I picked up Tales of Gunslinger hoping it would be a good jump on point to get to know the character and I was not disappointed! I absolutely loved this issue and look forward to continuing the series
Big Bird Barda! Haha! I love it. Agree on Adams. I get the feeling he's actually read a lot of comics featuring the characters he writes, which is how he's able to nail the voices of those characters so well. He's already DC's best writer in my opinion, with no disclaimers. Glad to hear the new "Gunslinger" book has gotten off to a great start. Can't wait to read that one! Thanks, Slayer.
Challengers of the Unknown were created in the Silver Age, drawn by Jack Kirby, and is considered the prototype of the Fantastic Four . It came before the Fantastic Four.
Just a quick mention about a book you previously dropped, Eye Lie Popeye must have listened to the criticism on the lettering being so small because in issues 2 & 3 the lettering is much bigger and easier to read. Very glad I stuck with it because the art and action is fantastic!
I am very excited for Hellverine, as I have been keeping up with the character. I would eventually like to se a red band of one of his stories to bring more gore and violence. Also, I think you sold me on picking up the new gunslinger. I currently read spawn and the scorched.
That makes me so happy that my main man Gunslinger was off to a good start! I finally am caught up on my books so I have so heavy reading to do! Enjoy the week & much ❤
FYI. Challengers of the Unknown is a silver age DC that was never the biggest title. This run is the 5th volume. Volume 1 issue 1 was released in May 1958.
I think Hellverine did do a good job with the character and how it’s going to go, I think the thing that makes it mid is the art. If the art was a little different I think Hellverine would be considered worthy. I’ll still be picking the series up.
Im a long time marvel fan, but been getting in DC a lot the past few years. JLU and JSA are challenging enough for a relatively new DC fan. (I know nothing about the JSA, but its Jeff Lemire!) So I'm thinking no to New Gods.
I watch a lot of comic review shows and nobody talkes about freddie the fix it was awesome from Garth ennis. And I tought that you would be a fan of this type of comic? Maybe a good tip for you to check it out from image. It’s great and I’m really curious for the rest of ninth circle. Anyway keep up the good work I watch everything greetings from the Netherlands

Green Arrow Green Lantern was so much fun!
I agree with you. I liked the character but didn’t believe we needed another series of it.
