Another dumb way to “counter” bristleback is magic slayer. It may not kill him but it greatly reduce his damage and his life steal. You can ignore him and focus on others.
How to deal with bristle back using pugna: - skill your 3rd skill instead of lvling up your second skill at lvl 3 bc the move basically deals dmg to enemy whenever they use abilities - try using your first move to last hit creeps that is out of your carry range - harass using m1 ( you don't want the bristleback to have their own 20 wand charges cuz then he can sustain in lane so easily) - usually want to push the lane so you can spam your 1st move on the tower since it does huge amount of the dmg to towers( yes some moves can deal dmg to tower) - If you see bristleback is still a main threat then i recommend rushing spirit vessel after aether lens(you need aether lens for better positioning so you dont get focused) - always contest the lotus pool (lotus spawn every 3 minutes btw) - ask your mid to help gank the lane( you want to make the lane push near your towers so your lina has better positioning to stun bristle. - tell your carry to go heroes that can harass from afar ( drow is the best one here bc of the slows and then sniper or lina) On a diff note: you didn't buy wards. There are two diff type :sentry and observer Sentry: allows you to block neutral creeps camp so the enemy cannot freeze the lane or make the lane go nearer to their towers, also gives true vision so you can see invisible enemies and observerward from the enemy team for you to destroy Observer ward: provide vision/ increased vision when placed on hills or cliff ( allow you to scout out enemy location, what kind of objective are they aiming for ( roshan, killing tormentors, killing their neutral creep stacks)
@@Galaxy-Gorilla you don't have to heal them in fight. I was talking more about as a support pugna coz I'm a support player lol. Always healing my carry. Tranquil boots for support pugna is OP.
items that counters Bristleback are silver edge and spirit vessel, as for heroes i can only think of legion commander and slardar and maybe more but they are the main counters
@@Galaxy-Gorilla Viper and pa after shard are good counters (because of break) and in general high armor/agility heroes do well too (because quill spray is flat damage and is reliant on the minus armor from viscous nasal goo)
As Pugna you are literally a dispenser, u can suck your mate to heal him , then suck a creep and go back to sucking ennemies, it's OP. When u suck a mate with full hp you will actually regen his mana ! U should go for aether lens Agh + shard, it's pretty strong. With shard you can target your ward to suck ennemies in a AOE around the ward, situational but pretty good if u have a combo that lock on place ennemies in an AOE (mars , void, etc ...)
Alright, I’ll have to keep that in mind. Lol, some times the fear overrides and I end up looking out more for myself. I’ll see if I can pick it up more on next match!
Dont know if you play mid but depending on the lane, consider a mid pugna. Looks like their mid may of been the sniper and decrep eould of been nice and annoying for him.
I’m always a little worried to go mid, I know it’s pretty important in Dota. I’ve got out of the game for a while so I’m gonna try and play more often, if I’m feeling more confident in my Pugna I’ll give it a go!
@@Galaxy-Gorilla mid isn't necessarily difficult, it's kinda dependent. Remember mid is a 1v1 for the most part but it is a great position to learn a lot of key how should I say. Aspects? Things like warding, pulling creep agro, map awareness. You can also focus more on your own mechanics or learning when your heroes timings are. Thing about Dota is every lane is important, a lost mid lane is still ok if safe and offline was won, same goes for those two lanes, the only thing that changes is which heroes are making space/moves. Today's Dota map has so many jungle creeps, any deficit should be able to beade up, which is when planning and strat come in. If you do play mid and it goes well the only thing to remember is it's now your job to move around the map and make plays. Use your early level lead on the other lanes. Hmu if ya keen to party up and good luck to ya😊😊

Is that an item or one of the side trinkets?

- try using your first move to last hit creeps that is out of your carry range
- harass using m1 ( you don't want the bristleback to have their own 20 wand charges cuz then he can sustain in lane so easily)
- usually want to push the lane so you can spam your 1st move on the tower since it does huge amount of the dmg to towers( yes some moves can deal dmg to tower)
- If you see bristleback is still a main threat then i recommend rushing spirit vessel after aether lens(you need aether lens for better positioning so you dont get focused)
- always contest the lotus pool (lotus spawn every 3 minutes btw)
- ask your mid to help gank the lane( you want to make the lane push near your towers so your lina has better positioning to stun bristle.

That's a lot of helpful information! I'll do my best to apply it to future games!
If you like pugna, always buy tranquil boots. That way you can heal your teammates with your ultimate anytime without affecting you.
The ult heal is nice, it just feels hard to use seeing as I get focused. So losing even more hp, it can be hard to survive ya know?
Not needed, you can literally suck a creep and get back to sucking a mate or an ennemy, go for mana as u are only limited by.
