Roy 'Chubby' Brown, a living legend from Middlesbrough. Every gig he has ever done and still does, half the takings go to charity.
Since most big charities fund elite paedophiles… that’s a shame.
#UTFB
Impressive considering the amount of vhs tapes I have been given in my life that’s a lot of gigs and I’m just learning of this...much respect to the fat bastard thanks for the laughs Chubbs
Shame the media won't say that when he dies
Is that true?
He is a UK comedy legend. Shame that the world today has cancelled him.
Not 'the world'. A very small minority of the UK population, but they are the type that do not allow others to have views which are different from their own, and unfortunately some people and organisations therefore make decisions so as not to offend them. So we all suffer because of this small minority. That's their take on democracy for you.
Why do tiktokers come to mind when I hear of these snowflake type of people
@@Wesleygraham2301 Your swimming in the wrong circle of TikTok I promise you.
Snowflakes worried about being de frosted!
He isn't cancelled he's constantly touring
As an American living in the UK I've found that British comedians are so much better then ours, they seem to have no filter and nothing is off limits, this is the first time I've heard of Roy Chubby Brown and I'm in hysterics, I can barely breathe so thanks for the video
@Paul Mcdonnell I'll definitely dig some up, tyvm :)
Bill Hicks you're forgetting about him.
Have a look at Bernard Manning as well
@@outdoorangerify Bill Hicks ain't shit. He's funny occasionally when you first watch him, but damn, he's low on the totem pole. Edgelord tryhard is Bill Hicks.
Chubby is a longstanding legend in the U.K. Genuine man and a real comedy talent. Ran up against the whole woke establishment but kept on doing his thing. Never sold out and remains well loved. God bless you chubbz.
hes fkin great, propper english banter
He's a really nice person and doesn't stand for bad language. He's still touring!
You can smell a Brexit voter a mile away.
@@TUUK2006 They don't smell like garlic?
I met Royston at a wedding reception l had no idea who this polite chap buying drinks and engaging in conversation with everyone was the renowned Roy Chubby Brown. The character you see on stage is just that a character 😂🤣
Of all the "American reaction" channels, this is the best by far. Intelligent, funny comments and such an infectious laugh. Love this guy 😂👍
Yet he didn't get the Guinness joke!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@icarossavvides2641True 👍😅. He got more than I expected though given how different UK and US humour can be 😊
@@willdavis3332 yes and he got the joke about the 40 wanks,, not many know that , forty wink's is a phrase for being tired , he was howling at that one 👌
I think the way of summing him up is , good old dirty jokes for people that like good old dirty jokes ....If you don't like good old dirty jokes , don't watch him but don't try to stop people that do ....easy
Spot on buddy
I feel the same when live at the Apollo an shite like them so called comedy shows come on now , I don’t think none of it is funny so does it swing both ways here that means cos I don’t like there humer an don’t find any of em funny that they should ban em from coming on the telly 🤔
@@peterwright5249 I've banned em from coming on my telly lol
Nobody has ever tried to stop you, you dunder head.
Exactly bro & this is 1 of the main reasons I hate all this “censorship” nonsense tbh, cuz you know All Chubby’s original ‘stand ups’ would of been on here & now these guys all miss out on those! 🙄👎
“If you don’t like it don’t watch it” Exactly man!! 😅
He never comes across as being vulgar. The jokes are filthy like the old fashioned pictures postcards. He’s great and your reation is priceless.
Watch the videos and you'll be amazed at how many females in the audience are laughing.
They tried cancelling him year's ago and his response was to sell out Wembley stadium he's a LEGEND!

One of the highest earning comedians in Great Britain and had a unbroken audience attendance record for 16yrs (until the O2 came along ). He catered for working class humour and nothing was off limits to Chubby and was a stumbling block for him as he utterly refused to tone down his act for TV. You want a real barrel laugh at some real jokes, then Chubby has always been our man
Loved his little cameo in the league of gentlemen
@@dun0790 Ohhh I forgot about that. Well done as I am now going to start watching the series again....
@@dun0790 makes sense, the town was named after him.
@@jimmelton5846 indeed Royston Vasey!
No relation to me - although we are from the same town! Funny how I have never met him, though!
To me Roy is a great British institution here. Seen him live twice and both times my eyes and belly hurt from laughing.
Lucky you
Was that not hunger because of food bank shortages?
Some councils want to protect you from your eyes and belly hurting ......ironically, they do this by belly aching loudly themselves
I just got to see this dude n soon hopefully at Blackpool pier !
Glad to see it's not just us Brits who love our Chubbz! I found out he's on in May in my local area, can't wait! He's 77 now and still going strong and off stage he seems such a nice, polite man :)
Too true...a gentleman
I had the pleasure of seeing Roy live in 1987, he was absolutely amazing.
This is the sort of true English humour every true English man and woman can appreciate.
I've seen chubby twice now, utterly brilliant, how he remembers everything is incredible.
Chubby is from my neck of the woods. I grew up listening to him since I was teenager. No filter, nothing! He can't be on TV.
I have all of his work on tape and DVD. He's been around for a long time.
He can't reach the high notes on the songs now as he has recovered from throat cancer.
I love this guy. The amount of times I've listened to him when I need cheering up or on a car journey.
More Chubby please!!!
utfb
where is your neck of the woods? redcar here!
That's the thing: He's actually a very naturally creative & artistic and charismatic person.
I remember seeing a documentary about 15 years ago about him. It was very obvious that there's a lot more to him that meets the eye and that he's actually artistic, but that he's very much the product of the class system and the environment where he grew up. If he was middle class and from the South East and went to the right schools he'd probably be a career musician or something.
The other thing you could tell is that behind his rough facade, and despite his not exactly empathetic views on immigration & race; he's actually a really decent & nice guy.
@@davidwright9335 Chubby is from Grangetown
@@danieleyre8913 how do you know his views on race and immigration? Not challenging you. For all I know he has a book where he mentions it - I’m just curious.
I remember going to see Chubs back in the '90s with a few mates on a p!ss up in Blackpool, he was fantastic, a true English treasure.
So glad you found Chubby. I've seen him live 3 times. The first time I laughed so much i pulled stomach muscles. Soon as he came on the whole crowd started chanting "You fat bastard" He's hilarious 😂
Thanks
Chubby's a legend I'm glad you like him, pissed myself laughing at his jokes over the years. He focuses on things that are kind of real and that lifts people
Chubbs is an absolute legend over here. I’ve been watching him for well over 30 years. He’s just an old fashioned blue comedian and I love him. One of the very best to ever do it.
The Lion Bar joke 😂😂😂
Chubbs has been around for decades and is a national treasure for the working classes. Seen him a couple times here in Scotland and used to watch all his old videos over and over. Great to see you appreciating him.
Me and my wife are seeing hin this year. December 23 in Doncaster. The mans a legend.
This guy has released a stand up dvd nearly every year since the 80's, you must check out more if his stuff he's hilarious. A very talented man Brilliant Artist, Pianist, Writer, tried to cancel him recently in the UK with placards outside his gigs but backfired, the general public love Chubbs.
Sadly the woke councils won't let him play in their theatres.
His humour is rough and he swears a lot but he’s brilliantly funny. Your reaction is exactly what Chubby is all about. I’ve seen him live and your terrified to get out of your seat. When he’s on stage if you get up and he sees you your fair game as the target of his next joke! The shows are even better when you’ve had a few beers before you go in.
Watching you loose your shit reminds me of taking my mum along to see his show at Blackpool during the 90s. Now my mum did not tolerate bad language in the house but I never saw her laugh so hard as when she first went to see Chubby. Great video my friend. Keep on laughing!
Just been to see him tonight. 79 years old and still has no filter and couldn't care less. Thats why he's never been on TV. Old fashioned blue comedian and couldn't care less about woke or being accepted. That means unlike most comedians he's still actually funny.😂😂
He is the most successful adult comedian of all time. He has worn that outfit since the 60s. He has released albums of adult themed songs and even had a hit in the charts here in the UK with a British band called 'Smokie' called who the "F" is Alice. Also starred in his own movie called 'UFO'.
A very successful comedian who has been banned in many cities because of his offensive humour. 🤣🤣🤣
He also made a movie in the early 90s. Although it's only funny for about the first 30 minutes.
And he did a cameo on the league of gentleman.
@@danieleyre8913 yes he did, as the Mayor of the the town called Royston Vasey which is also Chubbys real name.
Successful. Right.
@@stewartmackay Yes. Successful. He’s made a lot amount of money from it over the year, he’s lived a good life from it, and he’s consistently put out material without going stale and he’s consistently sold out venues.
That’s a lot more than I can say for other comedians from the 80s. Like that Ben Elton…
@@danieleyre8913 Great, I suppose.
I first saw Chubbs back in the early 90's in Leamington Spa, he was in the lounge of the hotel i was staying at and brought everyone in there a drink. I've seen him live dozens of times since. He's a living legend, a genuine human being and does so much for charity. Its a pity he doesn't get the recognition he deserves....
No way, what hotel!
I've watched him 3 times. Everytime I only laugh at 30% of the gags. I miss the other 70% because I'm laughing. Brilliant live.
Met Chubby years ago in Redcar his best mate owned a shop we used to go to, what a lovely man, he's very polite and would never swear infront a woman off stage ❤
One of the crudest comedians ever, but one of the best. And to top it all, such a decent, nice and down to earth man. Just a pity he never gets on the TV anymore........ pure unfiltered rude non politically correct comedy genius............... brilliant

Thank you for watching and "getting" Roy. He's a stand up guy and a legend in my opinion.
His driver use to come to the carwash i worked in to get his Bentley cleaned , one day he came with him and for 30 minutes all we did was laugh , he is a pure gent who will always be a legend in Middlesbrough
Yes roy chubby brown, the best of british comedy🤣👍
He's a very clever guy , plays the piano , and a very decent guy too ! It's a great act , barroom humour , tongue in cheek but no malice, just halarious
Agreed! The lack of malice is the true secret to his whole act 👍

Chubbs is great. Banned from UK TV for obvious reasons but his stage shows and DVDs are hilarious. One of the funniest men on the planet and such a down to earth, nice guy when off stage too.

Glad to see im not the only american who knows about chubby. Hes very funny and underrated i wish he was known globally
Absolutely hilarious I've had all his dvd,s and always had me in tears of laughter 😂😂😂
i worked as a doorman back in late 90's when appearing in GT Yarmouth, Roy asked me to carry his famous suit to his dressing room, such a kind genuine gentlemen.
only 2 comedians could make me roll about laughing they are roy chubby brown and billy connolly 2 national treasures that deserve statues in their honor when they pass on
I’ve been to watch chubbs twice and both times was awesome! Old school humour is the best 😂😂
British stand up comedy at its best he's absolutely brilliant
I was so lucky to see live with three of my friends about four years ago funny as hell
The guy is an absolute legend. His early tapes from years ago are some what very un-PC by today standards but so classic. He was seen in a local pub in my home town a few days back and not in Middlesbrough. Out of town enjoying a meal. Chubbs does a frequent rally around for charities, been know to buy a round of drinks for everyone at the pub he's out for a meal at. "It is all an act" quote Chubbs the guy is an gentleman.
Chubby is one of our national treasures
Chubby is an absolute legend. 👍🏻
He’s been around for so long. When I was in school 35 years ago we’d smuggle his tapes into school 😂
Roy Chubby Brown is a legend in the North of England, he toured the working men's clubs for years & has/had a strong following. Not PC enough for today but we love him all the same!
Don't lower yourself to this level.
He's always had a loyal band of fans down south too. Which says a lot given the general snobbery of anything northern that exists south of Birmingham.
@@y3lowlegs "Lowered" how?
At least he's not some smug smarmy creep & bully like Richard Hammond and/or Jeremy Clarkson.
Iv loved chubs all my life but my god this guy reacting is making me cry! Love this video 😂
Roy Chubby Brown is an absolute legend, a true old fashioned comedian. We love in a world where political correctness has gone mad and sadly many towns and cities in the UK are canceling Roy's shows because they don't meet there standards. I've said all along of you like him just don't buy a ticket! I grew up with these sort of comedians and don't have any issue and watched Chubby live many moons ago and couldn't breathe for laughing. He does a heck of a lot of work for charity which he doesn't get the credit he deserves. His autobiography is a cracking read.
@Macavity he didn’t say Chubby has been cancelled, he said many places are cancelling his shows because it upsets the bed wetters. People don’t have to “move on” and join this woke bs, we’re all free to laugh at whatever we like.
I’m seeing him at my local theatre end of July, where thankfully, fascists aren’t ruining it for the rest of us. I’m looking forward to it.
@Macavity is that why left wing councillors have cancelled some of his shows?
@Macavity that’s strange, because I had a debate with said councillor, who clearly has left wing views. Chubby has made a good living because not everyone is thin skinned and doesn’t share your humour. Do you understand that?
Brilliant to see an American laughing at chubby,he is a national treasure.
Great to see this! I have seen Roy 23 times in 4 years. The man is such a gent, he has time for all his fans and is abound with stories that you wouldn’t believe. Man has a gift of the gab and I will always admire that and how he has made it work for him and his audiences for over 52 years. A true legendary institution regardless of what the toffee nosed types want to say about it.
10:08 it is not done in a mean spirited way like what could be said about maybe Frankie Boyle at times or Bernard Manning, even though they are pretty great too
Im from the uk and watched Chubbs from 11, Id be in bits laughing, he looks funny, he is funny and I love how much of an amazing genuine man he is. Enjoy or dont watch, its that simple,
It’s like a rite of passage over here to go see Chubbs on stage. People have been trying to cancel him from as far back as the 80s. As kids we would hang out round the back of the garages on our block when one kid managed to nick a cassette from their parents. Memories
So true. I was exposed to his dirty mouth simce I was about 8, some 36 years later I still love him.
@@NorthWestOutlaws we were about that age too. The pre internet days. Everything was clandestine 😂

I’ve watched Chubby live in Grimsby auditorium. Funny af! Met him once in Fulstow, Lincs. He lived there for a long time. Lovely gentlemen, I swear. ✌️
Been laughing at Chubby's jokes since 1982. A friend had a cassette tape with one of his shows, it was hilarious. Seen him many times live. He is crude but cleaver, old school jokes.
I regret not seeing him live in 2018 , he was in my home town as well 😔
Those with brains and a good sense of humour should never reject this kind of of comedy
Such a great comedian. Glad to see you full on laugh and enjoy this man..
The thing I don't think you'd expect is that off stage he's such a genuine and lovely person. A stark contrast to the man on stage.
He's definitely one of my fave comedians and will always remember the first time I watched him on TV.. The VHS Jingle B"!!"cks.. Got me hooked
Funnily enough, I’ve just said practically the same thing, that he’s such a nice , pleasant person when he’s off stage, as it’s all an act on stage….obviously! I was nearly pissing myself with laughing at Bruce, who probably did piss himself laughing at Chubby! So glad that our Atlantic cousins have discovered our best British talent AND they are literally pissing themselves with laughing and no doubt they will tell their friends about Chubby! If everyone in this crazy world just took a break and watched Chubby, instead of getting stressed and causing mayhem, I reckon that the World would certainly be a better place! How about a Chubby DVD being prescribed at the Doctors instead of some snake oil / pills?
@Farscape247 unfortunately he has just had another show cancelled because of people signing a petition.. 61 people signed it 😂 61 are allowed their say over thousands apparently
I have been watching chubby brown since I was 14 and still love watching him 23 years on
Chubs is from my hometown, to say he's a local legend is probably an understatement. While he's not necessarily my style of comedy, there's no denying he's one of the biggest names to come out of the northeast of England.
Smoggy4life! :P
Crying😂, nearly spat my copper tea out, omg, I live in same town a chubby, everyone loves him,
Chubby is a living legend, only Bernard Manning came close. Both intelligent, generous, strong family values. You either understand their style of humour or you don’t. Watching is optional.
Seen him live twice in the 90s, I'll never forget one of his jokes, " I wish all you women would keep out of the sea, you're making all the fucking fish smell", it brought the house down.
Love chubby, one of my favourite lines of his was " Even the pigeons fly upside down over our estate cos there's nout worth shitting on" 😂

Love Chubby, seen him twice, he's from my home town.
Remember my partner and I going to watch him live when we were holidaying in Blackpool. She said I think I'll go to the toilet. I said to her it would be suicide to get up during his performance. She waited until it was over after seeing how he picked on others. Brilliant, especially live. Best wishes from Northern Ireland.
