2 minutes into the video and I already feel comfortable watching the both of you talk. You guys are very chill and easy to listen to, which draws me in. On top of that, you guys seem to have nice on-camera personalities. Keep it up! I look forward to seeing more videos from you guys.
Thank you that means a lot - interestingly the NZ trip was a little different as we were less on camera - especially Jane as it was more a holiday - the Ireland and current Europe series is probably more representative- hope we don’t scare you off 😂
We are on our last day in a Wilderness Motorhome and loved every minute of it. I would use them again in a heartbeat over the others. Very friendly and helpful and a great experience.
I love a van review 😁. We started campervan life with a 5m Ford Transit Custom with a pop top and they are a fantastic van. We moved to a 5.4m Peugeot Boxer with a bathroom and now we have a 6.36m Fiat Ducato also with a bathroom and we love it. However, we don’t use the shower. We love the separate toilet and don’t mind the cassette but we also love that we can hang our wet clothes in there and the heating vent and sky light dries them so fast. It’s also a very comfortable van with a U shape rear lounge that makes up into a super king size bed or two singles, which feels like luxury to us 🤣. It’s also very easy to drive and park. I am tempted by a big motorhome but I think the additional width and length would definitely restrict us. I think sometime in the future we might go back to a 5.3m Ford Transit van because we wouldn’t need a car but for now we are definitely enjoying our bigger van. Thanks for sharing another interesting video.
What a great evolution of vehicles and the drying room is a great use of the bathroom for sure - in my head a small cupboard in a van with a vent would be a great addition in a small van - glad you enjoyed the video as we always like looking at other vans to Take care
Looking forward to South Island tour, hoping you retrace some of my steps at Able Tasmin and down the west coast. Thanks for another good video Jane and Stew.
Very informative. Friends did a 3 week tour in amotor home of NZ & had nothing but good things to say. It also helped them to make the decision when getting a caravan.having the comforts of home as they do a lot of "park ups" as you call it. Here we call it "of road parking" they have just finished 12 weeks touring. From Melbourne South Australia Queensland & Wester Australia. Had a fantastic time . Saw places I had never heard off. Will finish babbling on. Lol cheers Lynne Victoria Australia🇦🇺🐨🦘😁🧡💙
Nice to hear from you and going on trips I am sure helps the decision making - I know 4 years in we are still changing what we want / need / don’t want etc thanks for watching
Hi Guys here's a question, I am considering buying a 2020 Carado T135 vans, my question is, was it noisy when driving, you know bangs, rattles and knocks as you drive around, or was it quite restrained and quiet? it would be great for a bit of info, thank you - subscribed
So obviously I can only answer based on the limited few weeks versus our campervan I think all vans rattle and mist rattles are really down to what you are storing and how you secure. We found the vans a good drive and not overtly noisy. So this motorhome v anything else I would say nothing noticeable - if sound bugs you and it does either us jus make sure things like bottle cans glasses and the oven in particular are sorted The van itself was pretty good Good luck
Just found this, thanks. I had that motorhome in 2020, solo traveller, did have satnav then though! I did find the shower a bit small, but I am a little large!😂 only real problem I found solo travelling is backing out of some parking spaces! I am looking to go next year again and am going to book Wilderness. What time of year did you go? Good review
Welcome hope you can stay around in the channel and enjoy our content - we arrived just after there peak summer season at the beginning of Feb as we wanted to miss the main crowds but also get some weather and it generally worked out …. Envious you are going again to see places you missed or go back to those you really enjoyed. The motorhome is a great size and easy to park in single places generally Enjoy your next trip and thank you for watching Oh yes backing out without a second person is tricky but guess you just take it slow and hope lol
Would you change and get that size motorhome for more space now you have tried one , or are you still happy with the size of Harry for your trips . Im still trying to decide on what size before i buy the wrong one😂 Thanks for sharing
So this is really a personal choice and what we want and you want maybe different Key things for me is Are you wild camping a lot as we do if so then some times dependant upon location getting down those side roads or parking up a smaller van is easier Compromise is amenities and if you have watched our videos our approach to toilets is for us brilliant and liberating and something i don’t think we would understand when we initially looked We don’t or want a toilet as for us it’s no more private If you plan to stay on sites most of the time I get a motorhome that allows you to stretch out Don’t know if I helped but keep asking and I will answer as best I can
So Stew, do you think you’ll be swapping Harry for a Motorhome? We took a slightly bigger 4 berth 7.4mtr dethleffs trend out last weekend. I must admit it felt like I was driving a boat/super tanker. But on the plus side great amenities and space. The jury is still out though as I’m not convinced the UK roads are suitable for such large vehicles. Looks like you had the most amazing time in NZ, one for the bucket list.
So the answer is no - whilst the oven and fixed bed always great and the roads and traffic for us in NZ took the van we love the agility of Harry I think this is a very personal decision and in probably is down to what you are trying to do - if you want to spend most of your time on sites then motorhomes are a great space as you can set up for a long period of time and enjoy If you want to spend more time touring and parking up down back lanes then maybe that is more challenging BUT I know many motorhome owners still do that It’s about what’s comfortable to you - we want to park in a standard parking space but then again we can’t go under a height barrier so as you can see many considerations
HI, We are looking for the same type of camper. The bed width states 1m30. Obvsiously that will be personal, but that sounds quite narrow to me. How did you experience the bed itself as I didn't spot that part in the video.
Hi there - if you are talking about the motorhome we rented we arent sure of the dimensions sorry but that sounds about right. . The bed width is wider at the top and narrower at the bottom and I have to say one of the best weve slept in. Especially for my bad back and we didnt find it narrow at all. Hope that helps 😊 jane
@@getawaygeese Thank you for your reply. Indeed, I'm talking about the rental motorhome in New Zealand. Thanks for the insights and sharing your experience.

Thanks for sharing! - glad you had the same experience as we did - a good company to work with
How dare you look at another van you shameless hussies 😁. Harry just rang me and he is in bits 😁👍
Lol 😂 he wasn’t happy at all even if we were just considering - I have no loyalty lol 😂
🤣🤣🤣

Keep watching on that point - thank you for watching and glad you enjoy the videos - South Island has a lot of stunning sights
Nice video, well arranged motorhome, a fixed bed would be a luxury 😂 Thanks, Em 💜
Yes Jane loved it the fact she could simply flip on it at any time - a step up of luxury
Thanks for watching
That was a great review!

No problem. I hope you have a great trip. If you are thinking of going with Wilderness we cant recommend them enough. Jane 😊
So was 9 weeks in Harry in Ireland difficult
No not at all we found it easy out of season at least and the way we travel …. So much so we are going back next year - thanks for watching
Makes sense. You really thought it through. Good review. Will help a lot of people. 👍🚐🧙♂️
Thanks - we enjoyed it in NZ as it was a great way for us to tour but eat with two others and relax - you get that luxury all the time lol
