- I've made a video of something other than Scott and Bailey!
I know he's very easy to hate, but he's also terribly easy to feel sorry for. The lyrics of this song seemed so appropriate.
I love Barrow, I can't help it. He's got a huge heart, despite his cunning and rather spiteful nature. I love when characters such as his develop through series, and he is the perfect example of someone who gave up any hope of love so long ago that he's stopped searching for it. Last night's episode was heartbreaking, because the one place he really does care about is Downton Abbey, and just like everything else in his life, it's rejecting him. I don't know what the end of Downton will bring for Thomas, but I can always hold out the tiniest hope of happiness for him!

My moms watched this series and loves it to bits , and so my older brother , but she never see's Thomas's character through my eyes , he may be 'different" and 'complex' but everything he has faced has smacked him in the face . He even got to the point of self harm , he's broken and he has no one he needs to fix him back together . But everyone's broken . But not everyone can see pain behind others eyes . And this edit really shows off this side of him and I love it . It's amazing !

Beautiful :) He is by far my favorite character in the series, and I love him so :3 I do hope he finds peace and happiness before the series is over. That's the only thing I want.
Unfortunately, I can really relate to Thomas Barrow! & It's really hard to live like that. He's the only character I will NEVER forget !!! I love & respect him!!! 3

This is amazing! THOMAS is my absolute favourite Downton character and I really feel he is underappreciated by the fan base. I suppose they haven't took the the time to try and understand him truly, because when you do there is nothing you can do is admire his bravery. I think Thomas is an inspiration and it is unjust the amount of hate he receives. now that I've got that off my chest I was wondering: where did you download the clips and what video editing software did you use because this is such a high quality fan video and I would love to make my own?
I totally agree with you. Thomas is my favorite character too, since the very beginning of the show. He might be ambitious, cold as ice, arrogant and everything at first but he's the most complex character on the show. the issues he's dealing with are so tough, so violent. He's been lonely and depressed for so many years, I'm so glad he had the bravery to open himself up to the others in the end, and to ask for help. I just adore him.
Merlin Arthur Thomas is one of my favorite characters, he's a complex one and his development on the show was beautiful.
I agree with you too. Thomas is also my absolute favourite Charakter. He is so complex and has to deal with so much pain and hatred but sadly only a few people can see this
i used to connect with Thomas because he was so heartlessly cold and that was the way I liked him, but the character development over the past couple of series' has shown him in a completely different light and i love it.

Knew a guy just like Barrow once. Really hope he doesn't meet the same end. Beautiful vid, really well put together. It hits right in the feels.
i think it's time barrow found love and respect! Carson is too hard on him. I almost feared that barrow would hurt himself after that conversation. So many people reject him. I think he only needs some love and he would stop scheming. I hope there is a happy ending for him!

Anna and Baxter on the hand are truly compassionate. I really want a happy, 'in your face' ending for Thomas. Rant over :)
Claudia Sc True, Carson was toooo hard on him on the last season because he thought Thomas didn't feel anything,but even Robert realizes that Thomas is just human and of course have a heart.
