I had known Rotting Christ for years before this song came out, but i remember it was the first preview from Rituals and I heard it the day it came out. It starts with the woman yelling at the gods, and initially, I wasn't crazy about it. But after you listen to the whole song, and feel the beauty and power of it, and the amazing layering of sounds and elements, it grows on you quickly... and by the end of the song, you realize how perfect it is, and the fast-paced yelling is essential to it. This song is perfect because of all of the diverse elements in it.

Am I the only one who noticed the chorus changes after the first verse? It goes from "sons of God will forgive you and the weapon for new wars they'll give you" to something I can't quite make out. It sounds like "... And the fate for the new God they'll give you". I looked up the lyrics but as is the case for many RC songs, they haven't been transcribed correctly.

I think Danai makes this song perfect. Without her, it would sound like any other decent black metal song, but thanks to her it stands out in a crowd.
