They've improved the Mini Evo and it now produces much better pictures. I find it best to shoot at -1/3 exposure and print slightly brighter, that gives very good exposed pictures. Also shooting in vivid mode makes the pictures a lot more punchy and vibrant but look at the screen and adjust the exposure accordingly, that's the one big advantage the Evo has over all other Instax cameras, you can see what you're getting before pressing the shutter and if in doubt take several shots and pick out the best. Saves frustration and film because you can get a near perfect print almost every time. You can also take night shots with the EVO, other ibstax camera can only be uses in bright light.
Hi, do you know if its possible to get the same kind of green/vintage look with the evo as with the mini 12 does ? I just got an evo bc its much smaller but I don’t manage to get that OG look
Thanks for another interesting video. You noted in several of the examples shortcomings in the Mini EVO exposures. Were all these photos taken at default settings? Could you have achieved better results by using the adjustable features on the EVO before or after exposure but before printing? Perhaps that would detract from the charm of the instant camera experience, but would yield better results and is seemingly a big advantage of the EVO over the Mini 12.
Very helpful. Wow, the Mini 12 photos really just highlight the simplicity and 80s/90s nostalgia for me. I think I prefer it for the instant printouts. But I really love the retro look of the Evo & that you can take pictures, save them, or try altering it before printing. And it seems to do better shots outside but still feel “Polaroid”ish. Ugh, I keep going back & forth. Maybe I’ll just get both 😑
If you force the flash on your iphone for indoor portraits, does that create an image closer to the images you get from the Instax Mini 12? That retro-flash look is definitely one of reasons to shoot instax film. I like the idea of the Mini EVO or a Link (let's you pick your shots rather than waste film), but would want to preserve the retro look if possible.
Hi, I bought new instax mini 11 few days ago and I tried to capture picture thru but its film coming out in contrast / black & white colour and not in natural colour. Even though i tried in natural sunlight and indoor light. Can you please help me with this or suggest any trick ?
I love my mini evo. I've had it for over a year. I used to use the mini but the mini had its issues. You cannot pic the photos. So when you take a picture and it comes out bluray thats $1.50 down the drain.
Thanks for your video!! In fact, since 2019 I have been using instax 9 and also bought instax mini link 1 two years ago. Unfortunately, instax 9 has crashed now, so I'm thinking about either buying instax 12 or selling instax mini link and buying a mini evo, I'll wait your advice 😊

Wait did they drop a new mini evo ??
@@mexican_lilmermaiddid they?
They released a new colour and now with USB C charging, but not sure about improved quality. Do you have any details on that?

@@tasniarr I ended up getting both 😆
@@Allaiya.Oh that’s amazing! Do u think the evo still gives the same nostalgia as the instant photos of the mini 12? Which one do u prefer?

Glad I could help!

Both the iPhone and the EVO have LED flashes which are not really a typical xenon flash.

Hi! Any idea why instax mini evo does clicking noise? It wont turn on and charge too 😞
At instax mini evo I see you can select the brightness at print
Yes. To a point if the picture is blown out you will not be able to recover the detail.
Which is your all time favourite camera generally?
Thank you
