I love the fact that they are all involved with writing throughout the entire process. Not, ok call me when you guys are done type thing.
Listening to these guys talking about recording sessions makes me want to watch a 2 hours jam session from them so bad. I'd pay money to watch!

I love listening to james talk. It hard to get a grip whats going on in his head. He seems like quite a humble guy.
So many Rush and Yes references. I love that. They absolutely reminds me of these two band. That's why I love Dream Theater.❤
John Myung's explanation of the entire writing and thought process throughout this video is how I approach my own writing. His attention to detail and how he thinks and expresses himself was brilliant in this video. I realized that if it wasn't for JM's voice in this band they would just exist. He is in the band that writes long songs but his approach is "less is more" lol

Dream Theater is my favorite band that is still around since Rush retired. But Rush will always be my favorite band of all time! Can't wait to pick up this new album!

I love John Myung. However, including him in a group interview seems redundant. He doesn't really need to say anything....he is content with allowing his work speak for him.... which it does in spades.

I met him in 2011 on the A Dramatic Turn Of Events tour and he was warm and engaging. A gentle man with a great awe about him.... and an amazing artist!

I FREAKING LOVE THIS ALBUM!!!!!!! They masterfully combine physics, algebra, geometry, chemistry, and calculus into an extremely enjoyable eargasm. Just incredible.
5 geniouses together in one band...It is just out of this world...! I will live a fan,and I will die a fan...!
Looking forward to the new album and I’m going to miss seeing DT on tour. I don’t think I would have chosen JLB’s T-Shirt for a band interview, but thankfully the band seems very lively. JM is being JM of course, he lets the bass do the talking. 🙂

@@scottofsc I bought 200$ tickets for texas. I've never seen DT that's why. They are a big band and they are playing at semi big venues I don't think lack of sales for dt is the issue. The jazz group "snarky puppy" canceled too due to covid and they are a small group.

when i bought the album i saw only 7 tracks on it and i immediatly though oh there has to be a couple 20+ minute tracks on this and i was right. Amazing record just amazing i will be adding it to the playlists on my internet radio station for sure.

Yeah it was 8 years ago.
From 6DOIT to BC&SL there were 4 full epics in 5 albums, it's ok to get 2 epics in other 5 albums (from ADTOE to AVFTTOTW)

John Myung is playing bass or maybe writing something during this interview
IMO Jordan has evolved far beyond a label like "keyboardist for Dream Theater" and has over the years become like DT's "Rick Wright" when it comes to composing and showing his bandmates some cool theory stuff in the writing process.
Jordan is one of the most 'complete' musicians I've ever listened to.
Mangini is a really cheeful guy just like portnoy, but less chaotic 😂. But we all love portnoy for the chaos🤘

heard the tracks only ones, understand they worked in a different way, but recon some parts sound like some parts in other albums, am I wrong? anyway happy to see them all together with their as usually "noisy" baseplayer.
What band has a HQ? As insane and beautiful as the music is I find it hilarious they have one. I would love to have a walk thru.. but I am dreaming...
