Everything is going back to the look of the old Troopy. Even Toyota itself. We went through years of cutting edge shape moulding. To produce the least wind resistance. Saves fuel. We were told. Less noisy. Now we are back to a brick with doors. And a tub on the back. Progress is such a wonderful thing.

Yeah good point. I know with some models like the Ranger, ARB worked pretty close during some development stages. It’ll be interesting to see how this eventuates.
Fascinating. You hear the human brain is really good at identifying faces, but I think that also applies to cars for some people. Can't wait to compare the 'identikit' to the subsequent mugshot!
Hey brett, are you able to review and test the Mazda CX-30 with the 2.0 Fwd spec? All I see on UA-cam is the 2.5 AWD spec or with the supercharged engine.
Hey mate, thanks for the request. We just tested a 2.5L Touring SP AWD actually lol - video coming soon. I'm pretty sure the press fleet doesn't have a 2.0L available but I'll double check 👍
Especially when the V6 diesel in the Kia Mohave is Euro 6 compliant already means it doesn’t make sense too not use it 🤦♂️ I’m guessing they are struggling with packaging the AdBlue side of it, the new Ford Everest V6 has AdBlue and I’m guessing a space saver spare but the V6 Ranger doesn’t and this makes me think there is not enough room to package the AdBlue system and a full size spare. Ssangyong has done the same with the Musso on Rexton, the Rexton gets a more powerful version of the same engine but has AdBlue but the Musso misses out because they can’t fit the AdBlue and full size spare into the available space.
If it looks like that, might have Jeep coming after them with a lawsuit for taking some design elements from the Gladiator. Just as they did with Mahindra and the Roxor/Thar.
The eco vandals about will insist on hybrid versions, even tho they will never buy one themselves. I can’t wait till people vote with their pay checks and this virtual signaling crap dies and goes broke. This thing looks huge tho so I hope it’s gruntier than a 2.2 in it
It hasn't been officially revealed yet. Our renderings are based on a development vehicle that had been witnessed by an insider, at that point of its development. It is only an indication but it is pretty accurate in terms of some of the detail and proportions (according to our insider).
A kia Ute sr5 hilux comparitive model, cannot be the same price. Get real. It needs to be 8-10k cheaper to sell more than 1,or I'll eat my hat. No one buying a Ute will care about the fancy screens a hilux will win everyday of the week.

Agree. Look at the latest Prado, Santa Fe, and even the EV9. All pretty boxy.
U read my [feeble] mind! Car companys r becoming like polys...fulla shit!
Wow. That rendering is too cool. I wish. If they did i would buy 1000%
NICE . Can it load a EU pallette on the back ? Design is beautiful !!! Hope it comes to Thailand
Makes sense considering the pickup ute segment is the highest selling segment in Australia. The Ranger sold over 50,000 units alone this year.
We're only 23 days in and they've sold 50k?

Great scoop Brett, well done!
Thanks mate 👍
On these spec's Ford ,Toyota,D max have no fear's
Nice scoop! Those renders are really well done. I wonder how early a company like ARB gets to check out an incoming model.

Chuck Norris is Vlogging. 😁😁😜✌️
They need to give their in-line 6 Diesel from the GV80 a new use, it seems like a waste of an engine to discontinue it.
Totally agree. Such a waste of an engine, and one that's still pretty new.
I am hoping this comes to North America!
Will be interesting to see if they bring back their 3.0l v6 diesel for this later on.
Hopefully the inline-6 from the Genesis GV80 🤞
That Diesel Engine? Seriously...wot a wasted opportunity...

why no 6 pot diesel option?

Let’s see! Confirmed to debut later this year.
The tail lights need to extend up further, they are awful
Agree
Yeah, just give us the two internal combustion options. Forget the E-Ute.
E-ute can get in the ocean. We need the lightning or R1 here

@@angusnz7910 the 2.2 in the Carnival and Sorento go well enough. Cant see it being worse than the 2.4. In the Triton or the dogshit Nissan.
Bet it has better fuel economy and auto than my 2.8D4 Hilux, the ranger has better fuel economy than the hilux. BUT 2.2 is too small.
If it doesn't have a V6 at the entry lvl models not interested.
It doesnt look like rhis.... The design is closer to the ev9 front... Theres multiple videos on here 2025 Tasman.

no ranger for me just yet then

Hilux way overrated and overpriced. Even the new gr is nothing special still running the same 2.8 with an extra 50nm, big deal.
