I don’t think I’ve ever used a pressed powder. Will have to give it a try. Right now I’m using Wet and Wild Photo Focus loose powder and I’m really liking it. I’m 64 and have dry skin.
Hi Melissa, before you even mentioned the Loreal powder, I was going to tell you I bought it after your dupe video and I love it!!! My favorites are Huda and Lunar Beauty, and this one works just as beautifully for me. It's also easier to travel with since it's small. ❤
How do you do it ? Your health problems are really serious but you just keep plugging along no one would ever know. You look great love how you keep us up to date.

In my experience most pressed powders dont set liquid/cream makeup well. Curious to see your picks and why you like them. I usually use LM Ultra blur loose or No7 Perfect Light loose powder and top those with Loreal Infallible powder foundation.
Melissa, great suggestions all around. I HAVE to tell you of my latest find about 6 months ago. You've GOT to try the Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder. It reminds me a LOT of the Kosas Cloud Set pressed powder, but more matte. It's pressed pretty hard in the pan, so you don't pick up too much at once. I ❤LOVE❤ it❣️ It's pretty cheap on the wallet, too. I sure hope you are recovering from your gall bladder surgery. The doctor removed mine when I had the gastric surgery in 1999. He felt it was to prevent stones from rapid weight-loss. Now, knowing what you've gone through, I sure am thankful my surgeon took that precaution. Many BLESSINGS, Sweet Friend. ❤ ya much, Kimber~Your Austin Texas Sister in Beauty & Faith 🥰😘🙏🙏🙏
I just received my powder puff and face primer from a previous video today and love both. It’s 107 and humid out and my face is “ still on”. I love your subtle eye shadow today
I love the physician formula rose all day- it’s a repurchase for me three times over!! Have also repurchased the wet and wild, that price point is a steal!
This is the best video I’ve ever found for powder recommendations, having tried most of these. You could not of made better recommendations.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I am glad you were recommended on my feed. Just subbed and will be binge watching your videos now😂
Just when i said I wasn't buying anymore makeup until I go through what I have... you made me want to try pressed powder. I have always used loose powder but.... gonna try a couple of these now. I always love your recommendations.
Hello Melissa: I would like to know drugstore foundations for dry skin that you like. I trust you. Please write the number of the color too. Tk Beckie from Colombia.

I’m so glad you did this video Melissa! Powders are difficult and try living in Texas where it’s hotter than the sun! Thrilled you gave us lower cost options bc I’m feeding neighborhood strays too! 😂 TYSM!
You have read my mind again!! Ive been on a kick of testing drugstore powders for my dehydrated, mature skin lately. I’ve been using the Colourpop for over a year from your recommendation and love it! You’re the best!! 🥰
Melissa what do you think of the Charlotte Tilbury face oil…I’m watching in bed so I don’t have the bottle with me but it’s the gold oil one. I’ve been using it for 2 days now on top of my Cerave AM/PM moisturizers. At first I was a little eh about it as it felt sticky until I rubbed it in and my face feels amazing and I have not had to put my psoriasis meds on my face.
I did not know that loose powder was more drying. My skin is so dry. I do have a number 7 pressed powder I really like but I think they changed the formula since I purchased it.
Hi Melissa…. I stocked up on the Becca pressed powder, like you did as well. Do you have a dupe for that? I still have 2 left, but I’m planning for the future when it runs out. Love your content Melissa!!! You’re the best!!!❤
Also, I love the physicians formula butter glow powder, mine is in translucent. Omg, so under rated and beautiful. You have to try it if you haven’t already. ❤
I definitely need to try the Butter Gow. I haven't found a dupe for the Becca. Dior was like it but no slight lighting effect. I'm so bummed out about that one.
I tried the prism libre small viola color. Not impressed at all. Pressed I like the cover girl ageless . I have the Charlotte tilbury started with a small one ,blew thru that got a big one blew thru that, it goes fast, I'm on a refill right now and I don't use it that much anymore.
I'm using powder foundation this Summer. I like the E.L.F. Camo one. I also have used the cc nude by It and the pink loose powder by One Size is what I set with. I've bought the mineral one you showed us, the other powder I bought was the pressed 4 color by Moira shade 200. I haven't been super impressed by either. I prefer the One Size. I need to revisit the mineral powder and try it out under my eyes.
@MrsMelissaM I'm slowly coming out of my shell 😂 I was never shy until I was an adult. Go figure! 😂 In all seriousness I really am trying to be more "involved" with all of my subs. It helps so much that I literally adore your channel. ❤
Thank you for addressing the "loose" vs. "pressed" powder debate. I have been using the Physcians Formula Butter Believe It pressed for years now. I'm currently 57 and still oily in the T-zone. I don't use concealer, so under-eyes aren't an issue for me but I love this powder for the blurring and it never looks cakey.
Yeah Prisme Libre is overhyped. I Was perfectly happy with LM Ultra blur but then Niki la rose convinced me. Its so messy, makes me mad😅. Its a good powder but not worth the mess.
Hi Melissa, great finds! I like the No.7 powder for under my eyes and the ELF Halo glow setting powder in pink. But the EHG is a loose powder and you’re right about it being just a touch drier looking.
I LOVE the Elf Halo Glow powder! I tend to reach for it over my Kosas Cloud powder. But, I always use a setting spray to hep the powder sink into the skin!
This is so needed. The Flower products are all fantastic imo, but that powder I do agree with you on. It’s far better than the No 7 everyone calls a dupe to the Charlotte Tilbury. The L’Oréal True Match Super Blendable is a hidden gem I don’t hear many speak about (in the triangular compact, can’t speak on the circular one.)
Rimmel stay matte I s another great powder that doesn’t look like powder on the skin. I have to try that PF Set N Glow like she said. I am tired of paying so much for the Givenchy.
A lifetime of Medical issues. You know i love you so much. Your fam is wonderful your Hubby . Oh the doggies you know me. Lacey xxxx ❤❤❤🐶🐾🐾🦮🐾🐾 Great powders xx
Mineral and baked pressed powders are always the best for mature or dry skin. You really do not need to purchase high end products anymore. The Laura Gellar Balance and Brighten is the only powder I think is unique enough to pay high end for. People were going on and on about the Elf Camo pressed powder and that was heavy and looked like powder on the skin. It also runs real dark and oxidizes. I don’t know why people went bonkers over that. Milani and the L’Oréal powder foundation are far better imo. The LA Girl mineral powder is a gem, imo. Another unique powder, if people want a beautiful smoothing, airbrushed look to the skin without any powdery appearance or “side effects” if you will is the Pacifica Cherry Velvet loose powder- it makes the skin look like a porcelain doll, but the cherry scent is really strong. Another new one is the Physicians Formula Diamond Dust powder, has same effect and appearance- either you can’t go wrong with if you prefer a loose powder, and are dry or mature. It also makes a huge difference using a powder puff with any powder, when you really need to lock down your makeup but keep it looking soft and seamless. Get an even later on the sponge, squish and work the powder into the puff, knock the excess off and then pat over the skin. Finish with a setting mist of it looks a little dry or heavy and you are as good as gold.
@@MrsMelissaMphysicians formula mineral talc free pressed powders are another great option. I’ve not found one yet that doesn’t work really well on my aging skin or when I get dry seasonally but need the powder to lock in my makeup. Great video and wonderful recommendations. Have you done one for loose powders? Powders as I’ve gotten older have become the hardest thing aside from under eye concealer to find that works for me. You’d think it would be pretty simple with so many options, but it really isn’t.😂
I also prefer pressed powders. I love the #7 powder & Huda’s loose powders (I have a few different colors) those are my 2 go to’s. I also have to mention the Laura Mercier translucent loose powder. I use that one (and the Huda’s a lot for all over finishing and the #7 pressed for my under eyes.
Melissa, which one of those powder recommendations are your “most favorite” on your skin type? It sounds like my skin is similar to yours. That saying at the end is hilarious! 😆
THANK YOU so much for putting out some powders for our mature skin. I'm still oily at age 59, and desperately need a powder, yet it can settle in under my eyes and in my crepey areas. Would the LA powder be ok on oily skin do you think?
Informative video and always learn something new Use neutral loose powder to set my foundation in the morning and neutral compressed powder for touch ups during the day/night Apply the powder with a piece of cotton wooI that Ichange daily Thank u Melissa
I bought the Prism Libre powder and I bought a small one just to try it out and it doesn't like to come out! I love the Colourpop! Great suggestions! I always set my undereyes with ITs
L'Oreal has a powder foundation that package says it's just their powder but not a foundation and I think Alta is listing it under Foundation but that's not what it's supposed to be
The best powder I've EVER USED was the Light Shifter powder from Becca, and we all know what happened there. I sure was hoping Smashbox would pick it up and continue making it, but no. I'm so disappointed. There is NOTHING on the market that's exactly like it. 😢
What do you think of the O/S loose powder? I’m assuming you get PR from high end will you ever show us and let us know your thoughts? Look beautiful as always! Do you ever look bad??? I doubt it. Love you! Hugs and prayers to you and your family! ❤❤❤
Hi Penny. I love it & have had it in 2 videos this month. The most recent was the dupes video. I don't get much PR from high end. I mostly get skincare.
Hi Melissa! I am buying the drawers, and I even found a tall cabinet for my bathroom. Thank you so much! I love them. Next, I need the acrylic pieces for my everyday makeup, most used skincare! I will be on the lookout for Physician's Formula powder. I do like their Rosewater line, having tried a few things already. You are on fire, Melissa🔥
I love the No. 7 Lift and Luminate press powder as a dupe for the CT airbrush flawless powder. I love the Givenchy prism libre and am willing to spend the money. Have a beautiful day ❤
Hi Melissa I’m super fussy with powder due to being extremely dry skinned, but I like just a little in the t zone to blur pores and set my makeup (a tiny bit in the colder months and just a little bit more in the warmer months). I just finished an Hourglass ambient powder but it lasted me thirty months (it’s ouch initially but lasted me two and a half years, so I think it is really worth the money for me). Wanting a bit of a change I bought the lavender powder from Dior (I love a truly lavender shade on my ultra pale cool toned skin). I use a wispy brush to apply it and it doesn’t look dry/cakey. Once again I only use a tiny amount so I expect it to last for ages 😂. It has the same tiny bit of glow as the ambient light but it’s loose rather than baked. I don’t find either drying however I am very light handed with them. I find pressed powder has more obvious powder particles due to the binding agents used and I found the CT quite heavy on my skin (I gave it away). I need mine to be super super finely milled and almost cloud like. The by Terry loose only works in the Summer as it is too drying for colder weather. I have tried some powders from more affordable brands and ended up giving them away eg No7, Essence sensitive and Elf halo. They just looked dry and heavy even though I used a tiny amount. For me it’s worth spending the higher amount as it lasts me for such a long time period (this makes the cost per use really low). Get a sample or get it applied to your skin a couple of times prior to investing in a more expensive product and then decide if it’s worth it to you. I save up for more expensive makeup as I don’t have a large budget either. Best wishes x
❤❤❤ your videos as always! Thank you for all the great info you provide for us!! Any way you could provide the link for the cute purse on the shelf behind you? I don’t see it in the Amazon storefronts, but I could be missing it😂
Thank you Melissa for sharing your drugstore options for powder products, I’ve tried so many on my mature skin over the years and just about every one of them made my makeup look like a creepy hot mess, especially under my eyes, even the iconic CT one, it was probably the worst of all of them, until I tried Nikkia Joy’s powder products and finally I’ve found one that works for my skin, it doesn’t crease under my eyes and I’ve repurposed it many times and I’ve just ordered her new brightening powder to try, her primer is also one of the best I’ve tried for mature skin and I can wear it with a little powder for a no makeup day, just thought I’d share what I use on my 64 year old mature skin. Hope you’re having a lovely week and your health is keeping you well. Cheers from Nellie xoxo ❤️❤️
Hi Melissa, thank you for a wonderful video on pressed powders. I have 3 maybe 4 of those shown and they are as great as you say. I love your dress and it is perfect for summer. You look great and I hope you are feeling the same. Be well my friend and we love you too.❤💜💜💜
If you're in doubt, try sticking with Translucent. If you're fair to medium skin with neutral or cool undertones, the pink is great. Also, if there are a lot of colors to choose from, pick based on how you pick your foundation. Cool, neutral, Warm & light, medium, dark etc.
Thank you Melissa great products at great prices. I will be trying some of them. I learn so much from your reviews. You look beautiful in this dress. I wear a lot of dresses in the summer as it gets so hot. They are easy to dress up or dress down and light weight. 🙏🌴
😫😫😫I’m soooo mad! I love that dress and found it but it’s Maxi😡why do I have to be soooo short?? Ugh! Looks gorgeous on you❤. Anyways great video as always 💕💕🤣🤣

Something I’ve noticed on myself being that I love to do a bit of contour & bronzing is the volume loss in my temple area 🤪 I did happen to notice in this video that unless it’s the way the camera is picking up 🤷♀️ bronzing or contouring said area can enhance that on you as well , ( I really hope you don’t mind my saying so, just being a gf 🥰), & just wondering if you know of any other tips aside from the lighter concealer I already use in this area??

This is the only time I like a loose powder. I usually use Chanel loose powder but any loose you like.
Hi Melissa , I’m Paula. Do you think Bare minerals powder makeup products are aging ? Thanks
Hi Paula. I think it depends on your skin type. If you're combo/oily, I would sat no. For me being drier than dry, it's aging on me.
Thank you I enjoy your videos very much.
In my experience most pressed powders dont set liquid/cream makeup well. Curious to see your picks and why you like them. I usually use LM Ultra blur loose or No7 Perfect Light loose powder and top those with Loreal Infallible powder foundation.

L'Oreal has a powder foundation that package says it's just their powder but not a foundation and I think Alta is listing it under Foundation but that's not what it's supposed to be
Thanks for sharing these. I rarely use a loose powder.
I'm immensely grateful for you !
Love the tips and tricks😂. These powders look so nice. You look amazing ❤
I love the Glamnetic Nails from Amazon.
Great video idea! Have you tried the By Terry Hyaluronic Pressed Powder?
What do you think of it?
@@pennylynn1998 I’ve only used it a couple times. It took down the shine from sunscreen.
💖💖 love the dress!!!❤❤
Thank you Stefania!
Great video helped me out alot gonna pick up the la colors, wet n wild and loreal powders!
The Colourpop is my absolute favorite. Bought it several times.
I LOVE powder! I maybe shouldn't at 58. My favorite setting powder is Wet and WIld Photo Focus.
Thanks for sharing Kim!! Nothing wrong with loving it
The best powder I've EVER USED was the Light Shifter powder from Becca, and we all know what happened there. I sure was hoping Smashbox would pick it up and continue making it, but no. I'm so disappointed. There is NOTHING on the market that's exactly like it. 😢
Yep! I loved that one too. Gorgeous!
It is .. I’ll be 50 this year.. as long as I use sunscreen under.. I’m good
What do you think of the O/S loose powder? I’m assuming you get PR from high end will you ever show us and let us know your thoughts?
Look beautiful as always! Do you ever look bad??? I doubt it. Love you! Hugs and prayers to you and your family! ❤❤❤
Hi Penny. I love it & have had it in 2 videos this month. The most recent was the dupes video. I don't get much PR from high end. I mostly get skincare.
I loved Uomas hydro last- I can’t find a dupe. I love ELFs powder, especially the HD halo glue loose powder, in pink or light.
Thanks for sharing your favorites!
Wonderful! I'm excited for you to get the drawers. Great storage!
I love the No. 7 Lift and Luminate press powder as a dupe for the CT airbrush flawless powder. I love the Givenchy prism libre and am willing to spend the money. Have a beautiful day ❤
I can't believe I forgot about putting the No7 in thins video! I love that stuff! Thanks for the reminder Carol 🧡
Thanks for sharing your recommendations Loraine. Hope you're having a great day!
❤❤❤ your videos as always! Thank you for all the great info you provide for us!! Any way you could provide the link for the cute purse on the shelf behind you? I don’t see it in the Amazon storefronts, but I could be missing it😂
Here's that for you my dear

Oh wow! I'm going to have to give it a shot! Thank you!
Thank you. I love that your choices aren't always these ultra expensive picks that I cannot afford. Lol
Glad you like them ❤️
Hi Melissa, thank you for a wonderful video on pressed powders. I have 3 maybe 4 of those shown and they are as great as you say. I love your dress and it is perfect for summer. You look great and I hope you are feeling the same. Be well my friend and we love you too.❤💜💜💜
Thanks so much sweet Alice 💗
I love the affordable options! I’ve tried the Flower powder and it’s amazing. Thank you for another great video!
So glad!
Hi Melissa
Any ideas on how to pick the correct powder for your skin color?
If you're in doubt, try sticking with Translucent. If you're fair to medium skin with neutral or cool undertones, the pink is great. Also, if there are a lot of colors to choose from, pick based on how you pick your foundation. Cool, neutral, Warm & light, medium, dark etc.
@@MrsMelissaM which ones had the pink? The physicians formula ?
Yes it has a rose shade
@@MrsMelissaM do you think that’s the best I’m not fair but light skin.
Love you much! I am liking the Honest beauty loose, Who knew it was so good? 63 year old skin here!
I just ordered it Donna. Thank you!
My fave is e,l,f, HD powder but, at 60+ I still have oily skin and I dont put it under my eyes
Thanks for sharing that Celeste.
Thank you Melissa great products at great prices. I will be trying some of them. I learn so much from your reviews. You look beautiful in this dress. I wear a lot of dresses in the summer as it gets so hot. They are easy to dress up or dress down and light weight. 🙏🌴
Glad you like them Patty.
The Wet and Wild and the Physicians Formula are the only ones without talc which is very drying on mature dry skin
Very true, it can be.
Thanks Melissa !! Great alternatives and money saved 🤗❤️
You are so welcome!
Great video , I would add to this list NYX hd pressed powder and miora pressed powder.
Thanks for sharing Tami 💜
😫😫😫I’m soooo mad! I love that dress and found it but it’s Maxi😡why do I have to be soooo short?? Ugh! Looks gorgeous on you❤. Anyways great video as always 💕💕🤣🤣
Sorry! My sister is short too & can't wear my hand me down dresses or pants!

Thank you. We're at 92 today. Not too bad.
The quote 😂
Glad you got a giggle!
Oh Melissa such good suggestions. And especially for this summer with this heat. Thank you and sending you so much love 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
Same to you darling girl!
I'm not looking for a per se and under eye powder because I do not wear concealer would you consider any of these for an all-over face powder
They absolutely would be great for setting. The physicians formula is more of a finishing powder though, so it may be too glowy for actual setting.
@@MrsMelissaM okay perfect I'm thinking of trying maybe the L'Oreal to start with thanks for all the tips I just appreciate them so much and God bless you and your family
