Yes it would, but I believe praying in the understanding is also important.
Fasting must become a way of life not an occaasional event.
Unless your health professional (hopefully a functional integrative MD) does not allow it the practice of daily IF aka Intermittent fasting (16/8) is a good habit. I fast 16 hours and eat 2 meals between an 8 hour window and has become a consistent way of life for me. I believe it is good both physically and spiritually for me. I personally aim to wake up every day at sunrise and go to bed after sunset when darkness has fully arrived. Also listen to a Bible Doctrine lesson most every day 1-2 hours in the morning sun. I get off schedule sometimes due to different factors but get right back on schedule.
Also forgot to mention and very important I can only operate this in the power of the Spirit not in the energy of the flesh. So I use I John 1:9 a lot to keep walking in His Grace and Power.

I understand so much. God told me to get up and pray before school. It's so hard because I want to sleep so bad but Terry Saville Foy says to practice mind over mattress and us getting up shows God how much He really means to us

Be mindful not to condemn yourself while working on a scheduled appointment with God for 4 hours. Not many do to this day! It's a practice too. 🙏👍

@ Sandra James. Your sentiments are so true. So often us believers hear God, but we so often run after the flesh. To be a spiritual warrior in the Christian life, it's hard. Fasting is needed to TAME AND MASTER THE FLESH. I agree with you 100%.

Asking everyone to please pray for me and my Family. Me and my childrens mother separated 1 year ago now. We have a 8yrs son and a 4yr old daughter. That I've seen maybe 10 times since the separation. Asking everyone to please pray for the restoration of my Family. Pleading the blood and a hedge of protection. I just made it through not seeing my children for months because of fighting with their mom. It gets better brother. Be patient. Hold onto love. Do not let the anger consume you. Be ready to communicate without arguing when you do speak with the mother. You have to show emotional resolve so she will not be tempted to use the children as pawns to cause you to be upset.

I woke up this morning 04:30am and felt the need to load my data. Little did I know that the Lord has a special massage for me. I came across this message. Praying in the morning while everyone is fast asleep with less distractions it's a perfect time for prayer. May the good Lord bless all the efforts that made this message possible.

Yes God truely answers when one fast and pray, on my own part I was having financial difficulties nothing was actually working for me until I decide to go into three days fasting. On the third day I had a revelation that says I should go into crypto currency trading so I'd obey the voice of God. Since then till date I've been earning from cryptocurrency trading God has truly blessed me coz I'd have multiple stream of income. Praise the Lord.

I pray that I can begin to build a daily habit of prayer before my day begins, because I need God to go before me every time I walk out my front door, because there are so many folks out in this world who are full of the desire to seeing and hurting her, Father, teach me maximize my moments to be with you walk with me.

Take it a little a time. It takes spiritual maturity and discipline to be able to pray four hours. I am a prayer warrior, it took me a while to be able to pray more than one hour - God does not expect you to eat the whole loaf, in one bite. Take it slow, meditate and use the LORD's prayer as a starter learning to pray it for one hour and then you add as you go. You can break it up into praying one hour four times a day.
