Serge (Bronson Pinchot) brings Axel (Eddie Murphy) and Billy (Judge Reinhold) up to date on his new business venture.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
The third entry in the popular Beverly Hills Cop series finds Detroit cop Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy) returning yet again to Southern California, this time on the trail of two car thieves turned murderers. As he teams up again with L.A. cop Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold), Foley's investigation leads him to Wonder World, a theme park that is also the front for a major counterfeiting ring. More action and less wit are the trademarks of this film, which features Murphy dishing out his usual wisecracks, but with less flair and freshness than in the original film. Alan Young plays the old man who runs the amusement park, an interesting setting that still adds little to the tired premise.

NoHo Hank and Serge are so much alike. Pleasant but also about business. They love to be stylish and fearsome, while also being kind. It took me awhile to figure out who Noho Hank reminded me of, but it finally clicked!

Bronson Pinchot is a freaking genius!!! His loopy mis-pronunciations remind me of those IRS scam phone guys. Except that Bronny is cute and hysterical. And those IRS scam guys with mysterious accents are greedy criminals. Still, I laugh my ass off, and always think of Serge.
I probably haven't seen this movie in about 7 years, but I just bought a Camry and this scene popped into my head so I had to search UA-cam for it.

Sabelo Subz Jali Well that period (late 70s to the late 90s) was all about self expression and trying new things, integrating cultures without overrunning them and just having a good time even at your own expense. There was still a sense of mystique around and the two greatest cities in the US, NYC and LA, combined glitz and glamour with appropriate amounts of grit and grime. Now even people are going corporate and trying to get paid in any way possible from an early age, everybody is trying to exploit someone for a buck. Add to that gentrification and the inundation of personalities via social media and it's just a little too much. Countries really go as their flagship cities do, and now that those two are basically prepped for public consumption from all visitors (read: sterilized) it's happening everywhere else.

You would think that Serge and Billy would have become more acquainted in the intervening time given that Billy likes to acquire weapons and Serge became a 'veepons' dealer. Beverly Hills is just 32,000 people, over just 5.7 square miles. Serge could have outfitted the entire BHPD with a state of the art arsenal through Billy as his contact.

Wonder why they filmed with a split or green screen? It is obvious that the 3 of them are not all on the sound stage at the same time. A lot of back of the head shots. The over the shoulder shot of Axel and Billy while Serge is showing them his products is obviously the two of them looking at a green screen. It was less obvious back then, but seems more obvious now..
