Love Judas Priest! My very first show was JP opening up for KISS in September of 1979. I was 8 years old and already a HUGE MUSIC AND MONSTER MOVIE Freak! Still have the T SHIRT and Tour book from that show. The first of over 500 shows I have been to in my life. I started keeping a gig journal when I was in grade school. I knew it would come in handy one day! Great Story as always. Great Set List as well! Point of Entry really is an underrated album. Take Care! Looking forward to more of these cool stories!

Savoy brown has counted a lot of great musicians in their ranks over the years among their many incarnations.Rip Mr. Simmonds. What can one add about the mighty Priest. Those were the prime days of the metal Gods.
Yes! Another superlative installment! For me that is the classic Priest line up and the only one I’m interested in. Was sad when KK got pushed and and just not interested in what purports to be Judas Priest these days. The twin guitar attack of Downing and Tipton ruled 80’s Metal and I saw them many times with that line up and they always delivered a great show! Met Kim Simmonds on a number of occasions, the most memorable at a George Thorogood show in Atlanta where we went backstage while he was on and drank his beer! Sorry George! Plasmatics bassist Chris Jr Romanelli played with a later version of Savoy Brown and had some wild tales of touring with them. Keep the stories coming Bloody!

Saw Savoy Brown around 74/75 , they played some great blues Rock that night. Didn’t see Priest until the 91 Painkiller tour, Unleashed In The East is the album that has gotten the most play from my album collection. Another great story man

Sad Wings Of Destiny is one of the best Priest albums for sure with Victim hauling some ass, but for me I'd choose Exciter from the Stained Class album. That song is very anthemic with those guitars and Halfords vocals and not to mention the drums. Holy shit. What a ride. Great story man. Thanks again and stay cool ✌😊
I'm a hair younger, for me it was '84, the Metallion. For the 3rd encore, the lights dipped, the drums started pounding only to be out-decibeled by Rob's the Harley... The Metallion's front paw lifted and out he blasted! NOT A DRY EYE IN THE Cap Center! Just outside DC... Pretty good for my first concert... lol Rock on all!

Got the cassette in 80 I think for three dollars from a K Mart bargain bin. Still have the cassette and now listen to it on cd ✌️
