in 3.5 i learned not doing homework sucks, and in 4.5 I learned working sucks.
Chapter 5.5: doing anything sucks
The U in U Corp probably stands for Union or Unite since they join things together. Ishmael also implies the whale uses a U Corp tuning fork as some kind of attack (maybe fusing ships to itself and swimming down dragging the ship underwater)
I think Ishmael is actually referring to two seperate characters. One is the whale, which might be able to fuse with things naturally. In fact it could unironically be related to U Corps singularity concidering what we just learnt in Chapter 3 with how Singularities can have offspring.
But the other one is Captain Ahab. I just have a strong sneaking suspicion that they are the 'Bastard' that Ishmael is referring to. Plus, it'd make more sense for a tuning fork to be wielded by a human than a monstrous whale, right?

dante hearing distortions convinces me more that he is one himself or something similar at least (maybe a stabilized one like the ensemble from library of ruina)
Uncontrovertial statement but: i don't think we will be able to destinguish what dante is until we know wtf is up with the clock.
Controvertal statement:
What dante is, isn't important as he's a mechanism to interact with limbus' world and the fact his whole thing is amnesia means PM are going to litterally censor out any meaningful info until it becomes important.
It would make sense that the boughs are bigger deals than the light, given how they are seemingly the remnants of the light that were used up. Which would make sense as to why they allow Dante to hear Distortions. Im very curious what LC is planning to use them for
If I'm not wrong Rodya commented about the W trains in chaptee 4.5 leading Don to confirm her and the other sinners knowledge of its nature, although not all the sinners know probably, as we know a W rodya exists in the mirror world considering that Rodya here is seemingly cluelees we can conclude that as we get banners it means the sinners got the knowledge of the identity at that approximate in universe time and they do not have all the identity possibilities in the mirror right away and in that aspect has a chronological order. Just a theory though.
That exact conversation is what I use as the footage during that exact point :)
I chalked Rodya bringing up the trains to Rodya being lazy enough to risk it over the real roads.

Something I wanted to correct in your explaination of the Great Lake. It isnt that the Wing has manually created a pristine beach by walling off all the sludge and monsters. No, thats actually what the Great Lake is like, a patchwork of different oceans fully of different mutated creatures, divided by invisible barriers, like a nightmarish version of 'Settlers of Catan'. The wing simply built walls around the parts of the lake that are livable and nice, while leaving the remaining less desirable parts for the backstreets and whoever is foolish enough to try and cross the ocean (Aka us).
This was revealed in the Canto 5/Season Pass 3 sneak peak part of the livestream the other day

I think the reason why the distortions we’ve encountered have this “domain expansion” is because the distortions resonating with Dante, and his golden boughs. The energy of the boughs empowers the distortions when they have higher emotions than usual (be heavily harmed or disturbed), then the energy takes the form of a separate plane, designed out of the memories of the distortions.
You may ask why? Simply, it’s basically what distortions do normally, they affect the environment and it’s people so they that the outside world becomes how they view it.
This is something they sare with abnormalities.
I'm curious do you think the sinners get stronger as the story continues I've kind of assumed that but I'm curious if there was any in story confirmation of that.
I’m most certain they grow stronger. Both physically and emotionally. Their strength is also tied to Dante’s growth. So the more he grows the more people can return to their original strength.
It's debatable whether they're getting stronger or just borrowing the strength/combat experience of the identities. There's also mention of the identities personality mixing into their original from time to time, so maybe that can apply to their combat prowess as well.
Storywise, it could also be that they're getting used to taking full advantage of their "immortality", becoming stronger in the sense that they can fight without fear of death.
@@Laevatrien2 Even their base IDs get free upties at the end of Cantos 1 and 2, so I'm pretty sure they are getting stronger themselves

Is there any place that people compiled the story from LC, novels and Ruina? I just started playing Limbus and I'm loving it, but idk if I have what it takes to play the games just for the lore and some youtube videos are too much memes to understand everything. I loved your videos about the City tho! Maybe you could do explaining the lore of Lobotomy and Ruina?
That’s a very good question. I trust other content creators to put out amazing work on the subject and I trust those video recaps are out there. I simply choose not to watch them out of fear of having my perspective tainted by potential misinterpretation. The stories are quite encompassing and it’s easy to lose or misinterpret context or details. I’m not immune to this either, but I simply choose to do my own research from first hand sources of the media. I will ask around though!
Thanks for the answer. It's the first game that I feel like I would be missing out on a lot if I didn't pursue the story. And I'm loving it. Thank you for creating content clarifying this incredible game. Little by little I am improving my understanding of the game's universe.
I can't help but think Dante is a clone of Carmen for some reason I don't really have much evidence to support but what happens after 4.5 will either support or debunk it.
