.

How long do u spray the d alcohol after?
When priming the counter tops will it cause a texture problem if the existing counter tops have some texture? The counter tops I’m looking to epoxy aren’t completely smooth they aren’t defects or gouges just the natural texture.

What should be the composition of Denatured Alchohol. I am using 99% isoproply Alchol. Please suggest.
Just any denatured alcohol will work to pop bubbles and spot on with the 99% isopropyl for the dispersing effect
Can you do a video on removing the tape from the wall? Do you have to run a blade to score it?
I do resin art and I use a heat gun to help peel off tape, it works really well, I don’t know if yours might be too thick but it can’t hurt to try if you only heat the bits your trying to pull off, hope this helps x
If you tape it at the right hight about 1/8 inch high it will pull really easy the next day, you might have to cut it a little bit if the tape gets stuck in the epoxy or sits more than a day or two!

Is all denatured alcohol the same? I see several different kinds in the stores with fuel, glass cleaner, etc behind the words denatured alcohol. Which one is the right one?
Just any denatured alcohol will do the trick!
Oh and the color, I would add gold
At the back of my counters there is a lip about 3inches going up the wall. Does it need to be removed to do epoxy top? How? Thank you.
We recommend removing it if possible!

Can you torch than denatured alcohol just to make sure no bubbles. As a rule of thumb for any resin?
Most other resin companies recommend torching their projects to remove air bubbles. We do not because our resin is engineered to push bubbles to the surface and torching can become hazardous. The first thing we spray is 91% or higher isopropyl alcohol; this creates cells in the design and disperses the epoxy. Once that evaporates, we spray denatured alcohol to pop remaining micro bubbles. I've noticed you hardly use Red guard on top and bottom of the countertop before you begin. Any reason why?
Our WB primer is not permeable, and does the same thing!

Yes! You will want to take into consideration applying extra epoxy to the top and pulling the tape/weather stripping while the epoxy is more fluid so it fully flows over the edge. Contact our customer service for assistance!

@@LeggariProducts Please tell me that was a joke! Over 100 tutorial videos going back 7 years? Yeah, I watched many of them and it DID NOT HELP! Just a suggestion.. How about creating a single FULL instructional video? Send that one video to buyers. When you make updates, remove the old video and upload a new full instructional. Cover things like when to remove backsplash tape, when to spray, how to fix accidental bumps in the dry process, when a roller should or should not be used, specifically what the roller label should say, when and why to make a edge tape wall. Don't skip ANY step in the edit like EVERY single video does.

It was glass smooth but then applying included gloss top coat added a texture to it. It’s not glass smooth anymore. Is that how gloss topcoat is or did I not do it right? Mine has white so couldn’t do a epoxy flood top coat according to support.
The gloss does have a slight texture to it, the matte does not!
Will 91% Isopropyl Alcohol work? Hard to find denatured alcohol.

I tried the tape dam method using those strips and it was a disaster for me. Left a bunch of adhesive residue behind.
We only recommend using the same brand weatherstripping we use in our videos. We get our weather stripping from home depot and it is MD brand
