The cornice trim really gives the room a nice finished look. Great job Max and Eugene.

Interesting way of doing it max. We normally run sika-flex on the bottom of the cornice, clean it off as normal then finish with turps and a rag. Comes up awesome

Sika, Yeah that would hold really well I would imagine too. I will try that sometime... Thanks for the tip. Thanks for watching as well!!

Way to go Eugene, not too many contractors open a bag of cement , thin set or fast set mud properly!!

How far down you need to spray please?

Wow, you blokes make it look easy. I'll be giving it a go in a small room myself. Any tips on measuring and cutting?
Like, should the longer side of the mitre be exact same as the inside wall to wall number?
Or do you take a few mm off?
Any help appreciated coz I can imagine that it's no fun to try and fix it when it's already got cement on it.
    Cheers

yeah make it exact and the saw blade will take the right amount off, the corner can crush a little into place if its too tight as well. good luck! i cut a few testers as well make sure they will meet nicely. let me know how you go

AS the glue isn't water based doesn't it repel the water based cornice cement?

    Hey guys,
Do you know where I can get the adhesive in Australia?
My tiler left a gap for the cornice but its not even all the way around.. he said to use thick gobs of cement but this seems to be a better way of doing it.

Any plaster shop such as "pro plaster" stocks it.
You still need the cornice cement on there. We blob it if the blob can sit on the cornice and the top of the tile and on the wall all in one big blobbing. If you know what I mean.
I will say the glue is also adequate. When he says cement, he means Cornice cement. Any questions let me know. Happy to help you

Rule number one, punch the tiler in the head if he tiles all the way to the ceiling when he knows cornice is getting installed. 😂

This is actually a style or technique that is not used in USA. Great work as usual though on this channel. It’s interesting to see something I’m not use to and good work at that.
