Thank you for the update on the Charger. The body lines and door gaps look way better than when it was new. Roger and his talented crew have done an amazing job on Charger, I can't wait to see the body with it's fresh coat of Y2 yellow. I am very anxious to see the Charger back at Nick's Garage, then the real fun starts, reassembly. Nick, thank you for taking the time to drive over to Roger's shop for the update. Some times you just have to step away from the shop for a few minutes to clear your head, it's good therapy. I loved the video George, everything was so clear and the sound was excellent, it seemed like I was right there with you while you were making the video. I'm already looking forward to the next update. I see that the Charger is in good company at Roger's shop, lots of nice hotrods in the background.
Thanks for watching, Eugene. Everyone involved in the build is proud to be working with such a fine car.
It's super clean Thanks to Roger and the Showtime team I wanna see it put together so bad Some of the best content I've ever had Thanks Eugene of the crop Your car is the cream
Nick knows who he can trust.
Eugene, I'm not sure how to tell you this but I am in love with your car. I hope you don't mind but I am after all only human. So beautiful and she isn't even wearing any makeup yet. Imagine what she is going to look like when she is ready for her first dance?
@@kerrylewis2581 well said cars hit that spot when they are going out for that special night
just sitting outside enjoying the video on my laptop and enjoing the first 20 degrees celsius(72 degree) day here in Estonia
Sounds like a great day. Thanks for watching!
Aitäh.
Charger has such gorgeous lines....imo one of the best looking domestic cars ever produced
Eugenes Charger is looking bold and bright Perfectly primed in the white Roger from Showtime has been working day and night Paint preperation takes dedication Taking the correct steps to avoid frustration This Charger 500 is gonna be a true sensation and at the drag strip it'll cause devastation Thanks to Nick's Garage and Eugene for sharing this beautiful creation
Thanks Roberto, always early to the show.
@@NicksGarage My pleasure fella I like the Friday and the Monday shows in equal measure
I still remember the rear roof pillar from when I was a kid I loved those cars and still do
These cars can take us right back to different times.
I know exactly what you’re talking about I have the same problem with my boat repair business. We can only do the best we can hang in there buddy and have a great week.
Well said! Thanks for watching.
Roger does some real fine work , wish i could afford to have my car done by showtime . That charger has never looked better everything lines up perfectly
The shop doing Charger 500 body work is doing a fantastic job. I don’t care what anyone says but the 68,69 and 70 Dodge Chargers are some of the nicest American cars ever built. Beautiful from every angle!
A Charger 500 update? About dang time, y'all! ROAD TRIP!
*ROGER!*
Those gaps are amazing, sir. Nick is correct - our beloved Mopars never came new with
perfect gaps and now you have *Eugene's* as close to that as I've ever seen.
The lines and everything are beautiful!
It's time to get her shot and back to Nick.
Great job, Roger!
-Ed on the Ridge
Good morning Nick, the Charger looks amazing in primer.
Morning! It sure does. Thanks for joining us for a look today.
Priceless. Absolutely amazing
Nick's garage is one of the most respected shops in the world I feel like you are a icon for dodge they should recognize that as you keep all there older cars alive. Stay safe wish you all the best
I feel for you Nick. I'm sure that most people want to know how much it will cost and how long it's going to take right off the bat. That's hard to guess with those older cars when parts can be difficult to find. Some cars are like opening a can of worms when you start taking them apart. But at least you got a great car to start with - this time. It's going to turn out great!
Nick is the only canadian Mechnaic-master who is even well known in middle europe.Great!
You can only do so much, if you don't know your limits and pace yourself, you burn out, dream job or not.
That's the truth.
Spot on👍🏻
The 500 looks absolutely amazing such beautiful body lines
I agree Nick 200 percent been in this business a long time some times old or new you sometimes waste more time chasing down parts than working on the car itself . Nick no matter how much you charge you never get paid for the agravation that some jobs create and as you get older it makes for a long day but how do replace the feeling when you turn the key and the car is fixed !
Nicks garage a little hole in the wall in the middle of nowhere in Quebec becoming the epicenter of all things mopar in North America and quickly become a world wide phenomenon wow who doesn't love the second gen charger body style the most awarded body style ever to come out of any factory fantastic
Well? It's just a few hours' drive from Detroit, after all. 😉
I think this is the most anticipated build in North America! I saw the new Bronco and I was hrmmpff.... saw the 2021s....hrmmpf. We're all waiting for this Charger!!! Thanks for sharing each one of these steps so we can live vicariously through you.
Sending you karma Nick, don’t let your dedication to your craft get the best of you. These are trying times all around. We are all very proud of your work and anything that stands in the way of getting it done will be overcome professionally. You guys are some of the best, but my personal favorites too. 🤙🏻🤩🚗💨💨
Yeah, The 500 does look like a model car sitting there. I can smell the tester's model cement. Love it, man.
Right on
The thing I really love about this model, when looking from behind how wide the top of the rear quarter panels are just like the Testa Rossa Ferrari, different cars but you know what I mean.
wow, those door gaps look perfect, the body looks lazer straight, nice job to rodger and crew.
I didn't go down the "chrysler path" when I started working on cars, but Lord, the lines on that body design - still spectacular after all these decades:)
Man that thing sitting on the rotisserie looks absolutely perfect almost like a model car
It's amazing to see in person.
@@NicksGarage I bet it is
....right?!
That is EXACTLY what it made me think of, when I saw it!! I used to get SO excited whenever I would get a model car into the "body - in - primer" stage...
This is the best thing I love watching on this channel. Watchin nicks challenger being restored was orgasmic and reliving the experience again with the 500 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
This is all I've ever done !! can be very nerve racking !!! looking good!!!!
The 500 will be better than new, it will be exhibition grade + extra. Eugene is fortunate to have that car in such competent hands. It's starting to become eye candy, even in primer, no doubt!
Dr. Nick, thanx for the charger 500 update, I know that all of us can not wait to see it running, cheers
You bet! Thanks for watching.
Hello Nick! I haven't been comenting on your videos lately. I have been sick. I just got out of the Hospital 05/10/21 Monday. I had hernia/infected mesh/abdominal wall reconstructon surgery. Then contracted MERSA infection and a second surgury, 12 days in the Hospital. I'm better. So here's my comment: "Love your You Tube Channel!" "Love the Dodge Charger 500!" Seeing it restored will be a treat!" "Don Garlets is the only other person that owns a Charger 500 in his private collection next to his Plymouth Superbird and Dodge Charger Daytona! "$$$$!!!" He's 86 years old and still going pretty strong for his age without his wife Pat😪. Love the old clasic cars you work on. I wish you had a 1969 Pontiac Firebird. Those car cars are very rarely seen and hard to keep running and rolling. "CATCH'CHA'LATA ALIGATOR!!!"
Ouch! Sounds like a major rebuild. So good to hear that you’re feeling better and back home. Thanks for the kind comments and take care. We muscle car lovers have to stick around. There’s a lotta alligators to catch!
Thank you Nick for showing us where the Charger 500 is at and man it is looking spot on at this time in primer and everything looks lined up nicely. I bet Eugene is more than happy with the car thus far. George you took some awesome shots top videoing too.
Stay safe all and thanks for sharing.
Good morning Nick and team my grandson and i look forward to your show every monday morning thanks for great shows have a great week keep safe
Morning! Wonderful that you are watching together. Have a great week.
Thanks for the update. The 500 is going to be awesome ! Happy Monday
The gaps and body lines are out of this world.👽
The Charger 500 looks fast even on the rotisserie! Thanks for posting another excellent video from you, Nick!
Hi Nick and team! Always looking forward to a new episode of your weekly show. I regularly said 'Hi from Belgium' to you in several of your LIVE show's and you always replied to me which means a lot to me, you know. Since I watch your show my love for real old school American Musclecars has hugely increased! Kind regards from Belgium, Harald
Thanks for watching!
Watching you walk around the Charger's body. I had a vision of what the design team in Detroit had when they sculpted the shape from a massive block of clay. Imagine what was going through the stylist's mind as it progressed. It's simply an amazing design. Thanks Nick.
Nick eugenes chargers looking great cant wait til the world see's it Canadians aren't a joke the mopar man nick is a master can't wait to see it finished
What an icon! The car and Nick!
Thanks buddy!
Excellent morning with nicks garage
Can’t wait for nick to get charger back and start the work
that charger 500 is looking awesome i also cant wait to see it painted......
good morning, living the dream at nicks garage
That Charger's shape is gorgeous. And props to Nick for admiring it without touching it.
It was hard to resist!
I'm with Roger on this with getting gaps perfect. Just because build quality was bad in '69, doesn't mean it has to be now.
Rotisary rebuild is also the perfect time to fix all those inherent problems from the original build.
Like you said Nick... eveything has got to be perfect... and it would seem Roger is taking care of his part and making sure it comes back to you with perfect gaps and resto work... and I bet the paint job is 1st class and way better than Factory.
Can’t wait to see the charger all finished.
That charger 500 is going to be wonderful
Nick there comes a time
When you manage your shop and let someone else run the crew. Good luck finding
That trust. 🙏👊
Thanks for the update on Eugenes Charger! 👍🏼
You bet. We are eager to see this car back in Nick's hands.
Damn I want to see that Charger 500 up close. That would be a treat.
i cant wait to see the car painted and back at nicks garage for assembly :)
Ain't that the truth!
Most people have little Idea about how much work goes into fully restoring cars. I worked in Restoration shop out of high school for 5-6 years. Use to wetsand tell my finger tips bled from actually sanding the skin off.. Sand blasting for hours on frames and parts in blast cabinets and taking apart every part of a car labeling and marking wires, fixing and re-taping them and color sanding with 1200-1500 grit paper that's basically like one step above industrial toilet paper in grit!
Most impressive! Also like the fact that the Focus has manual windows hahahaha
Yep, but automatic door locks!
@@NicksGarage I cannot wait to see that body in that yellow paint! That is a sexy beast indeed
@@NicksGarage I've been locked out by power door locks more times than I care to remember . I've learned to never leave the keys in the ignition.
Georgie, you need to grab some of them donuts! 😀
There is always good food at the shop. 👍
Love the John Milner car, very American Hot Rod!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for sharing your heart, Nick - what we as viewers see is mostly the fun and good stuff - but I'm quite sure there's a lot of blood, sweat and tears going on as well - lots of pressures and challenges no doubt, especially in this last year - just don't forget to breathe - all the best !!
I look forward to see the Charger 500 being put back together just as Nicks white Challenger was done. Nick said he owned may Mopars but never a Charger. I kick myself sometimes. A friend tried to sell me his 1974 Charger years ago. I was into E body Challengers and Barracudas back then and didn't want some long nose big car like a Charger.
He does amazing work can't wait to see it painted
That was great, thanks.
Thanks for sharing some of the frustrations with being in this business. I can relate to all of it. We schedule work as carefully as we can, but things can go south in a heartbeat, and then it snowballs from there. The shop is very busy - and we schedule thinking OK this will take 2 days and be out of here. Then something doesn't work out. Meanwhile we have a full schedule for weeks after that one was supposed to be gone. So now we have to fit the 2 day job into the full schedule later somehow - not easy, and space becomes a problem.
Some customers are cool and say whenever it gets done, that's fine. Others say the same thing and call 2 hours later and ask it it's done yet. Sometimes seeing the same person over and over on the caller ID stresses us right out, to the point of we want to turn off the phone.
Anyways, we could go on and on about how things don't always go as planned. All we can do is our best, and that's it. It's easy to say don't get too stressed out about things - but when we care about our business and keeping people happy and doing things right, that's not so easy, either.
Good morning Nick and crew!!! I just am in awe of such great videos: George, you are the artiste magnifique!!! That Charger is gonna be 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!!!! I hope to get my hands on a Dart or Barracuda one day: I'm 63, but I STILL feel like I have some creative fire in my bones, I've been a car nut since FOREVER!! Keep up the excellence, Nick and have a great day, all!!!!
Good morning and thanks for watching.
Its all about taking it one day at a time professor nick....and yes the crew will be waiting and on ready mode for the 500 looks awesome....💯👍🤙
The Charger 500 is looking great! Glad you were able to make some time to get away from the day to day shop operations, as we all know there is no such thing as a perfect job to work!
Keep up the great work and video content! I look forward to it.
Thanks 👍
I had a Focus just like that one.
Thanks for the update on the Charger 500.
Hey Nick, hope your well and staying safe....as Mr Eastwood once said, a man’s got to know his limitations.....take the weight off every now n then. All the best from Oz!
Nick is one tough MAN
Great to see the progress on Eugene's Charger! Thanks for the ride to the body shop! Take care of yourself, and don't get too worn down Nick.
If you go to Showtime Muscle Cars and look at Roger's FB page, he did another update on the Charger yesterday. It shows the left side of the car with guide coat applied, which shows high and low spots along the side of the car. This is the final step before it heads to the paint booth. The rest of the car is ready for paint. I can't wait to see the Charger painted Y2 yellow.
Omg Nic you're a legend.
I chuckle every time Nick mentions the less-than perfect way Chrysler's door panels were hung from the factory, uneven gaps and seams. Our family was Plymouth all-the-way when I was young... and if some of the doors on those cars were misaligned any worse, they would be on upside down.
When will we get to see a winged car in Nick's shop? That would be an eye-popper!
Heavy equipment mechanic for 35 years know what it's like when the work piles up everybody wants their stuff done
I tell you good luck on the tremendous amount of work you have to do to put it together !!! What and superb body work thanks for Roger !! I admire every People who work in the restoring business, it takes guts and brain of steel to take the pressure and it takes a lot of passion !!!! Thanks nick, vassily !! Take care !!!
Thank you too!
NICK,
WOW! That Charger is a beautiful car. Which reminds me-
Have you ever heard what goes on at the Ford Motor co design studio?
Near the design studio FORD has a warehouse full of every model car &
truck Ford has ever built. When ever a designer wants to pull a vehicle
out of the warehouse, the design studio chief makes them wash the
vehicle. By HAND. He wants them to not just look at the vehicles lines,
he wants them to FEEL the lines. He wants them to run their hand along
the fender & across the hood. He wants then to feel the wheel arches & the
roof. The chief feels that his designers get so much more out of washing a
car than just a look.
!
That’s going to be really something NICK 👍
That's going to be a beautiful Charger Nick! Chargers have always been my favorite! I've owned 2 1968's 1 1969 and 1 1970, sadly life happened and I sold them and now another one is out of reach, I had to settle for cheaper A bodys nowadays. Great episode, thanks for sharing!
The JOB may be a dream but sometimes the WORK can be a nightmare. How bout that Nick?
Right on, Wizzard.
Nick, I feel that I know how you feel about all the pressure. Hang in there! What you need is a good whiff of Kowalski tire smoke, a few seconds of that unique mystery “growl” that only your makes when you ‘drop the hammer’ in second gear (you know the one - not a rattle, but definitely one only found in the Kowalski when under hard power) and few minutes spent hand-washing each and every inch of your creation.....😎
And George, great footage, audio was great, views well thought out, but the distinctive body shop smell didn’t come through very well! Better check into that! 😉
I was in the middle of watching Powernation rebuilding of a flat head V8 when I saw this pop up. Bypassed to here first, going back after.
Speaking of dreams, sometimes it's a dream, sometimes a nightmare. In regard to nightmares I'm still dealing with that Hummer H3, so I have to dig deeper. I got it to run and due to not having the tools I had to wait. Now I have tools and I'm just getting started. While I've got the crank out I see that I have to mirror polish the crank pin journals, I may want to throw some fluid to clean out the journals and I'm gonna be taking a deeper look. The oil pump seals had to have exploded for a reason. I got to thinking that I might even want to look closer at the cam.
Now, I've thought about replacing the crankshaft. Down side is, it has been discontinued as of Covid. I have to work with what I have.
That's going to turn out amazing. The gaps are incredible.
For the shop turnaround, don't let things out of your control weigh your shoulders. We are in tricky times overall, so we can only do our best.
Nice to see the 500 update. Was wondering how the Charger was coming along. Can’t wait to see it in yellow again!
Seems Nick Needs a Bigger Shop 🏪 To Have More Room For All These Magnificent Muscle Cars. Nick You & All People Involved Are Doing a Fantastic Job Great Videos

That would be cool!
What a car! Friggin AWESOME
Photography in this vid is WAY up there in quality. Congratulations!
Thank you!
Thats is looking good 👍, like you can't wait to see the paint on it. Then to see it all together ❤
You are the best Nick, keep up the god work...
von. Thank you.
The 500s body lines are beautiful
The car looks like it is flying.
@@NicksGarage LOL it’s one of The flying cars we are promised. Where is George Jetson
Add some Rolls Royce anywhere you can with this one Nick.
Love the Show.
Great to see the Eugene mobile coming along nicely. The American Graffiti car is super sweet too but I'd have to take off the "American Graffiti" decals". All that does is add fromage. That car deserves better than that. Good cam work George.
69 Charger is the best Dodge ever!! Love it!!
All worth the wait sweeet charger 500
My gosh man...You will haft to wear sun glasses when looking at that car painted bust out Banana Yellow....Thanks Nicko....!
Dodge didn't have any high impact colors in 1969. The Charger is being painted Y2 yellow, or Sunfire yellow, according to the 1969 paint code book. The Banana Yellow was available on the 1970 Mopar's.
Loving this build
Never knew that about the GT 500 trunk. Thanks
this will be one of the best documented & restored charger 500 in existence , cool.
such a sweet ride!
Nick that’s a really great gob done on the 500
Just a blast from the past;
I was reading up on the scene in Bullitt, between the '68 Mustang Fastback and the '68 Charger R/T. The Mustang had to be heavily modified to just keep up with the Charger. The only thing that the Charger couldn't do was corner, bad understeer. I am thinking that could be fixed in '21.
Just bought a 64 440 318 push button. Going to be coming up from southeast missouri eventually with my grandma (she loves canada and I'd love to take her while I can) to have you help me complete my build someday. Who knows I might have a trailer of mopar to bring you by then.
I volunteer in a restoration shop in the san Francisco bay area one day a week, we are always way behind in finding part's for these old cars the owners get mad at me, and I'm a volunteer!
Dog. We just try our best. Stay safe.
First to say Great channel Mr. King of the north
Thank you kindly
If I didn't know better, I would think that Nick really lusts after the Charger 500.
great tour nick the car is shaping up nicely
great show thank you
It is really tough sometimes running your own business. Every aspect of that business falls on the owner. It’s a tremendous amount of pressure. I hope everything gets straightened out for you Nick.
Thank you, Danny.
