Such an underrated career and an RB ahead of his time. 14k+ AP yards and 70+ TDs. It’s easy to forget he also had a season with over 100 catches. If he was on better teams, he’d be in HOF conversations.

Matt Forte was a joy to watch on Sundays as such a smooth runner... I'm happy to see him staying involved with the team and lending his thoughts to the issue... I'm concerned with the things I haven't seen us do well during the preseason... Our passing phase looks proficient... I do want to see us establish the run this Sunday and subsequent games. Good offenses should be able to do whatever is required to take advantage of what the defense allows that day...

Bears fan from chicago living in norcal for 20 years. I have worn a bears hat nearly daily since. Never got more than one or two nods. The past week every interaction ive had includes “oh, is that a bears hat? It is oh ”.
Its such a 180 turn, taking some getting used to but im good with all that comes with representing a team that possesses the greatness we’re all anticipating.

Thanks, I wonder how they'll like the Big Ten, seems like the great equalizer from past expansions

Everyone's over analyzing & thinking too hard about it.. The Bears are going to be exciting this year. There's gonna be ups & downs, but they'll be fine.

Well, the Packers play outdoors in Green Bay. And it’s worked pretty well for them. Caleb is a rookie, protect him. But we can’t give the franchise a pass because they play on the lakefront in Chicago

Tom Brady seemed to do pretty well too.

Patrick Mahomes. I believe last year he played in one of the coldest games ever.

Got to remember we had Walter Payton the greatest running back ever so Chicago is going to want to run the ball weather Matt says it or anybody else defense and run the ball it's just a Chicago thing and probably always will be

Ask TB12 and he’d echo the same thing Forte is saying. You will always need a good O-line and run game to make the pass game what it is. It’s a pass happy league but Brady bucked the trend because he always had a stellar o-line. Give Cdub an above average O-line and they’ll run the ball with swift and he’ll be dropping 250 a game… we need a mark Andrew’s type guy so bad.

Bernstein, Bernstein, Bernstein, the papers want to know whose shirts you wear? Check ignition, and may God's love be with you.

I'm so SICK of "Run the ball, and good defense." He's a former running back so he's biased. Let Caleb do his thing. Period.

It's kind of the philosophy with a ROOKIE QB

    • @keithpaesel

@@shawnnyc100able yeah, and how has that philosophy worked for the bears ever? We are always trying to fit players into our rigid 1985 mentality vs fitting our philosophy to the talents of the players. Build around Caleb's skills. For once.

@@keithpaesel When's the last time we had a really good rookie qb? So what are u basing that off to say whether it's right or wrong?

Oh its in the blood of every bears fan over 40, may as well accept it.
But i totally hear ya. Id love to flip that script. Who says you cant have both? Doing otherwise is literally the definition of insanity
This is the franchise chance to do it differently. Exciting time to be a Bears fan

@@shawnnyc100able Caleb is definitely the first true prospect they've had. I definitely think you need a balanced offense. I should reframe my complaint as more of an analytical complaint. I'm just trained to hear Jimmy Johnson's hick voice when I hear "run the bawl and play defense." Lol, so that's really what I'm saying. You can limit mistakes and still let Caleb throw the ball. But all running should be to set up passes. We finally have a chance. Let's let this kid be a passer.
