My main concern is why is MS doing this. Why do we need to export to excel for deeper analysis ? :-) Why dont they let us do it all inside of Project itself ? Or why dont let pivot tables get exported for PQ or PBI ?
Thank you very much for the topic. I do like you, export to PQ and use PBI. For some projects in the construction and mechanical engineering sector I also export to other systems. This is to work in hybrid project management environment where lean or agile methods are used. As why Ms is not integrating with PQ or PBI I don't know. In which domain are you? Have a great day.
@@vision6D I first make all possible reports inside Project, about 75 % od completion, because I want to make it smaller and faster but because we need larger formulas PQ and PBI are a must. Doing export with CUBE ( all data ) think is better but its a mess when you open CUBE and try to separate data which you need and which you dont. Also there is " star schema " probs :-) Need also time for complete CUBE to PBI integration.
