I appreciate that
Absolutely agree 100%! Great information regarding pens and great positive affirmations and messages at the end of every review. Completely unique in terms of pen reviews and reviewers! Keep it up…we appreciate and need it!
I've just ordered one of these from Ali express, I've just got a month to wait for it now 😁 I spotted it yesterday on Ali and loved the look of it. Your review sealed the deal. Thanks for another great review 😘
Another great review, many thanks. A really nice looking pen which has now been added to my wish list.
I’ve already ordered one and happy to see your review(as always)!
Hope you enjoy it!
I like pens, and I like heavy metal, but I don’t like heavy metal pens. Thanks for the review.
A friend has one of these. I believe the grip section has a thin resin coating on it.
Section has same lacquer coating as all brass parts. Not resin.
Wow. Nice pen! And, weight is more of a plus than a problem for me. One of my favvorite pens is an ensso Italia Copper. Solid copper makes it pretty heavy, and I love writing with it. I also love a piston filler with interesting cap and works, and a demonstrator barrel -- and don't want to spring for a Visconti. Hmmm! Thanks, Chris.
Ha - I bought one yesterday and here's your review! Like I NEED another pen LOL. Thanks for the review.
Now you have expectations for the pen. Hope you enjoy it.
I like pens the size of Opus 88 Jazz and Pelikan M800. I think my heaviest pen is a Jinhao 159. This might work for me. Thanks for your review.
Good looking pen
Definitely a nice pen!
I like this pen. I have the P20 which I have found to be an excellent pen. So, it seems that Asvine is continuing its consistent quality. I will have to add it to my 2023 list of pens to get.
I understand Asvine started as a parts manufacturer for other Chinese companies. It is great that they have stepped up to make their own pens.
Totally agree
So is esybuy a distributor/reseller AND a manufacturer of parts?
@@buck-pucker I do not know if Asvine is still a manufacturer or not. Let's say that some of the parts are similar to Wing Sung and PenBBS. As to who made them, I do not know
@@paulmchugh1430 I was under the impression that Majohn and Asvine share an OEM. But it seems like parts come from everywhere. Esybuy = Asvine, so this is a case of resellers sourcing their owns supply
Yes, they are both. Others sell Asvine so not exclusive to esybuy.
Thanks, good looking pen!
I wonder how prone the transparent barrel to scratches is, though.
I have not had an issue with scratches on the Asvines. I mostly keep my pens on my desk.
I don't know if I got a lemon. Mine leaks A LOT. Seriously, I wrote a few pages, no more than 8, preparing a lesson, and I got at least 5 drops of ink (big drops) onto the pages. And each time I was hoing to use it, there would be a large amount of ink inside the cap. It got empty withi 3 days. Any suggestions how to fix it?
For ink to leak out air must leak in. Is nib assemble screwed all the way in? If so, unscrew, check o-ring, silicone o-ring & threads, screw in. I don't see air getting past piston so I would look at nib end.
Does it take Standrd Jowo nib and housing? Or at least just the nib with the Asvine’s feed. Thanks!
No, uses Monnman nib housing but will take No. 6 nibs.
Is the nib unit similar to a number 6 jowo nib unit?
Similar yes, the same no.
Can you swap the nib on this? Just pull it from the feed???
Yes friction fit. Uses Moonman nib assembly.
Hi, Chris, Do you think the Asvine nip can be replaced with the Bock #6 nip? Just curious. .
I haven't tried that. Doddlebud did.ua-cam.com/video/tcUH_v3gZBI/v-deo.htmlsi=4lJ47yNXZj8CbWUU
Hi, Chris, Thank you a lot for your prompt feedback. I got it.
thank you again !
Awesome. I've been wondering about this one too
Nice thorough review with great comparisons! I’d like to see this offered with an opaque barrel and a thin ink window.
awesome!! I kneeew your review would be totally sweet! 👑👑👑 im definitely getting one of these babys!
You should reconsider. Not a pen I can see for drawing. But then I'm no artist.
@@chrisrap52 definitely not for the fine detail, but i use my T1 brass for all my heavy outlining. i love that pen. i have an FPR 1.0 stub on it. also, i cant resist that antiqued brass. imma sucker for it. 😍
@@deanandreoli1975 I find heavier pens helps me control my hand better for finer details since I don't grip the pen as hard.
Especially if the pen tends to be more nib side heavy and it naturally points down.
@@eugenborcan Have you tried the brass T1? I think you'd love the feel of it.
@@deanandreoli1975 Yep, the T1 brass is really nice!
Hello there. ¿What's that colour of that ink?.
I show the bottle & write out ink name in the first writing. Birmingham Mud Puddle.
@@chrisrap52 Thanks Chris.. 👍👍🇪🇸🇪🇸

Ink leaking out means air leaking in. Is the nib assembly fully seated, screwed in? I might unscrew & coat threads & o-rings with silicone grease. I can't imagine the piston not sealing. So that points to the nib end. Good luck, the pen should work well.
@@chrisrap52 Thanks a bunch. First, I think you are right on several points. I was unable to unscrew the piston piece, I do not have the right tool, and the TWSBI Eco's plastic wrench proved to be useless for this pen. But I was able to unscrew the nib-feed unit, the silicon ring looked to be fine, so, I applied silicon grease around the piece and screwed it back in, inked the pen, and seems to be working fine. I have carried the pen on my pant pocket all day long (nothing else in the pocket to avoid scratches and the like), and I have checked every couple of hours or so for any further leak, and I have found none. I hope that was all I needed to do. Thanks again.
TWSBI & Pelikan pistons are 7.0mm. Most Chinese pistons are 7.4mm. Glad you fixed the leaking. Enjoy the pen.
