- The latest 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 (992) is now available in Forza Horizon 5 as part of the Series 9 update. It comes with a 4.0l Flat Six which after upgrades can rev up to almost 10000 RPM! And the best part is the car is surprisingly competitive in S1-Class!

2022 Porsche 911 GT3 S1-Class performance review:
Like most Rear Engine Porsches, you need to drive them in a specific way to get the most out of the car. Throttle off allows you to rotate the car better while throttle on provides maximum traction on the rear. Unfortunately dirty air seems to affect the 992 GT3 a lot despite the changes made to them.
Overall the car is actually quite competitive with great overall performance. It still falls short to the meta and off-meta cars but strong enough to put up a good fight. The key is to master the behavior of the RR layout Porsche and timing it wrong can result in your rear losing grip or understeer. And watch for dirty air as the car seems to be very sensitive to it.

the difference between a wheel and a controller
@@samt635 As long as you are not in a 'top of the world lobby' you can still be very competitive with a controller. Even in games like iracing or assetto corsa you can keep up pretty well if you know what you are doing. Obviously i perform better with a wheel but i think many underestimate what's possible with a controller

In GT Sport I’ve been top 10 in the world on time trial usually top 30-40 - 200 or so - but it’s a different handling model. I love this car on horizon - it doesn’t need 800hp though lol.

I love the Porsche so much. It's my go to S1 car now. It's funny you show the FXX still being faster. Because I rarely get beaten by one in my 911.
It is to show that under the same skill level, the FXX is faster. Viewers in this channel are interested in the car's performance compared to the meta. Winning online races in a specific car is due to the skill difference online.

I have a 2019 GT3 RS tuned to perfection. There’s nothing more satisfying than beating the Ferrari FXX, Mosler, Jaguar XJR-15, and Centenario in my Porsche. It has medium acceleration but sticky grip and basically only have to “tap” the brakes
And this ladies and gentlemen, was a live demonstration on how racing lines make you go faster.
The most obvious example was at 6:30, where the opponent hugged the corner tight, whereas ISAD took the proper line, allowing him to maintain optimal speed and come out of the corner faster.

True, but car setup, breaking on time, and other factors have big impact also. Some cars no matter what line u use or how perfectly you drive just cant take some corners comparing to other cars.
@@milosstojanovic4623 Well of course. If a car has overall less performance in all aspects, then even driving it perfectly will make you slower against cars that outdo yours in all aspects (grip, braking power, acceleration, top speed etc)

For those who want to know what suspension/tire compound/drivetrain the tune used, here they are:
Suspension: Race
Tire compound: Rally (Why?)
Drivetrain: AWD (Might be good on some cars but IDK why)
Sometimes racing tire compound is a bit too much, but sport tire compound is not enough, that's where rally compound comes as a middle between them, but in case of this car I guess this was made to save some PI points
To Maximize the Car’s points until it reaches the limited class rating. By bringing worse Tyres it reduces the car’s rating, hence opening up other upgrades that can be applied to the car. When you have a really decent handling car without touching its weight, power is where you want to invest on cause apparently power is important on this game to stay relevant in online races.
An example can be taken will be the V8 Swap NSX GT. Why do you think that they have stupid straight line whenever you see it online? Cause high horsepower coming from the V8.
But Unlike me, I kept its V6 for the sake of fair online experience for other players on S1 class
All of my A class road tunes use off-road tire compound. Why? Because they have more grip than street compound and you can put more power into the car.
Rally tires are meta, off road tires are used on rally builds lol
Rally tyre builds are just faster.

Rather surprised that it needs AWD in order to stay relevant. Haven’t touched mine yet, but I have bumped it up to S1 900, retaining RWD and giving weight reduction + camshaft upgrade. Will try it by the time the next playlist comes.

Yep, an update for you guys, tried it a while ago,
Surprisingly Abysmal. It got the same Treatment as the Cayman GT4, both cars being one of the most Pinnacle cars of being a Track Toy in real life yet somehow arriving in FH5 and it turns into a Shitbox.
The only Porsche that handles rather well without the need to swap drivetrain or engine or anything like that is the 2019 911 GT3 RS.

Last paragraph is 10/10. I was spamdriving porsche with few tunes. Overall experience? Good but not enough to be played against meta unless meta drivers are bad. Oversteer and long corners are biggest enemy of that car. For sure nice choice to casual driving at online lobby.

@@hintts depending on a track. For sure cars like: FXX/650S spider/gt 2005 are one of the most "balanced" cars. For sure worth mentioned are cars like nsx r gt or noble m400 but they require some skill. There are few "betweens" like mosler/elise gt1/f1 gt.
For sure owning all of cars mentioned above will make you prepared for every kind of s1 road/street :D

I got the same motor on my wrx sti in the game and it’s probably my best car, the motor is simply so nice
It's not just quite good, if u know what you are doing with it and drive properly, u can win a bunch of races with the GT3. I have faced some tough foes in online with some of them using meta cars like the 650 spider, ford GT, FXX and i've beaten them all. The 10k RPM helps the car's acceleration on the late gears go up fast (i'd say as fast as the CC8S) along with top speed almost as high as the CC8S. Love that PG did the car good.

The brand doesn't matter as all stats has a hard cap limit. Whether you go Chidori or Nextech or Outlaw you will end up with similar stats due to the hard cap.

Just curious, why did you censor the suspension, tire compound and drive train for the tune?
Every time i watch your videos on s1 races i feel like you are actually racing in a class, and every time i use your tunes i get absolutely beaten by other players.
don't rely on other's tunes, it might be better for them but not for u. Tuning a car in FH5 isn't that hard.
Not every tune is suited for our driving style. Sometimes many tunes i try cars feel to stiff and have low response or slidy. So if i cant find tune i like im making my own. Recently i started using more power tunes with okeish handling. Because handling tunes just cant compete with tracks that have high speed exits from corners.

so I don't know, it's just that this happens a lot to me when some curvature but without leaving much of the trajectory, I thought it was some system of the game, but in fact it could be a bug in some points of the walls that don't consider as a touch
You will have a very high chance of getting the penalty if the front portion of the car hits the wall. Lower chance if it is at the side.

I just uninstalled this game for the 3rd time because I still can't access the RS3 or the RS5, 2 cars I was super excited about all season. For all this time they've been unable to fix such a basic glitch that I'm done. Cool video though

How did he get 800bhp out of it? I got mine purist with weight reduction and power upgrades and i only get 620bhp. Stay purist or support lgtqb

Quick random question, am I the only one who tunes their brakes to about 125% brake pressure? I do it cause I don't press LT down hard enough sometimes, my judgement is horrible 😂
If you play ABS on, it is not recommended to go high brake pressure.

Handling is worse. It's more competitive overall with AWD, but for a handling build rwd is the way to go
RWD is not competitive at all. I switch to AWD from RWD and it goes from 900 to 887. It would be my slowest RWD car if I kept it RWD
@@xboxbenny I'm talking pure handling for circuit racing. It's fine for that. Speaking from experience here as I won a couple of online championships in this config. Like I said though, AWD is more competitive overall.
@@xboxbenny AWD is generally better, especially for online. But I personally try to keep standard drivetrain, escept for rally/off-road where I mostly swap to AWD. RWD or FWD can win you races in online because standard drivetrain is better in terms of maneuverability and if you tune it right it will not lose to AWD builds if you know how to play and throttle control.

Surprisingly, the 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 is pretty grippy on it's stock form, it is almost like a go kart.

Which is why I find is hilarious when people start talking about ranked. Online racing is a lot more fun when you can take whatever you want and just have some fun. Ranked would just be FXX's and GTs for S1.
