My visa process took about 2 months because I had 2 interviews. I was denied on my first attempt in October 2023 and I got approved in November 2023. I didn’t have to wait so long for dates because I was constantly checking for available dates that’s why I was able to obtain 2 different appointments in the shortest possible time. No you don’t need to pay for every transit because the price of every transit , is already included in the initial purchased ticket unless you decide to change your final destination let’s say on you next transit, then an additional payment may be required. I hope this answers your question

Yes all currencies should be in dollars because it will be difficult to exchange the local currency into dollars here and even if you get the chance to do that , the rate might not Favour you also I can’t specifically give you an amount you need to bring with you. My best advice is for you to bring every penny you think might be necessary to you or come along with the estimated living expenses on your I 20 if you are an international student.

I haven’t seen any airline with a straight flight from Ghana to the USA yet however airlines like delta airline and American Airline provide shorter transits for those kind of trips. You can get at least 1 transit depending on your final destination but usually not more than 2 transits with those airlines. I hope this answers your question

In the video, you are holding your travel documents, shouldn't it be in your bag or you will show it through all your transit

Thanks for this question because it’s a good one. The answer YES answers both questions because ,Your traveling documents such as passport, i20 , boarding pass , vaccination records….etc , should always be in your carry on bag and not in your checked luggage because you will frequently take that out for immigration checks and connecting flight Check-ins. In this video I was constantly holding it because I had 1 home departure flight and 2 connecting flights therefore I had 3 flights in total.
