i got a magged 15 fathom and it still has the ratchet. it also has a special cover for the bearing on the mag side. i have had it 4 years and its great
that's my reel and I have it back now,its like a different reel .i can give it a good whack and get no line lift.had side plates done off Jamie for my akios tournos and they are top class to,ive sent him my trq to sort out to.cant recommend him enough.great quality and very fast service
Having watched the rest of the video, it's easy to why P M R is PMR, yes Jamie your stuff as you call it is a thousand times better, not only the products you use, but the expertease with witch you carry out your transformations from standard to full pimps. top marks mate, Les. I'm surprised some people find the Fathom 15 uncontrollable. With only 2 of 6 centrifugal brakes out, I'm not even thumbing the spool until just before the sinker lands. These are big bait launches mind you.
Great vid mate. The tackle shop wouldn't be in Sunderland by any chance. The work looks familiar. I've just acquired a Penn 525Mag (sliding version). Could you possibly show me how to service it please. Not very knowledgeable on multipliers. Keep up the good work

I stopped making this upgrade some time ago as there are so many other better wheels on the market these days. For example: The Penn mag3 is a great price and has stainless steel gears as well as a comprehensive magnetic braking system.
Plain speaking, never seen such crap as this before, had i bought this, the supplier would have gotten it strait back with a request for a full refund, appalling bodge job.

Now totally superseded by the Fathom MkII CS Mag which has a different side plate, spool and spindle.

You only have 6mm x 3mm magnets in your reels! That's why you still have the ratchet.
