I love the idea that the skinny dipping reaper patch from 2010 implies that before that, Sims who drowned while skinny dipping just. Stayed naked. The entire time they're talking to the reaper. Like cAN YOU IMAGINE HOW FUNNY THAT MUST HAVE BEEN???

I'm glad my parents never bothered to look at the sims patch notes before I got the game, or they'd be so confused.
Patch notes are such a weird thing for a parent to find. I can't imagine a world where a parent wants to determine if a game is appropriate for their child so they look up and read the games patch notes. Most parents struggle with attaching a PDF to an email.
When I was a kid my parents almost didn't let me rent Sims: Bustin Out from Blockbuster because they read the back of the box and one of the lots you could visit was described as a "Nudist" place, and I had to hurriedly explain to them that there is no nudity in the game and its all very censored.
They said I could rent it but I wasn't allowed to go to the nudist lot.

The Murphy bed was so lethal that another UA-camr made an entire video where the entire thing was to see who survived the longest with only Murphy beds

These patch notes are great. But none of them will ever beat Stardew Valley's version 1.3.32 "Fixed a Geneva Convention violation" note. Pure gold.
Stardew is still full of Geneva Convention violations though. A friend and I had a lengthy discussion about this while we were playing a while back
They probably just had the medic red cross emblem in their game.
Despite it being such a universal logo, somehow you're not allowed to display it, even in the context if a video game (which is really really dumb).

When you see someone who doesn't know anything about the sims and the sims is basically your childhood
I feel like this would be more entertaining for me if I didn't have 482 hours of game time on the sims 4 and wasn't so used to the game and how ridiculous it is

I’ve only had the sims 4 for about 6 days and I have 100 hrs
I have at least 700 hours each on The Sims 2, 3, and 4, so unfortunately it's not as entertaining for me
I have thousands of hours but also tend to leave it running overnight

I’m terms of an actual explanation for that, the time travel and vacation DLCs were completely separate, so there wasn’t a future version of Egypt, China, or France to travel to. Physical impossibility is probably the only reason that isn’t a glitch though, Sims is broken as shit

I didn't want it.
Tried to drown it, a babysitter showed up and jumped in the pool. The babysitter STOOD ON TOP OF THE WATER AS THE CHILD DROWNED.
Then the child got stuck in an endless cycle of "expire"
Then my game crashed

WHAT THE FUCK..... JUST WHAT THE FUCK WAS YOUR SIM AND THE BABYSITTER DOING?! THAT'S.... OH GOD MY BRAIN
Gotta explain the "certain foods won't affect baby's gender" thing. In The Sims 3 you can affect an unborn child's gender by making the mother either eat at least 3 apples (boy) or 3 watermelons (girl) during pregnancy. I find it a very neat little mechanic: the baby's gender can come as a surprise if you want it, yet if you want the baby to be of specific gender for e.g. storyline purposes, you have got a way to influence that. The patch changed things so that meals MADE out of either fruit won't influence the pregnancy.
Other than that, these patch notes are hilarious.
Fun fact: Laying on your back on a hard flat surface with your legs bent is really very good for your back and actually feels amazing.
This true, the best is to bend them 90 degrees, for example lying on ground with legs on chair or bed.
16:00 Seymour, you need island paradise installed to have houseboats, so they're fixing a bug related to island paradise.

the spin into clothes is the animation used when sims change clothes. the glitch was that the sim was still naked.

Kinda think it's funny that PM didn't know that a Murphy bed was the fold-into-wall bed. That it was somehow connected to Murphy's Law. It was probably made less lethal because I bet the Sims would lay on it, and the damned thing would snap shut like a bear trap into the wall, killing the Sim instantly. Or stay shut and they starve cuz they can't open it or something while inside.
In Sims 4, when it malfunctions, the Murphy Bed repeatedly falls out of the wall and WHAPS the Sim on the head, over and over, bouncing cartoonishly, as the beaten Sim flips into all kinds of goofy positions. To let you know this IS serious, however, the game zooms in on the action and plays The Death Music. :P

Plumbob: the green, yellow, orange, or red crystal over a Sim's head that changes color depending on their mood or physical and emotional state
Also, spinning is how they dress and undress.

You made many mistakes:
Plumbobs are those green crystals which are always floating above the sims you control.
The way sims change clothes is by spinning so fast a small tornado is generated around them, and when it disspates (Which takes about a second) they have changed clothes already.
The Murphy Bed was indeed lethal. Its not a joke on murphy´s law, its a real bed which is fit into the wall and then opened so you can sleep in it. Why it was lethal is that it often broke, and if a sim tries to open a broken murphy bed theres a high chance that the bed will break out of control and slam down repeatedly, killing the sim. meanwhile there are small thunders coming from the bed to indicate its broken, its not that noticeable and it breaks very often. The patch made it less often but its still extremely often. Dont buy.
I don't know him, but I don't think he's ever played a Sims game lol.
@@sleepyote and beyond that, the Murphy bed is a real thing, it's not original from the sims. He also completely missed the general ambiance of the sims, they would NEVER make a joke like he thinks they did with the Murphy bed. It's a family friendly game, for fucks sake.

@@manologamerss5801 Uh...first off, Murphy's Law is nowhere NEAR dark or un-family-friendly enough to definitely not be referenced. They reference a LOT in their joke descriptions of things. For fork's sake I think there's a Game of Thrones reference in Sims 4, the most family-friendly of the bunch! Also the wicker furniture set in Laundry Day directly references "Wicked Whims", a well-known P0RN MOD. Again, this is 4, the one too chicken to even have burglars anymore. Not to mention the various post-woohoo moodlets, such as when the woohoo was just "mediocre". Ouch.
And THEN there's the REST of the series. Stripper cakes and the vibrating bed in 1 (which, again, said bed gets referenced in 4, but it's not useable). EVERYTHING about Strangetown in Sims 2. (Olive Specter and Grim, Nervous Subject, how the Beakers treat him, Jenny Curious marrying the exact alien who knocked up other members of her close family...) Not to mention the whole "Don Lothario and the Calientes" thing, and no that is not a band name. (Although maybe it should be.)
Sims 3 had the super-creepy Imaginary Friend with its even creepier possible future implications (it can GROW UP with your child, ROMANCE them, even MARRY them, and you can yes, HAVE A FREAKING CHILD with the doll you've known since you were yourself a CHILD Sim), all the weirdness of Twinbrook, what happened to Lolita Goth, time-travelling and its meeting your own relatives implications, and of course, "The meteor doesn't dismiss you, *I* do."
Let's not even go near Sims Medieval, which is not part of the main franchise, no, but IS the only Sims game in which a Sim can directly, THEMSELVES, kill another Sim. Not the player doing it with a wall around the swimming pool and you're _saying_ the Sim did it for storyline purposes. No, I mean one Sim can directly end the other one with a sword. Or by throwing them to the Pit Beast.

I didn’t know the sims was as unexplainably broken as Team Fortress 2
TF2 is buggy as hell because of spaghetti code, and the patch notes mostly read like what you’d expect for a team shooter
The Sims is buggy as hell because fuck you that’s why, and their patch notes read off as either: “huh. Thank you for making [basic existential function] work properly?… I guess???” OR “WHAT THE HELL?! THAT WAS SOMETHING THAT COULD ACTUALLY HAPPEN BEFORE NOW?!?!??”

"Relax", at least of my limited knowledge of the Sims, means to collapse from sheer exhaustion on the floor. They don't lie flat either, they stick their butts in the air while licking the floor clean.
The reaper in my game is my spellcasters roommate and is best friends with the cat I modeled after my own. Also he likes gardening, reading, and moonlights as a mixologist.
