Preferably the one against Washington. The level of physicality of that team was unlike anything college football has ever seen. Even 1995 Nebraska, who was certainly a physically stronger team, didn’t have NFL level physicality, which is more than just strength. Miami had insane strength, speed, football IQ, and most importantly, a massive chip on their shoulder. Their play style was also closer to NFL play styles in the demanding level of athleticism and tactics. I do think they would have at least been competitive against NFL teams of the time. Keep in mind - and this is honestly the main reason I became a Miami fan in the first place - what makes the 2001 Miami team so unique isn’t just NFL talent, it’s the fact that the team basically won by themselves. Larry Coker was a first year coach at Miami and never found much success elsewhere. Randy Shannon was the defensive coordinator and he ended up being a horrible coach for Miami. That team didn’t need to be coached; they coached themselves to victory. Even the best Alabama teams of the past two decades can’t say that. Alabama is Nick Saban; without him they’d only be a decent SEC program like before 2009. 2001 Miami won through sheer talent, willpower, and knowledge of the game, and I do think they could have kept up and possibly beaten an NFL team.

‘95 Nebraska is the greatest Team of all time. Their LOWEST victory was 14 points. Miami BARELY squeaked by Virginia Tech and Boston College, I think 95 Nebraska would beat the 01 Canes. Miami Would Not Be able to stop that Nebraska Run game. However this would be the toughest team Nebraska ever played. It’d be their closest game too. But Nebraska is winning it.

No one dimensional team beats that Miami team. Frazier was not going to beat anyone with his arm and you weren’t going to manhandle that Miami front 7. Never mind the fact that Miamis speed on O would have been a nightmare for NU to deal with. People were hyping up the 2001 Huskers as one of the better NU teams, and they got demolished. 94 was a different beast, but as we’ve seen time and time again, Miami is usually too athletic for Nebraska.
