It's so frustrating that there aren't more female Maidiacs, seems like women love them if they actually see/hear them, especially live cuz of the positive vibes onstage. Although women often seem to be especially attuned to lyrics, so maybe the language barrier is a bit of an issue.

Thank you for continuing to react to Band-Maid. In my opinion one of the best hard rock bands that I've heard in the last 30 years. Band-Maid is a group of extremely talented musicians that have consistently created some of the best rock around. Not to say that there have not been talented women in rock before (Pat Benatar, Joan Jett, Heart, Janis, Suzi Quatro, Vixen, etc) but an all female hard rock band is very rare and at the level that they play at is even more rare.
This Is Band-Maid. This is a regular Band-Maid song. This is how they are. However, rarely do you get 2 songs which are alike. With over 80 songs, 90% is of the same quality. Explore deeper. This is the tip of a huge Iceberg of quality.

Yep. More badass live & it shows in your face: even tho you've seen the band/song before you're even smilier/glowier than last time :) I feel like it's only the lyrical style (esp. little pop bits sprinkled in) that makes them a rock band. Badass and fluid ... I wonder if somebody has already described Band-Maid on stage with better words !!! That's it: they're badass, but as they worked so much to become that good, and as they LOVE what they're doing, it is totally fluid on stage, natural, it seems effortless. Well done!
Band Maid is a band that excels in live performances! Very few mv's are better or even as good as the live shows. Rini,(Reincarnation) is one of the exceptions. All the members are so talented, energetic and just plain awesome! Welcome to the pigeon hole that is Band Maid!

Your reactions to the Maids are always really fucking cool to watch. There are several other Band Maid fans that I'm familiar with both from the reactions I have done and engaging with them in my comment sections, and then others I have met just from watching reactions like yours and talking with them through comment sections. What is not to like about Band Maid?? They have great pop hooks and choruses, they can get as heavy as the heaviest bands out there, and they definitely appeal to musicians because of their outstanding musicianship. Most importantly they look like they are having fun and are grateful and so happy to do what they do. I have never seen a drummer as happy as Akane. Watching them have this much fun performing is infectious.
I agree that their “live” videos are better as there is nothing to distract you from how f…ing great they are! I’ve been listening to rock and metal since the sixties and there has never been another band that has so completely taken over my playlists. “Play” and “Manners/Black Hole” are a couple of my favorites.
To blow your mind, check out Real Existence (MV is good, Live is awesome), ONSET (Live instrumental), Dice (MV), and Moratorium (Live)!

So glad you have made the journey and found Band-Maid! They are one of the best female bands on the planet. You can pick any of the songs from them, I haven't heard a bad song yet. The live performances are amazing as well. I personally really enjoy Blooming official video and Onset live, so I would recommend those. I would also love to see you react to Babymetal Karate official music video. Band-Maid and Babymetal are the best music coming out of Japan in my humble opinion. Band-Maid is rock and Babymetal is metal fusion, different styles but both are freaking awesome. Ty ty

I think what a lot of BAND-MAID reactors miss out on is they don't get to experience the energy and the amazing transitions from song to song.

Band Maid is Truly phenomenal. My only complaint is that you need to come up with better superlatives. More than just f.....g. That does not do them justice. These hundred pound ladies putting out a sound that is usually a bunch of over weight, middle aged men is unbelievable. My hat goes off to them and my rock and roll heart is refreshed.
To be fair, MISA (5'7") and Akane (5'6") are hardly tiny, but Miku (5') and Kanami (5'1") fit your description fairly well. LOL

Russian is richer in this regard, you know, we have more obscene words, and with all the different prepositions, suffixes, and endings, you can basically speak only those words, and be understood very well.
I am not a certified linguist, but I have some practical experience as a professional translator for many years. And I even was trying to write a few essays on this topic, to formulate for myself why people use obscene words. There are many reasons for that, like expressiveness, straightforwardness, emotional colouring, etc. In English it's probably not needed so much, although as a non-native speaker, I can't really judge here. In Russian it makes a critical difference sometimes, you can significantly shorten the time needed to convey your idea. Obscene language is usually more concise and clear.

Iff petrol is expensive you drive smaller cars. You probably don't like little cars but when it is time to buy a car you would not even consider for a second buying a big car because it is simply not the way people live where you are. RUSSIAN people suffered for generation after generation in one way or another and so I'm not surprised that their language has evolved to describe various degrees of both happiness and unhappiness to a greater level of detail. PLEASURE would have been simple and sporadic and tribulation would have varied from systematic ethnic cleansing to hunger or simply boredom from lack of choice or opportunity and quite possibly the need for a certain amount of self censorship while you worked out how safe it was to reveal your true feelings to someone. I don't think this girl is expecting a knock on the door from the secret police. SHE should probably get one from the rudeness police. SIBERIA will fix her language problem.
