Just a note about the 'world premiere'. The complete uncut version was shown on British TV in 1980. That's two years before NBC aired it in the USA. Just thought I'd mention it.
30:08 - KOA-TV Promo modeled after GE commercials. After all, GE DID own Channel 4 (became KCNC in 1983) before GE bought NBC, which made Channel 4 an NBC O&O (now it's a CBS O&O).
For the commercial for the Kotex Pantiliners... Really? She gives all that information and ends it by saying "You see mom, you really do learn something at college." Well I've no doubt that mom probably could have told you that at home and saved however many thousands of dollars she spent sending you there, just to learn about pantiliners. 😬
I love 1982!!! Thank you!!! I'm a twelve year old all over again.
The Kodak disc camera. Loved it
Godfathers pizza omg yummy in the days especially their deep dish pizzas they used to have.
2:24 Hostess snack cakes and fruit pies 1982 commercial. I love eating Hostess snack cakes and fruit pies because they are really good.

11:28 NBC News update with Marvin Kalb
24:31 - Taster's Choice - The Marie Antoinette costume is by Bob Mackie, and was worn on "The Carol Burnett Show" in the Cole Porter mini-musical.

I follow jingles (and station ownership) and I had *completely* missed out on this til now. :-)
Never knew GE had a name-brand TV division.
14:42 the unmistakable voice of Ralph Bell for Dover Farms.
4:56 Peggy Taylor and then Casey Kasem on the NBC promos.
Don't forget Howard Rieg for the NBC news breaks.
@@mikejohnson515 Good call on Howard Reig -- another great NBC staff announcer.
Taken from KOA-TV (now KCNC-TV) channel 4, the former NBC affiliate in Denver, CO (now CBS).
They *let go* of a three-letter callsign??
Every teenager in America (including myself) knew who Journey was.
