The most under rated band ever. The bass hit harder then life. The guitar was original over originality. The vocals n drums were just as addictive as hope n desire for life
Jorge Penzo one of the djs in my local rock club used to work in the towns record store to and used to get all the releases earlier than usual through promos. Anyway he got so fed up with me asking him about when this was going to be released that he sold me promo copy for a fiver. Still got it today and still loving the band today.
Hearing their song in that Twisted Metal 4 intro is what got my attention. And the first song on this album is what instantly got me into them and to buy their albums.
As time goes by, gold just keeps piling on it. Gold doesn't stick to new music because it's all so rotten and slimy that it instantly slides off. This, on the other hand, simply does not age. Thanks, Generation X. You were the best.
I feel at odds because I am Christian but this song.. Ugghh!!! This is like.. What ive yelled in my moments of doubt. Even as a believer I relate .. That's a perfect song.
they were great in my opinion they were very influencial, there 3 albums were all great....just not alot of people had heard them cause they were from the UK......great band, i still listin to there music.
Super specific memory of this. I’m 19. It’s 4:00AM. Year: 2000. All my friends have gone to sleep in a smallish 2-floor apartment. I’m playing Homeworld on PC while Mtv2 buzzes away. This video catches my eye/ear. Take a drag of a menthol as the first chorus hits. Brace for the breakdown. It doesn’t help. End of the song breaks me. I dream of this song and video every night until I buy the album. Tragically the band remains obscure. To this day I’m still impressed.
Holy shit this was a blast from the past!!! Saw these lads destroy at xtreme fest in the rds in 2002 with raging speed horn, dukes of nothing and motorhead. Heavy as hell for the time. Love it.
@@alycestapleton Well, they're considered rap metal too. And the vocalist had a very gangsta look in the 90s. Never seen a nu metalhead look so much like a typical rapper, heh. Really loving this bleached hair look here, though.
Like others have noted....it's too bad these guys aren't around anymore. I saw them for the first time back in the '90's when they opened for Biohazard at a show in Toronto. I'd never heard of them before that show and I became and instant fan. Their live show was simply amazing......they blew everybody off the stage that night. Easily one of the best live bands I've ever seen play in the 20+ years I've been going to shows
Met these guys at a movie theater in wv when me n my friends were. They were super cool invited us on the tour bus after the movie and kept their word. Gave us a bunch of merch and played guitar with us. Great time, we had never heard of them prior but they passed through on tour.
I saw these live a couple of times years ago, after one show in a club called TJs I met Yap the vocalist who was a bloody nice guy. I’ve still got his autograph somewhere.
Hells yeah I love thsi song. i remmeber getting a demo of them befor ethey came out becasue my dad worked at a record store and he let me check everything out snd I was like sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet
Jesus wept!!! This takes me back to when I was 15-16 years old. Fuckin amazin' song. p1neconeboy you're right when you say they were one of the most underrated bands of their time.
Jhung Kong Your brain is non-functional. How do you know im racist? This fucking moronic new generation can assume by making a statement towards one person they can determine your exact emotional feelings towards an entire race -and its always that your racist. Here you are making up fucking accusations and labeling people just like a fucking racist would you moron. Your a real piece of crap Jhung Slope Fish Kong
Luckily i Got to see these guys headlining with mudvayne supporting i believe in 2000 at the London astoria, My first ever metal gig and then in 2002 supporting slipknot at the London 02 :) good times and never forgotten
oh yeah! me too! loved that song since ECW game! great memories. My dub ass thought it was Goldust singing it without his makeup. I had no internet back then too.
@embiqioused I was with you even if it was at a different town/venue. Kitt's Korner in Madison Wisconsin 2000... Tiny venue crammed full with madness. OMS, still to this day, has been the highest energy producing, mosh pit inducing, physical limit abusing band I have ever seen. The drummer had more presence and influence on the crowd than any big name front man I ever experienced.
@NemesisNejRocks couldnt agree more! back than I was actually ashamed to admit that some of those songs I liked (not many of them, though). now, as the whole media pressure is off it makes a completely different kind of impression
does anybody have a link or something for one of their songs called "spoonful of sugar"? i cant find it in youtube... or at least a way to find it (except buing the album!:p)
Great song. I think the hidden message in this is just as much for extremist atheists as it is for religious extremists. Whilst having faith is good, and wishing other people to experience the same confidence and euphoria faith gives is just as admirable, it's absolutely important to remember there is a line in the sand where a person's faith (or cynicism, in retrospect) transforms into just being an excuse to be obnoxious and rude to others.
They broke up around 2003 to do other musical projects. They were going for a good 10 years and released 3 amazing albums so they had a good run. Still, R.I.P OMS
Anyone listening in 2021? Man Eddie's drum sound is so infectious. The whole damn band was so talented. Deserved to be bigger.
💯
2022 ☝🏻
2022
June 2022 insane this was 20 year ago
Here in 2022 brother 🤘🤘🤘
The most under rated band ever. The bass hit harder then life. The guitar was original over originality. The vocals n drums were just as addictive as hope n desire for life
Συμφωνώ απόλυτα μαζί σου είναι τοπ
If you're still listening to this masterpiece, you have a good taste in music. 💞
🤘
2024 and still looking for something that sounds as different and rocks anywhere near as hard as this.
This album, their best in my opinion, is a jewel. 2023 and it sounds still fresh.
Senior year of High school, when music still rocked.
That breakdown...gets me EVERY time
One of the best nu metal breakdown
Completely agree. So badass!!!
Buy Now...Saved later. this album is fuckin' good and underrated too.

Yes sir.....i agree 1000% on this one....so damn good
Hearing their song in that Twisted Metal 4 intro is what got my attention. And the first song on this album is what instantly got me into them and to buy their albums.
a bit of tool + rage against the machine + the agressiveness of the first korn deftones or limp bizkit.. this was pure gold back in the day..
still is
Amen

For those curious. The opening first notes of this song is played in the "Press Start" screen of the ECW Anarchy Rulz video game.
I used to listen to this on the school bus... on a CD!!!!! Remember those?
MickyAvStickyHands i had one when they first came out lol
Your comment is old 😂
2024...listened everyday on the way to school!
I feel at odds because I am Christian but this song.. Ugghh!!! This is like.. What ive yelled in my moments of doubt. Even as a believer I relate .. That's a perfect song.
If you never question your faith, you're a drone.
they were great in my opinion they were very influencial, there 3 albums were all great....just not alot of people had heard them cause they were from the UK......great band, i still listin to there music.
Still jamming this tune every Sunday in 2019.

I remember seeing this on MTV X all the time, underrated band for sure

Heavy as hell for the time.
Love it.
Ha ha I was there too... these lads popped into my head randomly today. Looked them up and here I am writing a comment in 2022....
I haven't listened to this in a long time. Still tops for me

One of the 1st bands I ever saw live. The line up was Kitty, One Minute Silence and Slipknot. Damn fucking good first time gig experience.
One of the greatest songs EVER!!!!
Like others have noted....it's too bad these guys aren't around anymore. I saw them for the first time back in the '90's when they opened for Biohazard at a show in Toronto. Met these guys at a movie theater in wv when me n my friends were. They were super cool invited us on the tour bus after the movie and kept their word. Gave us a bunch of merch and played guitar with us. Great time, we had never heard of them prior but they passed through on tour.
Great tune, this band has so much GROOOVE!
I saw these live a couple of times years ago, after one show in a club called TJs I met Yap the vocalist who was a bloody nice guy. I’ve still got his autograph somewhere.
Fantastic band! One of the few bands that meld metal and hip hop
Galvanized my youth. Overpower music still now
Excellent rhythm and excellent music, i got this record and it's very very well made. OMS rocks!!!! They are separated now aren't they???
22 year ago and still awesome. 🤙
Well yeah, good music doesn't stop being "good". 22 years is nothing.
i LURRRVE One minute silence, i don't get why hardly anyone's even heard of them.
A metal head I met on the train suggested this to me... I'm so glad he did :D
I had never heard of this band until a few minutes ago a guy called corvette Ben found a tape of them in a camaro sitting since 2000
OMFG! This is awesome! Heard it something like 8 years ago? I lost the cd i had with this track on!
Great song
Hells yeah I love thsi song. i remmeber getting a demo of them befor ethey came out becasue my dad worked at a record store and he let me check everything out snd I was like sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

Thank you OMS
they remind me of a mix between tool and rage against the machine, which is a very odd mix, but it works so well, and is something new!
I was wondering how i recognized the opening riff then realised it was used in the ECW anarchy rulez game
oh yeah! me too! loved that song since ECW game! great memories. My dub ass thought it was Goldust singing it without his makeup. I had no internet back then too.
Bleached hair always adds to the nostalgia whenever you look at something from the 90s or early 2000s. And honestly, it's a great look.
Great song.
Proper music
