zoysgig my best friend just picked it up on vinyl!! Been a long time coming, needless to say, it’s been a regular in the rotation. Just listened to speak yesterday!
Hey Man , you are the most in-depth guitar teacher on the planet … and your a great guitar player … Just wanted to say Thanks , everything you do for all of us , it means the world !!!
Awesome lesson, love Queensryche and especially Chris Degarmo's work. Although from totally different style bands, Chris is similar to Vito Bratta in that he was unique & immensely gifted but checked out of the industry 25 odd years ago and is sorely missed still!
The Warning. So long ago. They weren't famous at all back then. No Sanctuary is an awesome track. I love Queensryche. Thanks for the Jet City lesson. I had to figure everything out by ear back when Empire came out. We did this one and Silent Lucidity in the band I was in at the time. Cheers mate.
Sir I just wanted to say that you are the only person other than chris zuppa that I can learn from. Its always correct and you have a way of explaining it that is easily understood. Thank you for such great lessons.
YEAAAHHHH!!! Do you know how long I've waited for this!!??!!? "Walk in the shadows" next. "Where's the super-duper, oversized "Thumbs Up" notification button?😎
Carl... just heard the song, honestly, I just started to listen to them, I hate new music, so I am always going back to old metal bands... you just made my weekend!
I really need to learn how to play Empire by Queensryche my new band is covering it and all the other videos were not helpful at all your lessons are perfect as I did learn Jet City Women from your instruction on UA-cam so thank you in advance and yes Jet City is in our set list. Keep Killing brother you are a great talent and very detailed on you videos ....
Dude. it all started with me thinking about eyes of a strangers' guitar intro, chorus ,melodies, solo and just brought so much back to memory. The hook is just amazing CDG just nails it. So then I wanted to know what the heck happened to CDG and that led me to another great song Jet city Woman and came across these two note for note vids you did and now I want to buy me an effects rack, stack and Axe. Thanks man for firing those neurons that were stashed away in time..
First let me say you are a fantastic instructor and I have followed you for years. One idea, one of my #1 questions is about how to achieve a specific tone. This is a classic example. Not asking for specific settings or anything but even something as simple as this has reverb, delay, and a chorus pedal... or whatever. Seems like no one includes this vital information. I believe I have the skills to learn this song, but I have to guess at the effects used.
Fan-freakin-tastic!! I love Queensryche and DeGarmo and Wilton are one of my favorite guitar duos ever. Thank you Carl, you're the man! Keep Rockin! Cheers!🤘 P.s. Might I recommend Walk in the Shadows or En Force?
Hi dear My name Edu iam from Brazil!!! i folow ten years your channel I would to like learn Take hold flame by queensryche Please!!!!!! Great teacher The best channel guitar lesson from UA-cam
@GuitarLessons365song I really enjoy your videos they help me tons. I'm a lifelong self taught musician but your technique is solid. I would really like to see you do some Dwight Yoakam songs like Cadillac man or she wore red dresses or honky-tonk man ect. Hesgit a real cool sound. Thanks bro💪
Hey Carl, great video! I know you get tons of requests for songs every day, but in the off chance you see this would you be able to do a lesson on the song “Victim of changes” by Judas Priest? My dad passed away this last June and that was his favorite song, so it would mean the world to me if I could learn to play it from such a great teacher. Thanks Carl, rock on!!
So glad you are teaching this song. I think it’s too advanced for me, as I’m a beginner in my fifties, but I’ve always been a huge fan of Chris DeGarmo and the whole band. Some tabs might help me, but probably not. 😒
I don’t like making requests because I feel it sounds rude. But I can’t hold it in anymore. I would love it if you could teach “Triste Cancion de Amor” by El Tri. It’s a super popular Hispanic song that would be amazing to know. I think it would be a nice change of pace too. Cheers for taking time to read this if you are.
