Exactly. If he was held pending trials and appeals the delay tactics would cease immediately. Only the guilty, fearful of being detained, want prolonged delays in their criminal trials. Trump is no different. I recently re-watched a documentary about Roy Cohn, Trump's early legal mentor and lawyer. Stalls, delays, frivolous motions, reverse accusations against "the system" are all from Cohn's filthy playbook.
If Trump was locked up he wouldn’t be delaying the trials! This monster has dementia and needs to be in a Mental Hospital! A danger to the public. This has to stop. Another judge should be immediately assigned to evaluate Trump's violations of the gag order with regard to Judge Merchan's family. That way Trump can be held accountable, without placing Judge Merchan in a conflict of interest. Why can't the judicial system better defend itself against these dangerous lies?
There was a former NY state prosecutor on today saying that in NY it's a criminal offence to threaten people or encourage others to violence against an individual. She said it came under "Stalking 4", and this sounds exactly what Trump could be charged for. Others have suggested the Judge's daughter could sue him for defamation.

A judge should force him to be mentally evaluated by a regular hospitals doctors that specialize in Dementia and Psychologically disturbed people. He is daily making threats that ruin peoples lives. These victims of his have to change their phone numbers, move, change their names. If any single other person did this, they'd already be in jail on serious charges.
