I’ve watched a lot of CFB and I can honestly say 2001 Miami was unstoppable- PERIOD! That team was the best of all-time. We’ll likely never see another group of players like that again
So let me get this straight.. so uncle Shannon brings up a roster full of nfl and hall of fame talent. N u bring up.. one player?!?! Zeke! Skip u need your blood checked
Even better, the 1 player he brought up (Jones) started 3 games!!!! That's after trashing Dorsey who was a Heisman finalist twice and only lost 2 games in 3 years. Anyone who watched college football back then knew that Ken Dorsey was a very good college qb.
This is one of the most biased arguments I've ever heard Skip try to pull off! He picked Ohio St. solely because Zeke is a Cowboy now. He told Shannon his argument is disqualified because Miami had Ken Dorsey as QB, but then said Ohio St. had Cardell Jones at QB. Really Skiiuup???
“With KEN DORSEY at quarterback?? Ken Dorsey only lost 2 games in his entire career as a starting QB in college. And was runner up for the Heisman in 2001 and 2002. Cardale Jones over Ken Dorsey??? Jones lost his job the next year. If Ken Dorsey finds another year of college eligibility in a cereal box tomorrow morning he’d be in the Canes huddle that afternoon at the age of 39. Co-MVP of the Rose Bowl with Andre Johnson that year. Ken Dorsey was a First Team All-American in 2002, 2 time Archie Griffin Award winner (college football’s other MVP trophy), a Maxwell Award winner (given to the best all around player in college football every year), and a 2 time Chic Harley Award winner (another award to the best all around player in college every year). Dorsey was a Heisman runner up to Eric Crouch in 2001. The very same Eric Crouch that was completely shut down and demolished by Dorsey and the Canes in the national title game that year. And he was runner up to Carson Palmer in 2002. Palmer, undoubtedly the better pro career. But the 2002 Trojans went 10-2 and beat Iowa in the Rose Bowl to finish 4th. The 2002 Canes, led by Dorsey, were a horrible pass interference call in the end zone of an overtime game against Ohio State away from back to back championships and undefeated seasons. At the end of the day, Carson Palmer lost the same amount of games in his 2002 Heisman winning season (2) as Dorsey lost in his entire career as a starter. 38-2 speaks for itself. And again, if it wasn’t for the BCS computers keeping Miami out of the national championship game in favor of Florida State (who Miami beat that year) and a horrible call in the 2002 title game, Ken Dorsey wins 3 straight national championships at Miami and finishes 39-1. He’s a legitimate college QB GOAT and far greater than Miami’s two Heisman winners Vinny Testaverde and Gino Torretta.
As a Florida State fan, i hate to say this but that 2001 The U team is the GREATEST TEAM ever in college football. Top to Bottom literally. OMG! Its ridiculous to have that much talent on 1 team as starters and backups.
LeominsterFC yea bt it’s really important to put the scale of how dominant that team was in context. It’s laughable when skip tries to argue the Ohio state team with zeke.
1.) 2001 Hurricanes 2.) 2002 Hurricanes (B.S. pass interference call aside) 3.) 2014 Ohio State 4.) 2008 Florida 5.) 2013 Florida State 6.) 2009 Alabama 7.) 2005 Texas 8.) 2004/2005 USC 9.) 2010 Auburn 10.) 2012 Alabama I might not agree with this after a day or 2 and I may be forgetting some teams but this was my top 10 off the top of my head

rico .warren as a skins fan I loved CP but idk if he’s a HOF player. Very good but not HOF. His best years was the first two years in Denver under the Mike Shanahan stretch run system. The one where any running back could have a thousand yard season. If he had more season like that when he played for DC he would be a definite HOF.
dorsey won team mvp on a team with willis mcghee, frank gore, andre johnson, sean taylor, ed reed, jonathan vilma, roscoe parish, clinton portis, tom sievers, bryant mckinnie, vince wilfork, d.j. williams, andre williams, phillip buchanon, antrell rolle, jeremy shockey, kellen winslow II jerome mcdougle and many more nfl level players.
Skip talking about Dorsey like he didn't win the Maxwell Award and a couple other awards in 2001. Let alone he finished 3rd in the Heisman race. Skip has to do a little bit more research lol.
Buchanon returned punts too, he was dope.... That defence is GOAT they averaged 10 points against, and 4 turnovers. They probably would've been a .500 Team if the offence didn't score a single point that year LOL.
So was rascoe Parrish, Mike Rumph and Vernon Carey.. team was absolutely stacked there really is no comparison... even some of the lesser known players that made it to the league like najah Davenport.. the list goes on
Even when the subject isn't the Cowboys, Skip always manages to find a way to bring it back to them. I guarantee you, that if Zeke played for someone else, he wouldn't have brought him up.
OfficialJumpman24 Wat a run option team against a balanced attack with Future all pros on both side of the ball. Miami would've mopped the floor against them like they did Switzers OU teams of the 80s. Remember OU was 33-0 against everyone between 85-88. And 0-3 against Jimmy Johnson's Canes during the same period.
Ken Dorsey was sacked like 3 times in 21 games... o line with a hof caliber backfield (portis, gore, maghee, davenport).with 2 or 3 hof ca relievers every year of his career (Wayne, moss, Johnson, Shockey, Williams jr.) ... qb doesn't matter... this is a team where if you take away every offensive score they'd still go 8-4 just off defensive and special teams scores...
I can give benefit of the doubt in some arguments, but anyone who can say that the 2001 Miami Hurricanes wasn't the best team of that era is just flat out lying to themselves and anyone that heard it. Go get whatever college team you want and they would get pounded. Get an all star team and they'll at least have a close game with them.
01 Canes had a juggernaut of a squad. Their 3rd string players were better and had more talent than most starting lineups at any school. And I'm a Bama fan.
The yr Tebow's Gators won the championship isn't it the yr USC lost that one game, cause I heard on a podcast if they had made the champ game Vegas had them as the favs, that USC team had a great D full of speed, I believe they would of beat those Gators.
ksolo614 OSU got a terrible call 2 win that game. Not 2 mention Mcghee graphic knee injury. Ed Reed,Shockley, Portis and a few more was already gone 2 the league 2 dominant
Osu got robbed all game with one sided officiating. And Miami did grab the receiver. But the "best team ever" should not be in a game verse a team the beat Purdue on a hail mary.

So let me get this straight.. so uncle Shannon brings up a roster full of nfl and hall of fame talent. N u bring up.. one player?!?! Zeke! Skip u need your blood checked
tony latrell he's an idiot. I do think that OSU team is really good but not all because of Zeke.
Elias Woolfolk II I agree skip need to reup his meds
Even better, the 1 player he brought up (Jones) started 3 games!!!! That's after trashing Dorsey who was a Heisman finalist twice and only lost 2 games in 3 years. Anyone who watched college football back then knew that Ken Dorsey was a very good college qb.
Michael Robinson thank u sir
Jimi Hendrix Jr. thank u sir
Then Miami had Sean Taylor and Ed Reed along with Santana Moss and reggie Wayne
Too Fast Check out my channel? God bless ua-cam.com/video/qdKHJ6WZ_F4/v-deo.html
They weren't on that team. Aside from Andre Johnson they had Daryl Jones, Kevin Beard, and Roscoe Parrish.
Too Fast its really too many greats to nam stg bruh its not competition miami would beat anybody
Derek Deford ed reed was on that team Sean Taylor was on special teams
Mayneeeeeee
Miami Hurricanes 2001 Best team "ever" No discussion needed PERIOD.
2019 LSU
There is no way the 2001 Miami hurricanes lose to any team in college football history. They are the greatest college football team ever assembled.
As a fan of the U, this clip touches my soul
This is one of the most biased arguments I've ever heard Skip try to pull off! He picked Ohio St. solely because Zeke is a Cowboy now. He told Shannon his argument is disqualified because Miami had Ken Dorsey as QB, but then said Ohio St. had Cardell Jones at QB. Really Skiiuup???
He’s delusional
The worse part is that 15 OSU team wasn't even the best OSU team. 2002 OSU was better
Ken Dorsey actually had a good college career.
MikeBNumba6 2002 shouldn’t have won but sadly they did
@@PetesTake yeah we should have won and we did win
are they serious? The U was ridiculous in the early 2000s. Them tim tebow led gators would get swallowed by miami’s defense🤦🏾♂️
Travis Bivins Check out my channel? God bless ua-cam.com/video/qdKHJ6WZ_F4/v-deo.html
Michael Ross 😂 I see what you did
Tebow would have cried
Facts!!!
Travis Bivins stop a buckeyes team which was good not great beat that 02 miami team..
Skip really brought up that the quarterback makes Shannon’s argument invalid and then brings up Zeke.... tf is this man smoking
Sean Taylor Vince wilfork Devin Hester antrell rolle Willis mcgahee Kellen Winslow jr Frank gore where on the bench for the 01 squad
Ridiculous
01 Canes! That team was out of this world type of special!
Travis Blair Check out my channel? God bless ua-cam.com/video/qdKHJ6WZ_F4/v-deo.html
Don't forget USC TOO both are my favorite teams 👍
He’s right Alabama qbs never make it to the league😭

Derek Deford dude stop. Every damn comment, come on bro find something better to do
CoolerKing37 facts lol
AJ will start in buffalo
Mark that's about to change now.
Miami all day on this one...
Ken Dorsey was 38-2 in college, offensive player of the year in 2001 and 2002 lol Chill skip
Skip is so wrong.....! It's laughable.
As a Florida State fan, i hate to say this but that 2001 The U team is the GREATEST TEAM ever in college football. Top to Bottom literally. OMG! Its ridiculous to have that much talent on 1 team as starters and backups.
U forgot about ed reed shawn Taylor!! I’m with Shannon not even close
tony latrell I don’t think he forgot I think they’re just assuming everyone knows they were on that team.
LeominsterFC yea bt it’s really important to put the scale of how dominant that team was in context. It’s laughable when skip tries to argue the Ohio state team with zeke.
1.) 2001 Hurricanes
2.) 2002 Hurricanes (B.S. pass interference call aside)
3.) 2014 Ohio State
4.) 2008 Florida
5.) 2013 Florida State
6.) 2009 Alabama
7.) 2005 Texas
8.) 2004/2005 USC
9.) 2010 Auburn
10.) 2012 Alabama
I might not agree with this after a day or 2 and I may be forgetting some teams but this was my top 10 off the top of my head
05 Texas should be @ 3. And 08 Florida should be @ 4
HipHopotamus lmao 04/05 USC should be top 5, 05 Texas was ok it was really Vince Young and the Defense. So it should be a bit lower.
@@sebastienc.2257 Look at their roster again. Texas had All Americans on both sides of the ball. Was virtually Unstoppable with Vince Young as quarterback.
Yeah thanks for the Love on behalf of FSU. The whole starting 22 got drafted and people try and down play em. 😂😂😂.
S Chochotte i dont think USC would have the fire power to outscore any of the teams ranked ahead of them.
Miami hurricanes are untouchable not just the 01' but especiaply the 01' canes too many hall of famers nobody is even close to the canes man stop it they wouldve killed ohio state texas and bama if you say other wise quit watching sports by far the best defenders produced in the nfl and the fastest and most of the best rbs its no competition the state of Florida produces the best players ever and most hall of famers not just the college they went to but where they were born and raised no question about it i dont wanna hear nun about texas or california they are ofcourse #2 and #3 but we FLORIDIANS been runnin football since 70's and skip cant lie cuz the cowboys he liked the most in irving and emmit smith were from fl the ravens defense all the best dbs rbs lbs are from FL look it up dont just look at the college either look up where they were from youll see that FL been running football from pop warner to the hall of fame in the NFL if i could id put all the great players that came outta FL that were born or raised here against any other state and no other state would even come close texas and cali got some good ball but stop lyin to yall selves yk damn well FL not just the college these players camr from but are actually raised in fl are by far the best football players i played in 2 national championships for pop warner and both years outta 5 age groups atleast 4 from fl wom the superbowl and even the ft Lauderdale canes no one touching fl not even close
in my opinion clinton portis is a hall of famer he was unstoppable at one point and he played in an era where they had all-world defenses #facts
Good ole former Washington Redskin Clinton Portis.
rico .warren as a skins fan I loved CP but idk if he’s a HOF player. Very good but not HOF. His best years was the first two years in Denver under the Mike Shanahan stretch run system. The one where any running back could have a thousand yard season. If he had more season like that when he played for DC he would be a definite HOF.
rico .warren by far miami bruh no question they produce the best defenders EVER and gore is top 3 rushing yards ever right?
Portis is in the Hall of Very Good. The guy he was traded for is a Hall of Famer.
I mean I personally wish he would get in because I loved his play, but if we accept him we'd have to accept A LOT of others that have been denied.
Skip has no dam logics! We talking bout best teams and he's bringing up individual players
The Nixon Show Comedian he comes up with some dumb stuff
dorsey won team mvp on a team with willis mcghee, frank gore, andre johnson, sean taylor, ed reed, jonathan vilma, roscoe parish, clinton portis, tom sievers, bryant mckinnie, vince wilfork, d.j. williams, andre williams, phillip buchanon, antrell rolle, jeremy shockey, kellen winslow II jerome mcdougle and many more nfl level players.
It doesn't. I'm a huge OSU fan, and that 15 OSU team was NOT better then the 2002 OSU team.
You don't need a great Quarterback when everyone else on the team is amazing. You just need a decent quarterback
SangheiliWarrior Check out my channel? God bless ua-cam.com/video/qdKHJ6WZ_F4/v-deo.html
Alabama comes to mind right...
SangheiliWarrior this is why MIAMI will will the chip this year
Universal Empire UE TV facts
Plus Ken Dorsey won NCAA QBs of the year 2 years in a row.
I miss these two man….
As a Wisconsin guy, and huuuuge fan of the badgers, I know how good osu was that year, but they don't beat what the canes had back then. no way.
And yet again, Skiiiuuup proves that he is absolutely insane.
Skip talking about Dorsey like he didn't win the Maxwell Award and a couple other awards in 2001. Let alone he finished 3rd in the Heisman race. Skip has to do a little bit more research lol.
Bryant Mckinnie and Philip Buchanon was also on that Hurricanes team
Genghis Khan Damn
Buchanon returned punts too, he was dope.... That defence is GOAT they averaged 10 points against, and 4 turnovers. They probably would've been a .500 Team if the offence didn't score a single point that year LOL.
So was rascoe Parrish, Mike Rumph and Vernon Carey.. team was absolutely stacked there really is no comparison... even some of the lesser known players that made it to the league like najah Davenport.. the list goes on
Lmfao I would love to see Skip revisit this one 😂😂😂😂
Skip is high!!!, did he just say Zekke will shread that Miami D with Sean Taylor...🤔🤔🤔
Ima buckeye fan all the way but skips wrong
Skip is just trolling. Buahahahahahahha.
1. 2001 Miami
2. 2004 USC
3. 2010 Auburn
Literally 2008 Florida could beat all of them
08 Florida Vs 01 Miami? Yall can't be serious lol. Florida would get annihilated
@@eliibihh 08 Florida would get destroyed by 01 Miami be real
@@austincruz5757 no tf they eouldnt
05 Texas beat that 04 Usc team whose team came back with 05 having the added addition of Brian Cushing.
And 2010 Auburn? Hahahahaha
2001 Miami Hurricane was loaded with talent on the field
Even when the subject isn't the Cowboys, Skip always manages to find a way to bring it back to them. I guarantee you, that if Zeke played for someone else, he wouldn't have brought him up.
2001 canes is the best team of all time... Ken Dorsey wasn’t even that bad
Hurricanes by a mile. Skip talking crazy with that Ezekiel Elliott Ohio state team. Zeke wouldn’t have 100 yards on that 01 canes team.
he wouldnt have 50
Facts lol.
Not at all... I think Reggie bush might have done something
Skip u lost this battle. It ain’t even close
Jajuan Mccray skip won that 14 buckeyes is the best team of all time
Dominic Lowe lol watch tape. That OSU D was Weak. Johnson and Portis would've had a field day
shannon got skip on this one
Arvin Sandhu Check out my channel? God bless ua-cam.com/video/qdKHJ6WZ_F4/v-deo.html
Hopefully in the future we’ll have technology good enough and accurate enough that we could watch games like 2001 Miami vs 2008 Florida.
Wheres Famous Jaimes Winston and Florida St.?
Miami all the way my middle school day's 01 to 03
The 01' Canes would mop the floor of the Buckeyes. Skip knows the Canes are the best.
Runnin' Wild with Milwaukee Buck! They wouldn't beat that 1997 Nebraska Team though go look em up
OfficialJumpman24 Wat a run option team against a balanced attack with Future all pros on both side of the ball. Miami would've mopped the floor against them like they did Switzers OU teams of the 80s. Remember OU was 33-0 against everyone between 85-88. And 0-3 against Jimmy Johnson's Canes during the same period.
How can they beat the 14 buckeyes if they cant best the 02 buckeyes
Dominic Lowe 01 canes didn't play Ohio St...
Tj Adams Never said they did but the 01 Canes would decapitate Ohio St if those 2 teams played. Is my point
Dalvin Cook had a better college career and stats than Ezekiel Elliot
sosmoothreed02 Zeke is better no doubt about it
Paco H stats don't lie
sosmoothreed02 zeke ran for 220+ in the 3 biggest games of his career
Paco H yet cook had way more yards and had a better college career.
sosmoothreed02 Dalvin Cook is product of the city of Miami, but FSU paid a better check
01' Miami Hurricanes no doubt best college football team ever
Ken Dorsey was sacked like 3 times in 21 games... o line with a hof caliber backfield (portis, gore, maghee, davenport).with 2 or 3 hof ca relievers every year of his career (Wayne, moss, Johnson, Shockey, Williams jr.) ... qb doesn't matter... this is a team where if you take away every offensive score they'd still go 8-4 just off defensive and special teams scores...
And he supposed to won the Heisman least once he had his own sport century peice
Oklahoma State's Barry Sanders had one of the best seasons ever for a college running back.
Did skip low-key disrespect Frank Gore? Lol. If so, put some respec in that man's name!
Josh Norris Check out my channel? God bless ua-cam.com/video/qdKHJ6WZ_F4/v-deo.html
William HOward they were the all star team... Literally
Dade Soulja facts
Haha! The Hurricanes WERE an all-star team.
01 Canes had a juggernaut of a squad. Their 3rd string players were better and had more talent than most starting lineups at any school. And I'm a Bama fan.
95 Nebraska- best team
01 Miami- most talented/best defense
19 LSU- best offense
I like that
ezekiel wouldn’t do none of that against those great miami teams. Skip need to chill out
Travis Bivins nor Florida. They would have took his head off
Travis Bivins he would get killed
Travis Bivins they would shut him down
My dawg Shannon first words out his mouth #TheU
I was disappointed I wanted to see skip argue for Tebow again lol
and he actually had a good reason to this time lol
Im with shannon on this one that miami team was loaded top to bottom i dont think zeke is better then portis. Lets see zeke with a average line.
A year later and I’m still trying to find out how Skip ruled out Ken Dorsey but praised Cardale Jones for a three game stretch💀
Dorsey only lost 2 games in college
As a USC fan that '01 Miami team was the best followed by the '04 Trojans of course.
HipHopR&BLover Jon Check out my channel? God bless ua-cam.com/video/qdKHJ6WZ_F4/v-deo.html
HipHopR&BLover Jon The 04 Trojans had to vacate that national championship right??
Genghis Khan Yeah, but they're still champions as everybody including the AP, analysts, and players who played against them that think so. Foh...smh
The yr Tebow's Gators won the championship isn't it the yr USC lost that one game, cause I heard on a podcast if they had made the champ game Vegas had them as the favs, that USC team had a great D full of speed, I believe they would of beat those Gators.
HipHopR&BLover Jon Basically the 2004 Championships never happened and neither did Reggie Bush's Heisman.. So you GTFOH.. GO CANES.. 😂😂😂
That 2001 Miami team ALWAYS gonna be the best one of all time IMO. Putting them at 3 was a SUPREME INSULT
Skip lost this one whomp whomp. The canes was the best and most stacked college team ever on earth #RIPSeanTaylor
Skip is paid to be provocative. He almost smirked a couple of times when he tried to downplay the Canes. He knew!
3:23 “WHAT U GONNA DO WITH ALL THE OTHER GUYS!” 😂😂😂
Nobody tops the 2001 UM Squad
Miami #1
USC #2
Period... any questions???
in the last 20 years yes I will give u that but also LSU and Ohio State had some good teams
#1 Miami
#2 Florida
Period...any questions???
95 Nebraska '94 PSU
- 01 Miami is without a doubt #1.
I agree 👍.
01 hurricanes greatest team ever
1Whoonie I agree as well. Skip must be high.
2002 Osu beat that same team
ksolo614 Miami got robbed that year it’s the most controversial call in football history
ksolo614 OSU got a terrible call 2 win that game.
4:21 Skip's argument summed up in one second
