There must at least be 100 videos of this on UA-cam, I always would call BS but dang it works, 4 minutes, cut squeeze, and eat.

Love your kitchen. Great trick about cooking corn on the cob in the microwave. I just did this for the first time today. I rinsed the whole cob then cooked it for 3.5 minutes. It turned out great. My Uncle Bob was a dairy farmer in Wisconsin. We used to go out into the fields and eat the corn right off the stalks. So good.

My husband and I both grew up on a farm. Each summer we'd put up sweet corn in quart bags and freeze to enjoy throughout the year. We had quite a system and made it a family affair. Everyone had a job to do from picking to shucking and sulking, to boiling and cooling, and bagging. One year we had family in from put of state while we were in the middle of this project. (We thought everyone knew when the corn was ready we couldn't delay. We had to make a full day of it.) Well, these relatives were "city folks" and not "country folks" like us. We got ticketed when our city folk relatives asked, "Now, why are you doing this? For the hard times of winter?" No! We did it because home grown sweet corn is soooo good and worth all the trouble! My husband and I will celebrate 36 years of marriage this summer and our son and daughter look forward to this labor of love. We also are looking forward to our granddaughter enjoying her first ear of sweet corn this summer. She's almost 8 months old and has 4 teeth!

My cousin and her husband have been married almost 50 years. They’ve put out a large garden every year without fail. She freezes her corn and cans the green beans. We just finally got a decent harvest of sweet corn this year 🙄😆. Previous plantings have failed due to a variety of reasons..,the most memorable being an invasion of raccoons 🙄🤨, who ate ALL OF THE CORN except for ONE ear. It all makes this years cot taste that much better!!☺️

This the easiest and best way to cook fresh corn! So much better than having to shuck it, making sure you have all the silk off, then boiling a big pot of water and boiling the corn. Then you have a big pot to wash. Who wants that!

I have been cutting the ends off before I microwave it, and it works really well. I take off all but a few shucks but leave the silks and they just fall off. We just eat it right off the cob and it is delicious. I am going to try it like you did it though, cooking the whole thing. It looks easier. Thanks for sharing.

Oh my goodness Mrs. Annie. I'm going to have to do that when I make my corn salsa. I absolutely despise fighting with the husk and silk. Thank you for sharing. Y'all have a great day and week. Tell Mr Darryl we said hello as well. Miss y'all. ☺️

In Martincraig4's video 9 yrs ago he just cut the end off after microwaving it, grabbed the silk at the top and the cob just fell out of the husk. Neat!🌽

You don't have to do all that work! After cutting the end off grab the top and hold it an shake it the corn will fall right out.

I’ve tried this method 3 times now and the cob doesn’t slip out of the husk no matter how hard I squeeze from the top. I cut at least 1/2” off stem end. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. Have watched other videos and everyone shows cob sliding out. The somewhat good news is that as I peel off the husk MOST of the silk comes off.

If you take a few leaves off before you microwave the corn, it comes out easier when you squeeze it in the end.

You will laugh at me. I was afraid the first time my friend told me to do this, that the silk would burn in the microwave. Catch fire. 🤦‍♀️🤣🤣🤣 I live in Tennessee. Got many well bless your hearts.🙄😂
