When you were talking about cell’s assists, you forgot to mention his INVINCIBLE C ASSIST; only head invulnerability but still incredibly good, fast and worth talking about imo.
Also, if you ever do a cell arc PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, AT LEAST TRY CELL C at least once, it is a true anti-air assist that is super fast and has easy combo confirms and is very good at extending combos when you are super high up because of the angle it hits at.
Frieza A is an amazing smokescreen assist that an enable crazy mix and has strong synergy with teleports because of its ability to go full screen. You can also use it to do tons of other things that you just would not be able to do with a regular assist, the only and biggest downside is that it is incredibly hard to use to do anything. It can do many things but it is the hardest assist in the entire game, it also pretty much complements specific play styles (mostly rush-down and mix-up).
Hit B is fine too, it is just waaaay more niche than his A or C assists his B complements lariats; now let me explain where hit B would be better than the other two: an example of when hit B would be better is if you did bardock’s L/H lariat and called hit B slightly after, you would get a full screen frametrap/mix-up from Hit B. Hit B also has the best blockstun out of all of his assists meaning you can continue your pressure safely. Or if you want fullscreen confirms (Zoner synergy) you would get a wallbounce faster than Gogeta Blue A and Hit B hits full screen faster than Gogeta A.
Expanding on the character guides you have planned. I think it would be neat if you did the guides in order from your previous list on character difficulty. That way new players can get the jump on characters like ssj goku and vegeta

It def comes down to w/ L chop u can assist w/ it for no bar, and when it’s time to orb, or dump more meter, for hell zone, bust out the heavy chop. Him and yamcha the same guy kinda. Except I’ve gotten wacked every time for lariat cancel w/ picc

Great video! I'm looking to get into DBFZ more intentionally and this was great at explaining team building. However, now that there's a newer patch out I was wondering if you'd update this list? If so I'd suggest breaking out the "Flexible" tier into 4 separate tiers: "Point-Mid," "Mid-Anchor," "Anchor-Point," and "Any/All." Thanks!
I think 16 is actually best on mid due to liking assists for some of his routes and the oppertunity cost of there just being better anchors in the game
After so long. I finally decided my team. Or.. so far. But I like it now. It looks like a solid team. Bardock or Android 17 as point. Broly (non saiyan) as mid. Beerus as anchor. I like how Android 17 has great mobility and also can build a solid amount of meter. I saw a 2 1/2 combo and not sure if it can go higher. He can get technical with his mobility. Bardock can catch you buy surprise and can hit you at any time with his clothesline. I saw meter build from him at like 2. Not sure if more. But he can also switch sides. Broly is Broly. That destructive dude always has a place in my heart. Beerus looks cool to have around with his technical game with balls.
To note for Kid Buu, arm ball is pretty easy to use out right then call an assist so I recommend using B/C assist. Also I think Moldy Bagel has an old video showcasing how Kid Buu has an answer for EVERY game scenario. USERS BEWARE HIS NEUTRAL!
WRT SSGSS Vegeta Assist B is actually really good for landing double supers with many characters. It times itself perfectly if you call right before Super start-up and has a lot of hit-stun on it so you can land some wacky follow-ups. My favorite thing to do is call it in the corner after I land a 236H with Blue Gogeta- Gogeta uncorners his opponent for the last hit, but calling Blugeta Assist B during the sideswitch will knock them back over Gogeta into the corner and Gogegat can do 236S+9 (galick gun clone) to knock them back down into the corner for more follow-ups.
Dont forget that tein can now command chaotsu to not prank you with the b assist instead of having to remember what count you're on with the telekinesis calls and assist calls mid game. I think it's one of the most overlooked and under mentioned changes from the last patch
I still find it funny how they buffed Base Goku's damage through the roof but didn't make it easier to actually getting a hit through the lack of 2m buffs. Can't believe I'll have to go back to my old ways of raw kaioken and then getting rage quits.
I play team DBS: Broly because I loved that movie SO MUCH, and it's super cool to know that you would put them in the same order I do! Gogeta Blue, S.Broly, Frieza. Try it out sometime, they're amazing together!
I play brollyz point my game plan is get the hit and 1 bar and drop agohan. Janemba a assist covers all the blind spots in both their neutrals too. I love the team, all 3 brollyz assists seem good to me

I used Ginyu B assist with some randos on online Boss Raid (Broly (Super)’s), not only was the meter gain insane when they called me but Guldo’s paralysis saved their skin twice. I’m sure it was by complete accident but it was great to see. It was fun to see, and one of the randos got comfortable with my assist and did some SICK SHIT (they were Broly (Z))
I played DBFZ during launch and kinda fell off from the online being not great, so it's good to know that when Rollback comes out, my old setup of 18>21>16 will still be totally viable
Personally I have a team consisting of adult gohan, cell, and beerus. I'm pretty much just learning how to play the game, but I'm already pretty good. This team is pretty fun to play as.

before rollback got announced i actually used videl/s broly/blue vageta (videl as point) and saw decent success, i dont really remember videl being seen as an anchor character at all but your explanation makes sense. Im thinking maybe i should swap the order so videl is anchor and blue vageta is point but s broly really likes big bang attack assist. maybe broly point with blue vageta mid is better?

I've been trying to get any information about the characters in this game or how composition works, but almost every single guide, video, or discussion board just says to either pick your favorite characters or calls everyone either a Goku or a Bardock. Like, that doesn't help at all. Now thanks to this video, I have a team variation or two I want to try out as well as a gameplan for that team.

Hey, i'd like some guidance with my team crisis i'm having rn, so basically i've mained Bardock my whole game time, and rn my team comp is Bardock, Gogeta 4, and Janemba, but i feel like it's a bit redundant comp since i have two point characters, and by that i'm not optimizing all the opportunities i would have as Gogeta on point for example, i'm very comfortable with Bardock but i think i'm getting a bit bored with him, and also got a mess with assists, so do you think i should pick a new character for the mid position and make a good comp, or just re-arrange the team i have rn in a new order with new assits? if its the first option i would like to play Super Broly, what do you think?
If you want my recommendation, I think dropping Bardock is a good idea, especially if you're bored with him. In that case, Gogeta Blue (A) Point, S-Broly (B) Mid, and Janemba (B) Anchor. That combo of assists from Broly and Janemba will help strengthen Gogeta's neutral by providing him with a great combo of Ki blast/Lariat assists, and they both cover different angles (Broly Anti-Air and above-diagonal, Janemba full screen forward, blockstring pressure/hit-confirm combo potential) This comp, like the video said, will also help Broly get to 3 meter so he can use his Super install as fast as possible, which should also be a priority for this comp. Imma have to disagree with bluku on point cause he be an anchor or mid too. He has tools to open people up with his command grab at 17 frames. Over head in his autocombo blockstrings. And 3 lows in block strings Jumping ki blast that he can use to make himself plus in neutral. New lvl 3 buff so he can use when beings sd at in the air. Big damage good meter build and a lvl 5.

I'm new to the game and the channel. I was wondering how important sticking to this formula is. I love using majin buu z broly and tien but that gives me two anchors. I still suck and I don't plan on playing tournaments or anything just against my friends. Is this a bad team? Should I swap one out for a point or is it not that important? Very helpful video btw!

Technically you can play anyone, but these suggestions are just to give you an idea of how team building usually works in this game! For your Team I'd put buu on point, Broly and the middle and Tien at the end! Would still work well with that order!
Month later but make your team Vegito Point, Broly Mid, and A. Gohan anchor. If you want to replace vegito do a point character that builds a ton of meter like Gotenks, SSJ Vegeta, etx
I'm running Gogeta Blue C/UI Goku B/Janemba A, but I feel like maybe Ultimate Gohan could spice things up. The damage is better with the UI Goku beam assist for a combo I have going, but it's a very marginal and slim difference.
she's dangerous with even just half a bar. Her weakness is that she doesn't build the bar needed to kill in a lot of situations. However her offense is so strong that most people dont mind.
@@MisterAcolyte that makes sense. Whenever I think of LC offense I mainly remember EX spin, idr how much the nerfs effected her spin pressure but even if they hurt it a lot, she still has the most lows. Thx for the reply!
they definitely can since technically her A assist is great for his combos! But it would be a bit tough since neither will build much meter and her A assist is ki blast property!

Fun Fact: Roshi can actually stay in the air quite literally forever by alternating 2H/2S

I play videl point gogeta blue mid and base goku anchor.
I used to play gogeta blue point but the meter nerf is so tough.
Tien point with Gogeta mid and Goku Black as anchor is my go to. Gotta love switching it up

Gogeta Blue C-Assist tracks anywhere on the screen. I recommend using only 1 C-Assist, that would be it.

no, as long as there is synergy, that can still work!
I'm running Gogeta Blue C/UI Goku B/Janemba A, but I feel like maybe Ultimate Gohan could spice things up. The damage is better with the UI Goku beam assist for a combo I have going, but it's a very marginal and slim difference.

He is not a point character. He is best at Mid.

If you could put a number on the minimum amount of bar, how much bar does Lab Coat need?
she's dangerous with even just half a bar. Her weakness is that she doesn't build the bar needed to kill in a lot of situations. However her offense is so strong that most people dont mind.
@@MisterAcolyte that makes sense. Whenever I think of LC offense I mainly remember EX spin, idr how much the nerfs effected her spin pressure but even if they hurt it a lot, she still has the most lows. Thx for the reply!

they definitely can since technically her A assist is great for his combos! But it would be a bit tough since neither will build much meter and her A assist is ki blast property!
