BIG SHOUT OUT to our good friends Jordan JMS Drums for the AMAZING new intro and David Whitaker, for the crazy awesome motion graphic!

Saiki is a stage General. she can get the crowd to do what ever she want's without saying a word. It's all in the gestures. I love her to bits.
I feel like that type of command of an audience is a gift! Thanks for watching!
Good job. If you're ready for a mind-blowing instrumental, try the official live "Onset" or official "From Now On."
Thank you! I've got those two on my ever-growing list :)
You have no idea what they were doing when they huddled around the drummer😁🤪😜🤣😉
Just to note that when they huddle around the drummer, it's to pull ugly faces to try and put her off. Never works. One of the things to love about this band is how much fun they have, how confident they are in each other, and how supportive they are of each other. I find that whole attitude adds heaps to the enjoyment of their performances and their music.
That's right, it never worked. She's even tricky enough to turn the tables, as can be seen/heard very well in the song 'Play' before, when she had Saiki in front of her. 🤭🤘🏻

Hengao is the term in Japanede for making funny aces
I’ve heard from drummers that they did this during the most difficult drum part in the song.
@@chrisegbertky Thanks, Chris. One of these days the term will stick in my ageing useless single remaining brain cell.
I love that! It's so nice to see bands having fun with their art! Thank you for the comment! Much appreciated!
If you're after more crowd participating try PLAY which is the previous song to DOMINATION in this show.
Yes, Play with it's intense intro which changes from tour to tour.
@@greylocke100 And Akane's revenge on Saiki for all the distraction attempts. 🤭🤘🏻
@@phaeron Should we let him know when to watch/listen for the burble in her voice?
@@greylocke100 This doesn't seem like the worst idea to me, since at most a handful of people have noticed it so far. 🥺🤷🏻♂
If I remember correctly, it's at the 2 minute 30 second mark. 😇
That's the next one on my Band-Maid list! I love the comments and even made a note to pay extra attention at the 2:30 mark :)
Just a friendly info. Just in case. Band-Maid does not copyright any reactions of their official content released in their UA-cam channel. So not obligated to pause if not wanting to.
What that means is that the Ladies and their label won't give you a takedown strike. They will claim the monetization, but they do often share some of it back to the reactor as well. It's only the reactors who are just trying to get clicks and views and begging for money that they have taken down. The Ladies enjoy honest reactions and critiques to their music.
@@greylocke100 what he said 😁
Thanks for that information! I pause to comment because I don't want to miss anything :)
Great reaction. I love the video set up
Excellent! Thank you so much!
MISA plays Lead Bass.... you don't have to react to it but now listen to the music video and you'll hear little guitar parts everywhere you barely hear on this version because they recorded this concert through the speakers and not the board so this is a little "muddied" if you will. Whenever they have a LIVE version of a music video, IMHO it's better listening to the MV first then compare to the LIVE version. Band-Maid LIVE always brings that raw emotion. You absolutely nailed them when you said "no one tries to out play the other".
I will definitely have to check out the MV as well. I love the dynamic of this band as they all work together as a complete unit!
I can see it in your face; you’re becoming a Maidiac! 😵💫 No turning back now, my friend.
My compliments on noticing that they never try to outdo one another. Absolutely intentional “Band Maid Thing.” One of many. Along with never burying the bass in the mix and allowing MISA to do pretty much whatever she wants.
You’ll discover more.
Your song list “to do” is probably growing. I’ll offer these:
“From Now On,” official music video. I think you’re ready. Heavy metal instrumental. Kanami’s guitar 🎸 takes on vocal duties here.
“Play,” official live video. With a full 1:03 intro section with close ups of MISA MISA MISA!
“DICE,” 🎲 official music video. One of my top ten Maid songs. Straightforward rock that includes several signature “Band Maid Things.” How many will you find?
Great, sincere reaction. I’m enjoying your journey right along with you!
(Side note: the new set up is better, you could even increase your screen a bit so we can see your jaw hit the floor on upcoming reactions) 👍🏼
Thank you! I didn't have "From Now On" on my list, but I do now! Thanks for the suggestion on the video format...I'll do that for sure!
Yep, I suggest you go there next :)
Such a fun/great band to see live! Seen them twice now! By far best 2 concerts I've been to!
I suggest these Band Maid songs: Thrill, Dice, Bubble, No God (live), Real Existence (live) & Puzzle (live)
I've heard other people say that too that have seen them play live! That is so cool! Thank you for the suggestions. I have updated my list.
Saiki, the new Stevie Nicks. Total command of that audience! And you can tell they love what they do.
Great comparison! And that's one of the things I'm liking the most is that they love what they're doing :)
The reason they gather around the drums is a little game they play called hengao 変顔 へんがお. Hengao just means Strange Face. They're making funny faces at Akane to make her laugh, to see if they can get her to f*ck up during the hard part. Not a chance. The Beast is banana powered Monster, Half Gorilla & Half Drum Machine. Once she has locked in on Kanami's Backing Track there's no throwing her off! There's a couple of other reasons they call MISA The Barefoot Assassin. She plays a lot of First Person Shooter games like PUBG. There's a video of Miku going to an Airsoft Shooting Gallery saying that MISA will be so impressed by her Shooting Skills. But it's not that she dressed in All Black, though that's a part of it. She has a cleft chin. So the other girls call her The Ass-Chin. They have a video of her cracking an egg on her chin.
That is even more fun! I love it! Thank you so much for the back story!
Thanks Drum Attic! Great song and reaction! Once in generation talent!
Glad you liked it! I agree - once in a generation talent!
This songs a rock and roll roller coaster ride !!
Yes!
MISA the bass player tucks her pick so she can slap giving a different bass line sound in the middle of songs.
That is so cool! Some bass players pick one they like better. I love that Misa has mastered both so she can better serve the song. That is awesome!
Some of their other best live videos are Play, Onset (instrumental), Real Existence, and Choose Me.
Moratorium and Puzzle
@@sugaanessena3143 Yes, absolutely. I was just talking up on their official page. And for some reason, they seemingly went out of their way on the newest Puzzle Live to remove any crowd noise whatsoever.
Thank for the suggestions! I've added them :)
Adde! Thank you!
I love this one 👍
Such a great song and band! Thanks for checking it out!
Mincho (Kanami), who writes most of the music, and consults with the others about their parts, taught Miku how to play the guitar. She either barely played, or not at all, when Miku formed the band. She has continually made Miku's parts more complex, then taught her how to play them. Now Miku is quite an accomplished guitarist.
That's a fantastic bit of information! Thank you for sharing!
@@DrumAttic You will find the Maidiacs both friendly and very helpful that way. Rarely get an nasty comments from the group.
So funny yo watch you glazed over look during the solo's.......this is the tightest rock band I have ever heard....I can't even the amount
of hours that has gone into getting this sound !!!!!
My brain can't process all the awesomeness! LOL
Great reaction video, I’m loving these
Thanks, brother! I'm glad you like them. I'm having a blast doing them!
@@DrumAttic I love you and John!!!!!
"I burned calories just watching all the energy put out on stage" - Nice! This might be the most fun workout ever! At least the most fun workout you can have while wearing pants!

Tomoya's birthday is June 27th!
Good to know! Thank you!
Hey Eric, your reactions are great! and this format is just fine, but let me give you a couple of things to think about since you were asking about the new format. Won't hurt my feelings if you don't use the ideas, they are just for you to decide if it fits you. There are a few videos like YOYOKA and JUNNA (both Drummers) that have insane footwork that you don't want to miss, especially as a drummer. Your format will block most of the drummer foot cams. I helped build Wave Potter's channel (he did all the work, I only gave him some ideas). He went from 3K to 87K subs in 2 years, growing 1K per week for quite a while. 17 Mil views on his channel now. His format is very good. I showed it to "Just Another Reactor", and he liked Wave's format and game up with a variation of it. Here are a couple links to see if these formats suit you. This first one is Wave's. " THIS is Why She's One of the BEST DRUMMERS in the World! | YOYOKA Drum Solo Duo MUSIC EXCHANGE " ua-cam.com/video/gMxg0XTxQug/v-deo.html I give you this specific one intentionally for you to watch the amazing YOYOKA, (13 y.o. Japanese female drummer). 57 Mil views on her channel. Youngest ever (at age 11) to be added to DrummerWorld's Top 500 Drummers of ALL TIME. She has so many accomplishments it's insane. Been on TV dozens of times, played live on stage with Cyndi Lauper and Fallout Boy, on the Ellen show twice, done commercials for Nike, Moncler, Nissan, Roland Drums, Uniglo and others. Received praises from Ian Paice, Dave Grohl, Robert Plant, Chad Smith and tons of other greats! Anyway, you will want to check out her drumming for sure. For reaction, try her solo, she co-wrote, "Sparkling". The next one is "JustAnotherReactor'". Senri Kawaguchi is one of the absolute best Jazz Fusion Drummers in the wolrd. She was the youngest ever (At age 13) on DrummerWorld's Top 500, until YOYOKA bumper her off. ua-cam.com/video/OysCn2r1j24/v-deo.html Like I said, he used Wave's format and tweeked it a bit. He added in his logo and the name of the song and artist's name. In case you haven't caught on, there are dozens of insanely talented drummers coming out of Japan, mostly female. You've already witnessed Akane, and Haruna. Lastly, this is a reaction video, you should pause it whenever you want, and do what you're supposed to "give your reaction". The only thing I suggest is that you back it up 5-10 seconds when you go to re-start it. For people that complain that you pause it, you tell them they should go support the original artist and go to their channel where they can watch the video uninterrupted and let them know "the link to the original video is provided below." Hope this is helpful. Thanks again!
I checked those out and I love that format! I may have to play around some with mine! I agree that it's better to have the video totally unobstructed! I have a couple of Junna's videos in my list. I've added Yoyoka. Thanks so much for sharing!
@glenblack5447 Next week I'll test out the new format! Be sure to let me know what you think!
@@DrumAttic Of course! I wish you the best success!
@@DrumAttic Of course! Very cool! YOYOKA visited Wave Potter in Wisconsin and when she was in Las Vegas, home stayed with me 3-4 times. Such an awesome kid, although she is as well spoken as most adults. Many, many, comment about how awesome and cool their family is. Her mom is a true headbanger and screams "Fuck you, I won't do what you tell me, Motherfucker!" at the top of her lungs in "Killing In The Name Of". I asked her dad if they knew what that meant, and he laughed and said "Oh yeah, the "F" word." We were all shocked because they are such a polite and humble family. When I researched it, I found out that the Japanese just don't put much value on the word, like we ...LOL She plays all genres, I know all her work if you want some suggestions, let me know. She is at her best in the funky ones. One of her nicknames is "The Human Metronome", and she usually wears, what her fans have dubbed "Magic Socks". As a drummer you will be both entertained and amazed. She can listen to a song twice and play it, for the more difficult songs it takes 5-6 listens. Her whole family quit their jobs and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her music career. Thanks for listening!
@@Glen.Black. That is amazing! always open to suggestions too!
I love J-pop👍👍
I'm digging it!
