Delta's 767-300s have power ports, the newer delta screens and just feel more comfortable. Their 767-400s are older and so when my parents book, we ALWAYS look for their 767-300 flights. Thanks Daniel for publishing a review of my fav airline!

Great video as always Daniel! This just goes to show how dramatically different the cabins on varying aircraft in an airline’s fleet can be. Delta does a fantastic job of making a 20+ year old 757 or A320 look brand spanking new on the inside. Some have said that Delta is one of the only of the US3 that puts PTVs in all of their newly-delivered aircraft. Even the CS100, which is set to replace the old MD80s and some CRJs, is set to receive PTVs. I would love to see a “Business Class Week/Month/Season” where you compare the best and newest business class products from each of the US3. American Airlines’ Flagship Business (777/787), Delta Airlines’ Delta One Suite (A350), and United Airlines’ Polaris (777-300ER)!

Thanks for the awesome reviews! I just finished the Economy Week playlist in one sitting, and I learned so much! I live in Milwaukee so Delta is my preferred airline, but I am flying American through PHX to LAX in September, and after watching your review I'm excited to give them another chance. I was also excited to learn about Norwegian, I looked them up and they have flights from Chicago to London starting at $360. I may have to try them next year! Thanks for the great reviews!

I have flown on those ageing Delta 767-400s many times. If you have a standard size iPad with folding case, you can hang the iPad over the IFE by folding the front over in half and wedging it in between the IFE screen and the seat it is embedded within. Works great and makes everyone around you super jealous. You can see me doing this on several videos in my channel!

Your DL International crew was so old because ATL, though large, is still a pretty senior base and I think the Lima trip goes really senior (hence all of the "seasoned" FA's). The most junior was probably the LODO or language speaker.

I think you should definitely try long haul again. Their 767400 which is what you were on, is an older cabin and their 767300s are awesome. And more similar to the rest of the Delta fleet. The 767400 is sorta the oddball, but it takes time to refurbish those aircraft. Give Delta a chance long haul again, just not in the 767400. I love them and their service.

  • @beefbrisket168

I agree with your views on the Delta A320 cabin when i was flying it. I did once get to fly in Delta Comfort+ (Free Upgrade no special status, Domestic flight) good legroom and premium snacks did not take the complimentary alcohol. I did fly the 767-400 domestic in economy and was not comfortable for the seat

well here's the thing, for the flight to ATL, it appeared you were on an older aircraft, while Delta has begun upgrading there A320's. though I must say I've had similar experiences with United and Delta whereas on United I had a 14-hour flight the Entertainment screens were worse than a six-hour flight. but I've also had fantastic experiences with both United and Delta.

I flew on Delta from Minneapolis to Honolulu on a a330 and back on a 767-400. The difference is crazy. The a330 was super new and comfortable but the 767-400 was old and uncomfortable. Definitely go for the a330 or 777 over the 767 on Delta.

I think you got a little unlucky with the 767-400ER on the Lima-JFK route because I have flown them several times on their A330, 767-300ER, and 777-200LR, all of which offer products leaps and bounds ahead of those offered by United and American on their long haul flights. Better seats, IFE, service... overall, it always felt like a better experience than the other two. Not to mention that Delta's in the process of retrofitting their 767-400ERs. You should give them another shot sometime on a European leg!

Thanks for your third 'larger US carriers Economy' report. They all seemed pretty good, though frequently not well organized with boarding, seating etc. Not much improved from my experience of them over the years. I guess for a lot of their customers the thing that keeps them loyal to one carrier is frequent flyer programs.

I flew the Delta 767. You are absolutely correct about it. My flight was terrible and the entertainment didn't work for 2 hours of it. You are wrong by saying that there aren't usb ports. There are next to many or most seats. They are far below and between the seats, but if you look for them you can find them. That being said, they don't work during half the flight and on a 7 hour flight, charged my phone 5%. Not great, but for marketing purposes, they are there.

This review surprises me...I fly between London and Boston regularly and find DL really has the best* international economy, granted the flight is almost always on a 763, but a very solid product. To be fair with the price comparison of comfort +, you took the prices from two different markets and compared them. In order to compare correctly, I think you should compare from the exact same market and same routing. Not one leaving the country and another coming back.

Question about the price difference between extra legroom prices. If United only charged $85 and Delta charged $258 there must be a difference in what you get for the price. I haven't looked for myself yet but you tend to get more for your money with Delta from my experience. Correct me if I am wrong.

I think you were unlucky Dan with the 767-400. Having flown Delta’s 767-30ER I can comfortably say that their service is top notch. Regarding the seatbelts sign on until top of climb it’s a standard procedure used in the US, first of all safety of the passengers. Even on clear days during a climb your more likely to encounter turbulence, due to the varying temperatures and changes in wind speed and air pressure. As your in the climb there is also changes in pitch attitude of the plan if you levelled off for some reason during your climb. Remember some people unfortunately will sue the airline if they get injured due to things mentioned above so it’s also a way to protect yourself if seat belt sign is on. Great video as always!

Usually Delta only uses the 767 on "long and skinny" routes; long haul flights with very low demand, like from Portland to Tokyo. If you want to fly on on a better Delta long haul plane, take a popular route like from New York to London

  • @squadsgt4407

Dan. Delta is looking to replace its B767 400's it's 300's are the primary 767. So they don't refurbish them. Once Delta has founded a replacement. Most likely 787 or A330NEO-800 they will phase the 767's out of Delta.

I feel that if you compare Deltas 767s to United or Americans they are still vastly superior. United is still using ancient monitors from the 90s on a lot of theirs and American doesn’t offer seatback monitors on their 767s. In terms of offering a consistent ife product across the board, I still think delta is on top. United and Americans overall hard product fleet wide is inconsistent.

One should mention now that Delta has upgraded its 767-400s... And even earlier its 767-300ER aircraft where much more up to date than their 767-400 aircraft

I MISSED THESE! I LOVE THIS SERIES! I also love delta so I hope they win! I wish the 764 had some better ife but that’s easier said than done. I loved this video and can’t wait to see more, thank you!

I liked that you did this economy week however, I feel it would have been much more useful and consistent were you to have reviewed all three airlines on the same routes (for example: LAX to NYC for the domestic leg and NYC to LHR for the international leg, since all three airlines have a significant presence in those markets). Just a thought for future airline comparisons, as I hope there will be many more!

As someone who has flown United's 767 on a transatlantic route I think the advice really should be : Don't fly the 767! at least on US carrriers.

For The Next Europian Economy Week, I Would Like Tui Vs, Thomas Cook Vs Jet 2 Or Amercian Economy Week Spirit Vs Alligant Vs Frontier

I’m a frequent flyer. I’m would say Delta is the best airlines in US in terms of Economy seats leg room and onboard entertainment system.
    1.Delta
    2.Southwest
    3.AA
4.United(United economy legroom is the worst )

I had a flight last week in Delta's redone A319 in first. I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't think they were doing to install IFE on the A319 but the whole plane was outfitted. I love not having to take out my laptop and just plugging in my headphones into the seat. Their old IFE is TERRIBLE, so I sympathize if you get stuck on a plane that has it. I have no idea why they wouldn't upgrade the much more profitable international birds before domestic.

Used to fly Delta exclusively. I think there product is now very hit or miss. It’s interesting that their flight attendants are on the older side which can be both positive and negative. Overall I prefer American economy over Delta.
I flew Delta premium to from DC to Los Angeles last week and have to say the extra cost was worth it. Delta by the way now owns a portion of Virgin Air and I can say the Virgin Air culture being incorporated into Delta here and there.
    Great review,thanks.

I guess the 3-month trial option for CLEAR is no longer available? I’m interested, but I want to try it before I buy it since I don’t fly a whole bunch and my home airport doesn’t even have CLEAR yet.
Really like the vid! I’ve flown delta a lot recently, and I don’t think Comfort+ is really worth it just for a little extra leg room. I sat comfort+ once from HNL to NRT one way because the price was low AND it was a bulkhead seat after flying to HNL in a seat right in front of the bathroom with super limited recline.

Not even a month after you flew on a Delta 767... I flew on their 767 and it was tight but it looked much more modern. Much better than your experience.

You have to understand the 767 is an old plane, that is why the screens are small

I was considering flying Delta long haul from London to Orlando with a connection, I may have to reconsider now, although I’m sure long haul with them isn’t that bad. Great vid Dan!✈️😆👍
