I absolutely love this advert. The Gentleman is totally gorgeous. He can come and skip around on my lawn with his puppet and in his cute wellies any day. I would love that handsome face looking at me the way he looks at the puppet! 😉
This ad is actually creepy and peculiar. The guy's moustache is odd, and he is dressed strangely, and relates to the puppet in an unhealthy way, plus the music is weird, but I like it. The guy is dressed like Harry Enfield in a football skit set in the 1930s, but the red wellies are a problem.
This is, it seems, an example of ‘oddvertising’. Using words or images which confound logic and expectations, so that the subject lodges in the mind of the observer! Phew! I’m astonished there is so little comment on this ad across social media, yet I’d say it really does do its job - no other way the name ‘RESI’ would have stayed with me…quite clever really!
I don't think it means anything. Its purpose is to be so oddly seductive, it sticks in your brain and makes you want a home extension. The guy is quite sexy.
I think Resi is staffed by men of the LGBTQ community. It's located in Vauxhall which a lot of the people who come under the G letter live and work. It's a nice area, and has been flashed up big-time over the last decade.
The only thing that makes sense, vaguely, is the last line of the song, when he tells the 'dogie' (calf) that Wyoming will be his 'new home' so I think it's the only song they could find featuring these words. The rest of it is really weird, but at the same time, oddly entertaining.
I don’t think I have hated anything on TV as much as I detest this advertisement. I don’t understand what it is about and can’t fathom what a weirdo in red Wellington boots and short trousers prancing about with his arm up the back passage of a monkey puppet has got to do with home extensions. The song being played is also irrelevant and boringly silly. I now turn down the sound and look away when this silly, boring and useless advert is shown.
@@robertsrobots6531 Bobrob, I’m shocked. If that advert makes you ‘happy’ in any way then you are surely just as weird as the cretinous character portrayed in it!
Best advert on TV currently! 🔥🔥🔥
I Love the advert, the man is gorgeous and a big smile comes across my usually miserable face every time it comes on 😃

Get Along Little Dogies, old cowboy song.
Is it really ? It sounds like an old Flemish song by Louis Neefs. Laat ons een bloem. ua-cam.com/video/71wghw75fQs/v-deo.htmlsi=hU5_u9SMU-imMYOl
I wonder what came first, the cowboy song or the Flemish song ?
@@IzzyPea584 the cowboy song. The late Roy Rogers sang it in the late 1940s and The Kingston Trio also did a cover version

Yeah. It's so weird, but I find it compelling. I probably need help, or a home extension, or a date with this man, or better still, with his puppet.
Ray Prince, I take it no-one refers to you as "Ray of Sunshine."
