Mine has journeyed to Australia , travelled 300,000 km and done two laps of the country.. Best 4WD i have ever cruised it can just go anywhere... and has
I own a H2 hummer for years and I use it as my daily driver, everyone said its “heavy” or “gas guzzler” or its not reliable.. first of all its not heavy comparing it with the new trucks or suvs its equal or the same weight. Second if we hummer owners worried about gas we couldn’t bought it in the first place, third its a GM truck so it means all the parts including the drivetrain and the suspension are from 2500HD’s and its cheap to fix and find parts. So I loved it and I’ll buy another one if i found one clean .
The frame is pretty solid. 1. The interior hood latch DOES work, you gotta use some manpower to close the clamshell (the lock is right in the middle of the firewall). Do NOT pull on the plastic handles..they are for looks..lol 2. The 6.0 will out last, live and low maintenance any turbo-charged 4 cyl.-Remember, the H2 is a large SUV. (any large SUV of those years got the same MPG but its cooler in a H2). Don't invest what you cannot afford to feed :) 3. Rear airbag suspension sucked. Convert it to springs asap. 4. Cramped yes-but not as bad as the Jeep 4 doors. 5. The bed is simply a pool-Add a liner with some ice in the summer (my buddy did it) fkn awesome! The interior plastics/leather suck-they will break. The actual 4x4 system works better than expected. The AC snow flake is the AC button. press it once, AC turns on, press it again it turns off....Get one..they are hella fun and rarer they are..the better they are. Gotta own one instead of borrowing one to understand one.
@@busketshovelproductions7560 I would just like to add that after driving my 4Runner as of lately...the H2 is not "cramped"...lol. I retract that one. Get one, take care of it and you will be happy. I took mine to the beach and the sand was pretty bad but this H2 tackled it like nothing, Pulled a Jeep, car and 2500 from stuck sand effortlessly. I wont ever sell mine. Take care.
The hood latch on mine works if I don't pull it I can't open it. The H2 is indeed a tough toy- it has a character that is not like today's boring cars.
Just bought a a h2 sut. One of the many things I love about it is it is a pick up truck that can haul a decent amount with the back seats dropped, but most ppl don't realize that. If u own a pick up u know u always have ppl asking u to haul stuff for them. No one asks me haul stuff because it doesn't have a profile of a pickup.
Bro ... Turbo 4cyl have been making power since the 80s- early 90s. Ford use to have de-tune the turbo Thunderbird so it didn't make more power than the 5.0 Mustangs at the time. Super easy to get that 6.0L LS to get 400-500 HP with bolt-ons and a spicy cam. Also, that LS will last the owner a lifetime of solid reliability than those that push those recycled turbo 4 all day.
I have a H2 and worked a couple little bugs out of it and it’s the best 4x4 I have had in a while. Heated seats ice cold AC and I have mine chipped and did more performance upgrades and it’s nice. Tesla drivers even like it!
After owning this vehicle for 7 years, and purchasing parts... its basically a Silverado in a box... and PS you are totaly wrong, the bonnet/ hood release does work... and the bonnet/ hood cannot be opened without the latch being pulled
So it appears the only tie downs in the cargo area are on the floor? So if they are covered by the cargo, there is no anchor points on the sides or top of the bed sides?
You actually DO need to pull the latch release as long as your hood latch is working. I have one and you have to make sure you close the hood firmly but not slam it. Push both hood handles and it should latch properly. It may be a silly vehicle but no one can argue with you that it’s just plain bad a**. GM said it can do roughly 80% of what the H1 can do, in comfort.
Have the SUV. Never gonna sell it. I love they are under-rated and hated. Makes them cheaper for me to buy. Picked it up in 2018 and it's gone up in value keeping up with some maintenance and customization I've expensed like a paint matched grill and general dechroming. Moved the tire from outside to inside for a more compact cleaner look. 6400 lbs of joy.
Ridiculous? No. Ridiculous is a Ford Raptor and multiple other trucks that go for $100k. You can get one of these with relatively low miles for $25-$40k. Used truck that cheap? Not one with these capabilities.

Awe loved the Hummers! Big, ridiculously heavy and I still want one 🤦🏾♂️
Haha same here man! 😆
Me too lol
The hood latch is supposed to work so your wrong about it being there for looks.
You like the Hummers... but your problem is.. you don't have no money to buy one

I'll show you some cheap ones and super clean But you got to put a down payment for me to get one 😅😅😅 only 2000$ down. The hummer 11k and 15k and 16k
Best car ever made.
My h2 the latch actually does have a purpose to lock the hood and it does work
Hummer is too big in size but still one of the most impressive and unique SUV in the world !!! Thanks for video! Great review!
I agree! Thanks for watching!

I've been looking for obe and watching reviews. Reviews from people have owned one are far different from those that have not is what observed.

My sut might be ridiculous but its so much fun to drive off road!!!
you do have to pull the hood latch, it must be broke.

I love my H2 SUT! I've traded a couple of cars for new vehicles but I've kept my Hummer! Maybe until the Hummer EV!! Maybe! lol

Back than yes now suv's and trucks are big and v8 or v12 but the hummer h2 is a badass 😎

It was either this or or the G wagon. SSSOOO glad I chose the hummer, love it

Mine has plenty of power. If you're hoping for speed and handling you're not llooking for a hummer. I'd guess anyone who owns one loves it too

Good luck finding a clean SUT for under $25k.... if you can get them for 10k, please tell me where.
In mine I do need to pull the trigger to open the hood , maybe that one wasn't completely closed
I had a 2003 and now a 2007. Love them both. Suv.
I've always called them bummers.... With GM replacement parts
I have a taupe 2003 H2 SUV. I cannot find how many were produced for that year. Does anyone know?
You must be a jeep owner
Or a HONDA owner….😂😂😂
We own 2 of them, H2/H3 greatest thing to drive in traffic, rides like a Cadillac, go anywhere you want to go no curb too large up to 16 inches……
Plenty of room power and i hold my bikes scooter and quad in back with tailgate down perfectly
2008-2009 are on a different league than the 2003-2007 ones
I never liked the hummer and i still don't but I completely agree that the car is iconic.
I love it for its ridiculousness haha thanks for watching!
@@SchwayZ whats more ridiculous in hummer than tahoe or silverado?
It’s a Jeep on Steroids❤Had mine for 16yrs but I have the H2 Luxury Adventure edition with air ride that still works perfectly💪

we bought ours in 2004 and still have it and still love it. Your video was obviously one sided which is fine

Same type of truck as a avalanche
The classic Suburban up to the bailout is the best overall American vehicle ever made. ESCURSION 7.3L IS DEBATABLE....

they mixed the Tahoe with the H3, not H2.
I don’t know if he was talking crap about it or if he loved it
I have an 04 and currently it's gutted and being converted to an overlander for 2...and it will hit 120 🤫
Why h2 is more ridiculous than tahoe, avalanche, silverado?
Ain't no gad milage issue a v8 meant to drink and it depend on how you drive
Everyone poo poos the engine it's not a sports car it's a heavy truck. I have a 2016 ford f250 with the 6.2 and it's a pig.
I drive a 2010 Avalanche. They kinda copied the midgate!!
