Yes. Have done so several times and will happily do it again. I work as a freelance tour leader, so I often fly charter. You should try Sunclass Airlines. They are probably the best charter Airline I have flown.
I worked for more than 2 years for Tui Netherlands customer support. To be honest, I must say that there were a lot of possibilities in helping people when they requested something. Having worked for different customer support services for different companies, you could be very creative in helping the customer. In other airlines I heard that when you called them, there were often problems in the beaurocracy that would fight you. With TUI Netherlands at least, I never experienced this a lot.
Flown TUI a fair few times, mainly from UK to Tenerife. Never had a problem and staff are great and very helpful ( happiness tip : fly on Christmas Day).
Not to mention, you also get two different IFE Screen, on the last row. So you can watch 2 different movies at the same time, or put movie on one screen, flight tracking on the other.
@@JoshCahillwhen I was in Sal 2 years ago the people were lovely, must be because I’m the one (along with other tourists) paying their wages, but in Praia there are way less tourists
TUI's transatlantic charter offering to MLB (FL) USA from the UK is full service (meals, drinks and crappy ear buds, blanket), it's easily comparable to any scheduled economy transatlantic carrier. It's my preferred way to get across the pond to Florida as I can do it in one leg, no transfers through the hell that is LHR or CDG. Only drawback is that it only operates May-Oct but I've done a late booking including luggage for £300 pp outside of school holidays. They are what they are but no worse than BA economy.
i agree, they let the wine flow freely which is the main thing, just the young families and infrequent fliers which can slow down the experience boarding and kids climbing over the place
Flown many times on the TUI Dreamliners long haul to Mexico and Jamaica. You do get meals and free drinks as part of the package on LH. The food is pretty good with the exception of breakfast on a return flight. They have a premium cabin which is nice but a bit expensive for what you get.
@@robertaries2974 The main meal was ok but they only served it 2 hours into the flight. the breakfast was really poor and just penny pinching. A muffin and a power bar is fine if you love suger.
I flew TUI Netherlands to the Caribean a couple of times with the dreamliner. They offered full service and the only thing you had to pay for was the luggage. In terms of price-quality not worse then a full carrier like KLM.
ATR aircraft have a high wing position, which can make landings more challenging due to increased ground effect. Additionally, windy conditions can amplify this effect, leading to less stable landings.
Never worried about the landing on an ATR, always been pleasant and one of my favourite aircraft’s. Especially take off in an ATR is much more fun than a standard jet.
I've never had a bad flight with TUI, flew through their Britannia, Thomson & TUI guises - they have quite a lot of wet lease aircraft during the summer season, so had a few good flights on leased aircraft too, I'm glad you've covered them and given them a positive review
I'm a frequent-flyer with Tui. I find the airline reliable, the staff pleasant, and the service-offering perfectly fine. On the one occasion my flight was seriously delayed, £350 of UK261 compensation was in my bank-account within a week. I've upgraded to the premium-cabin in a Tui Dreamliner before, and that was great VFM. Boa Vista? Give it a miss and go to Mauritius instead. Good video.
If my partner and I fly TUI Dreamers, we always travel upfront in the premium economy cabin. The fare is quite a bit higher, but we get 'free' meals and unlimited drinks (alcohol and non-alcohol) as well as priority boarding and disembarking. For a flight to the Caribbean, the extra money is definitely worth it. Thanks for this video, really looking forward to the next one.
Bloody Hell Josh. Don’t do that. I was more than worried that you’d miss your flight to Gatwick. That was to close for comfort. Welcome to the U.K. and you are welcomed to it😅. Hope your next trip goes well. All the best Mick🇬🇧

Did 2 tui holidays to majorca and greece and they are brilliant yes a bit more expensive but the service u get from start to finish is better than everyone
It's weird how sometimes check-in is super slow, like 15 minutes per person. It happened twice to me recently, in Athens with Aegean (in a special / express lane) and in Zurich with Swiss (in a Business Class lane for passengers who already have a boarding pass).
I flew on Nigeria Airways in the late 70’s. The internal flight from Kano to Sokoto was terrifying. We almost flipped over on takeoff. I don’t know how you take these risks on some of these airlines. I appreciate your bravery and also reminding me how terrible some of these African airlines are.
Hey Josh, nice to see a video review of a UK based holiday airline. They are all very good but as you say mainly buy on board. My personal favorite airline to fly is Jet2 again they take the low cost outlook but very good, sad the 757s have just been/ in progress of been replaced by the A321Neo however.
Jet2 is an exceptional airline. Strangely, it's the quality of the ground-operation that is the airline's USP. The way they handle flight-delays abroad is masterful.
Flew premium Gatwick to Cancun and it beat most of the scheduled airlines I have flown with! All food and drink was of a very high standard and comlimentary.
Before I watch the video, I've flown TUI (both as TUI and the previous Thomson's) on short haul several times. I've never had a problem with them. Though I'd say Jet2 is the best UK charter airline. The measure of a good airline is how they cope when things go wrong. Jet2 are fantastic in that regard. I also like how you can pre-book hot meals with them, and the cabin crew are awesome.
As far as Global goes, the A380 seems like a crazy choice for a startup, but if they can make it work then good for them. All they need are the right routes and enough bums on seats to cover the cost of operating such a large aircraft, otherwise it’s going to be a very short flight for this startup!
I flew with TUI last May to Italy on a 737. Very positive experience both ways. On time, great crew. Travelling with them next week to Egypt. Can’t say I’m looking forward to almost six hours in a 737 though…..
Fun fact - TUI is minority owned by Alexei Mordashov, the most sanctioned Russian Billionaire because of the war. In the middle of the pandemic when TUI was nearly bankrupt he pumped an additional € billion into the place to keep it afloat, pretty much as it was the right thing to do.
Josh, please mention that due, to constructiond, ALL 787s have a seat, 2 or 3😅 rows in front of rear bulkhead that do NOT have a window. On Vistara, th at is row 57.
Cape Verde is not classed as long haul which is why food is not included, you're lucky to get in flight entertainment as TUI used to use their 737s and 757s on this route, I think they still use 737s on some flights to Cape Verde, I think the runway has only fairly recently been lengthened to cope with lager aircraft. As for rowdy passengers, to be fair it's not really going to be a thing on Cape Verde flights as it's not that sort of destination, flights to Cancun and some of the Mediterranean party resorts can be a little noisy but TUI is more geared to families so the more rowdy people would probably use Easy Jet or Ryan Air.
Oh yeah I definitely would fly TUI - been with them several times. They're pretty decent for a package holiday flight. Reliable, gets you there. Fairly new aircraft...
I was in Cabo Verde a few years ago and everyone was pretty nice and I've not seen so many good looking people anywhere else lol. I did fly on their airline with some small plane, happened to have the same pilot on two different trips between islands and the 2nd time he was just showing me all the buttons and stuff, very friendly. No stress, as they say
you don't actually have to pay for the headphones because they give them to you for free on the first journey and they expect you to keep them for the way back
nothing wrong with TUI, we have flown on the Dreamliner to the Caribbean three times, the first time we managed to book the two seats at the back, it was brilliant not having anyone next to us on a 8 hour flight, the second time it was a different Dreamliner andit had three seats in the back and the guy who was next to me was huge, he obviously felt uncomfortable also but we were good friends at the end of the flight, lol. Third time we booked Premium Economy and it was well worth the extra cost, metal cutlery, real crockery, free access to the best lounge etc. I have always found the crew to be amazing. To be honest, after watching some of the flights that you and others have been on, I think TUI is one of the best for a charter airline. First time I have seen a well know You Tuber review them, maybe it is worth trying out their Premium Economy, great Vlog, thank you Josh
Try tui from Cabo Verde to Germany. It’s a disaster with nearly no service and no inflight entertainment neither screens in front of you. So tui to GB is the way better deal.
Cabo Verde is one of the nicest countries I've ever visited, and the people are lovely. Brits, on the other hand, don't get along even amongst themselves... P.s. you have Transavia direct flights to Paris and TAP flights to Lisbon from Paria, Sal and São Vicente
I think you should do a review on the premium seat of tui, you get some great extra bits with it like lounge access and fast track security and if you can get it half price at check in!!! It can be a right bargain i have done this a few times.
Hi Josh, I don't know whether you know this, but during apartheid, SAA was not allowed to fly over Africa, so flying to Europe, they had to refuel on Sal Island. Keep the videos coming. Cheers (from Oz)
Oh no! Not Air Emotional Damage again! Air Global reminds me of California Pacific who tried to copy PSA using E145s and E170s, or New Pacific. Had a gimmick but it didn't work. As a former SkyWest person, I don't think boarding at the rear and having the cargo compartment up front is very efficient considering baggage and passengers board at the same side, and most airports are intended to board from the left/front. Similar to instances where planes board from the right.
I flew TUI from Manchester to Punta Cana in July 2023 and had headphones provided? Haven't flown them since so idk if they changed their policy but I'm surprised you didn't get any
The Belgian division of TUI is more close to lower cost scheduled flying, so the website of TUI in Belgium is rather different (with more emphasis on flights than package holidays) They still mostly fly holiday flights but they also fly to mainstream routes such as Casablanca, and Algiers. (TUI used to own a Moroccan low cost airline named Jet4you that got merged to TUI Belgium) Casablanca also hosts a TUI Belgium base, which flies to a few cities in Europe, including the flight to Brussels. Also while it is a holiday line, on long haul meals and drinks are meant to be complementary. Confuses me as to how this isnt classed as Long Haul tho
Weirdly I had never thought about the fact that a propellor-driven aircraft can actually reverse itself out of the gate! I had never seen it happen, but at 7:25 there it is!
Yeah, they are versatile little things. You just reverse the props. Probably means the pilots will know not to accidentally feather the props on long final 🙄

I have flown ATR 72 lot's of times over the years, in both Europe and places like Laos, Vietnam, Cape Verde and Brazil. I am so used to them that I don't really pay attention to their bumpy landings any longer. But I agree that they probably are a little bumpier than most other planes.

With all the hundreds of comments you get you may not even get to see my comment. But in case, i liked the background music...could you tell me who is the band playing if you should know...thanks.
Seeing as London isn't exactly a holiday destination, I guess most passengers were returning from holiday, and hence not as excited or rowdy. Lol

Very often you're on a 737 to cape Verde, not very pleasant and they run out of food and drink as limited supply in cape Verde, catering wise.
I have flown ATR 72 lot's of times over the years, in both Europe and places like Laos, Vietnam, Cape Verde and Brazil. I am so used to them that I don't really pay attention to their bumpy landings any longer. But I agree that they probably are a little bumpier than most other planes.
I think it’s the crazy flaps that basically turn your wing into a giant bucket. They are designed for a short runway landing.
