Poles needs to fix this O Line asap.
There is nothing he can do right now. Must wait till free agency and draft
He needed to fix it three years ago.
Instead everyone blamed Justin Fields as he was running for his life.
He is the only thing that kept them in games.
Not happening
@@Philtrationno. The line was okay last year and Justin was still awful. Watch the tape
@@Philtration I mean, if you look at adjusting sack line, last year they were alright.
How did we go from Luke Getsy to Guke Letsy?!
Lmao
Getsy and Minshew just beat the Ravens 🤡.
Give the oc time man dam give the offense time man they never played with eachother
@@Slick1020to be fair I've hear 100s of raiders fans hating on getsys playcalling lol
LOL
You have a rookie quarterback & you can't run the ball.
It's that simple.
You're not helping him.
Absolutely. Would be a great time to do Greenbay did for their backup qb, instead of trying to show off our new toy; and please, run Herbert
@JH-ht9nt You do that if you have a solid, vet ahead of em. You dint sit a guy that's hyped as a generational talent otherwise, and that's just the way it is. They added the weapons around em to make it easier for him and for him to indeed play. Tyson isn't as mobile would be gobbled up and likely inevitably injured, meaning that CW would be inserted back in anyway at some point.
@@brandonbass1717 he wasnt saying bench caleb but to run the ball heavily
Swift did win that one game at the end for the bears years ago when he dropped the game winning fg in the endzone for the lions as a rookie
No, the problem is everybody wanted to blame JF but he was the reason the run have worked with this ass OL
Even if he had a good OLine…he still didn’t have much weapons to play with.
Stop with all the screen plays because they clearly aren’t working. RUN the damn ball and work off play action and boots to get Caleb into an easier rhythm. The bears offense seems to be stuck in 2005 with this sorry play calling. Waldron was sold to all of us as an “upgrade” but I’m not buying based off these first 2 games
You can't run that kind of offense if your Run game is getting no push😂. Waldren is trying anything to cover up for a terrible Offensive line. Olin Kreuz called it.
waldron is trying to run the ball but swift is legally blind. he has 24 carries for 48 yards which is 2 yards per carry. most of the time he gets tackled for a loss and then he'll have the occasional decent run that puts him above negative yardage. they have depth at the position so someone else may need to step up if swift doesn't.
@@eyz-4I think you’re blind. Just re watch the game. Watch the line on those runs. What holes did you see that he missed?
It’s the John shoop offense. Everything is a short pass play. That usually happens when the coaching staff isn’t confident in the passing game. Whether it’s O line problems, or personal issues. The coaches feel that the ball needs to come out right away with safe passes.
Facts lead back swift is 1.3 yards per carry. No way is that good enough for the offense
Waldron on the hot seat already. These next 5 games are going to be key for us to show improvement and get Caleb some confidence/success. Otherwise we are going to have to wait till next year. Yes the o-line is trash right now, but at least our core on both sides are locked up and we can take all the $$$ and draft picks and literally load up on O-line in the off-season. But Waldron needs to go if he can’t find a way to get Caleb a few 300 yard games against the panthers, commanders and jags. Back half of the season gonna be tough
Why are we asking a WR these obtuse, lack of interview prep, absent brained questions? Cmon
Because it's chicago sports media. They have never asked questions that require an iota of a brain cell
Cmon guys; you can ask better questions… asking about Keenan injury like DJ knows?? How bout asking hey it’s seems a lot of plays are going to the slot. Waldron talk to you about moving you in there with Keenan out?
He said “I wish I was able to make some plays” we know DJ was correct the ball was off constantly.
Haven’t seen DJ frustrated once at JF. Not to say JF was better just that it’s a tell tale sign what’s going on this offseason and things seem off. DJ is calm and collected, it’s weird to see him that pissdd
very early in the season like the first few games before they developed their chemistry, you could see DJ frustrated with Fields. I am concerned with the other weapons, a rookie qb and a new coach that the chemistry could take longer to develop if at all. I feel bad for DJ and Cole because they and Fields were working well together and they are starting over and in the case of Cole he seems to have been forgotten by the new OC.
DJ is one of the best bears we’ve had in a long time and other than hearing about his contract we don’t get enough of him
So what do expect him to say that he already hasn’t! He told everyone that wanted to listen-“Caleb is not as good as Justin “ so instead of investing in the O line and grabbing MH you choose this direction. Merrill Hodge told you exactly what he thought also. BIG MISTAKE and it won’t magically fix itself! Live with it now.
Justin Fields would have led to another 4 years of mediocrity. He's not the answer for success in any team wanting a Superbowl
I wanted to keep Justin too. But seeing him in Pitt as the same QB with no touchdowns. For the 2 guys you listed not as fans of Caleb, there are 10 more who said he would live up to the hype
@@danielweisgerber1636 he's 2-0 and doing what needs to be done, which is far far FAR better than what's going on with his old team.
Get Herbert involved!
Fr, and what’s going on with roshon?
What's up with these questions? DJ should pass on this show from now on.
I know this is obvious but I feel like all of the Bears resources need to be spent this off-season on the O-line.
The Bears have a decent amount of projected cap space.
A 1st and two 2nd round picks this year. All three of those picks need to be offensive line
In the meantime
Have an extra protector on the line or in the backfield on every play. Someone like Mercedes Lewis who could at least flare out and catch a pass if they read the protection is good.
I agree with all of this. Why not use those blocking tight ends especially since the oline couldn’t even slow down the pass rush. There were guys free on almost every play completely unblocked.
Really insightful interview. 😂
O wow Mahomes 2.0 😂😂😂😂Generational talent😮😮😮😮😮 dont want to hear the same excuses the other guy had With all those weapons justin was running for his life
Game five it should all come together hopefully
MHJ and Joel Ott would have been a better draft. Jaden Daniels is winning ROY with a worse OL and fewer weapons.
It’s been 2 fucking games!?!?!?!?
Not only has it been two games but their OL is not worse thus far. Da bears just allowed 19 pressures+7 sacks on 37 pass plays… not good
It’s crazy just how bad the Bears offense has been for many years. A professional team that is incapable of throwing the ball downfield.
Fields looked better than Caleb with way less talent. Stop making excuses Caleb looks terrible.
I defended Justin last year and I will defend Caleb this year. The kid was overhyped. No way he can live up to that as a rookie no matter how good his arm is. He is going to make mistakes and they are going to be magnified playing behind that sorry ass line. They did not do him any favors getting a bunch of weapons and not fixing that line. Believe me it hurt me when they traded Fields but I am going to give this kid Caleb the same chance I gave Fields.
@@georgemitchell1705 👏 👏 👏 same here fam
It is his second game in the NFL and he was pressured on almost 90% of his dropbacks. Did you forget Justin in his first 2 games?? It was not even close to how Caleb performed. There have already been 2 dropped TD’s in 2 games. Now if we are comparing Caleb to JF1 of last year, well… that is not a fair comparison

Don’t ask him “ How are you” after the way that offense played! He is upset they broke up what DJ and Field’s had as a dynamic duo on offense last year for this apathetic offense this year so far!!
The problem is they cannot run the ball, they went from top 5 running to bottom 5 of teams that played 2 games. The simple defense is line up and rush 5 guys to stop the run or blitz. The sacks are through the roof because the rush does not slow down playing pass 1st, the bad line and mediocre RB will run into someone anyways and no cost for rushing the QB, play action doesn't work.
They were top rushing with Fields and 3 under 500 yard backs and decided to try it again, the new guy was rejected by Detroit because he was a 4 or 500 yard back or under 30 yards a game in 17 games, that is not good enough, he had one good year last year behind a much better line than Detroit or the Bears, a top 2 rushing line would help.
Top 5 running team when Just Fields had to run for a thousand yards to keep from getting a concussion.
We only lost by 6 points and it could have gone either way, Texas is a legitimate playoff team keep your heads up Bears Fans! 🐻 down

Nah Fields definitely has his struggles w/ mistakes that cost the team wins
You’re comparing a 4th year player with a top Oline playing against one of the worst Ds in the league to a rookie with no Oline against a SB contender & top 5 Ds? Also Marv has Kyler throwing to him. Add both to this team and they’re still 1-1 or 0-2.
Mully asks the worse questions. I think his football knowledge is low
I love the honesty. I was asking what he seen?
If I could ban one play in football it would be Wr screens. Yes when they work they look great but I hate that OCs in the NFL that’s their go to play when they don’t trust the QB. Let Williams throw the ball, run the ball on 1st down, and run boot legs

@@JCar0106 I thought we had at least 3 solidified O linemen heading into the season (Jenkins, Jones, and Wright) but now Darnell seems like the only long term piece of that unit. Next draft is going to be heavy on the trenches for both sides of the ball
@@QuilliamFancySon I hope so!
People forget the Texans were top team last year. For his second start, I think Caleb did OK for going against a top defense.
Darnell Mooney a human highlight reel in Philly tonight. In an interview during the summer, Mooney said that Getsy and Eberflus were under orders to throw to the players that Poles had picked.
So stupid for folks to compare Justin and Caleb. Justin had 3 years and caleb has had 2 games. Give Caleb at least 2 seasons.
Moore looked like he missed Fields yesterday and now sounds like it 😂😂😂😂😂. Moore told everyone theses qbs are not better than Fields. Fields, Moore, MHJ, and picks to fix the oline. IN POLES WE TRUST
Let’s see Waldron is horrible, shotgun, shotgun, empty backfield, no chipping, they brought 5 guys all night and he didn’t adjust, they couldn’t pick the same Tackle end cross all night. The Oline has no talent, no discipline, penalties all night long, they look out of shape, did anyone see any technique? How is Morgan still a coach, his lines have been at the bottom of the league every year. Did anyone watch Waldron all night? His hands were shaking all night. He makes Getsy look like Gruden. We ruin every QB that comes here. What did Flus do to help the offense? Nothing, he did nothing. Just horrible challenges. Poles has done the Oline no favors, Wright looks like a bust, Davis is a clown, Sheldon sucks, Jones is Mediocre, and now Jenkins has looked horrible. Caleb got rid of the ball at an average of 2.59 seconds, which is very fast, and still got sacked 7 times, 11 hits, 36 pressures, 2 of the sacks came in under 1.5 seconds. Guys coming free all night. We did it to Cutler in the giants game, Fields in the Browns game, and now Williams. Fire everyone before we ruin another QB. Go get Ben Johnson and stop this mix and match coaching bullshit. A head coach should build his staff, not have the GM piece it together, by hiring a bunch of cast offs. Look at Seattle, they look better without Waldron.
Bruh, I thought I was the only one who noticed how shaky he was with the play clip in his hand. His playcalling has been horrible
A O line shuffle is in order. Move Matt Pryor to LG, send Jenkins to RG and Leave him there. Use a 2 tight end formation or use old I formation. When Bates returns from IR, move him to center. Center has been an issue since 2014.
Then, next season, either buy or draft the best Center possible & Left Tackle possible. Also need a big, tough RB (2 would be better).
A mention on screens. When KC runs a screen, there are 3-4 blockers for the recipient of the pass. In Chicago, it’s one blocker only. That’s why they don’t work.
O line just need fixed. Nothing will work behind that. Can’t work a run game with no line, Can’t open up the passing game with no line.
Just say it out loud the offense looked better with the last Quarterback 🐻
We really thought that Williams was going to fix the Bears offense problems...a rookie...with rookie problems himself plus, No blocking, no run block either... Dropped TD passes in 2 weeks. Who are we kidding?

If the offensive gets it going with the line and starts playing better bears gonna be scary bc houston is a great team and it was close
O line and play calling seems off, disconcerting to hear belicheck mock the bears outward-in construction failing on McAfee, he’s right. What does it all matter, Mitch, Justin, Caleb, dj, even how great the defense is, when the oline can’t block even adequately let alone well. The point of the game is points. You win by points. No o line proficiency, points hard, god, how long until we get some good line glued up. The pass rush against Caleb was scary. Just like Mitch and Justin I thought we were going to get him killed.
I hate games like these because I feel like such a CASUAL complaining about both oline and playcalling but here we are
By the judge of your profile pic you’re definitely a casual and I also think you enjoy tacos a lil more than the rest of us.
@@Lilpumpitup so your girl cheated on you with a guy that looks like me. Neat
All teams gotta do is send a 5 man rush and the Bears won’t be able to pick it up. The DEs can unload on the tackles all game long and Walderon is going to refuse to adjust. He’ll just keep sending out those 4 WR formations with Swift in the backfield to either go out for a route or ran over by a defensive lineman. 😅 I seriously was mind blown watching that game last night. I don’t think anyone expected greatness from the offensive line but they looked like a college team going up against pros.
Bryce young benched.. CW ain’t gna be too far playing like this
When he is going to Bagent saying “I need you dawg” you know things aren’t going good internally. Idk why they even went for Williams should have drafted decent Offensive linemen.
Williams is 0-11 and 2 INT when throwing the ball 15+ yards. It’s hard to find the center of the problem when we don’t have one. When you spend high draft picks on defense and invest a huge chunk of money on defense. Stop playing duck duck goose with the o line. Stick to one line up and let them build a chemistry.
I swear if Waldron keeps calling more screen plays next week I’m gonna break my 55 inch TV and throw my PS5 Pro out the window!! 😡😡😡
Read between the lines his talking about the o line and coaching
They simply rushed hiring the first OC candidate that interviewed first, when they should have taken their time and not rushed into choosing Waldron!!
It's week 2 people calm da'Fck down! We all knew the Texans would win once the schedule came out. Now if we don't go at the very least 5-2 by the bye week then we can panic. Other then that we're where we thought we'd be and everyone else expected.
The two GMs sacrificed a team for a quarterback now this quarterback has to make up that sacrifice that means no o line that means no tight ends that means old hurt receivers
This is a good team fix that O line take Care of Caleb get him that protection to develop right please don’t do this again. With a bad O line you can’t run or pass . If that is fixed they will be were they need to be.
They would have a better identity with Justin Fields and a whole bunch of new, young offensive linemen that Poles could have gotten with that 1st pick. We all knew it, and here it is.
How about we go under center with a tight end on each side , a running back in the backfield and two receivers?? How hard is that????
The product on the fields goes deeper than the players and coaches. Why do the Bears always suck on offense. They have drafted awesome prospects and every one of them fails. Teams like the 49ers, and Cowboys get good QB play out of whoever they put back there.
You guys stink asking questions
D.J. is a beast, I know he wishes Justin was still his quarterback.💯
It was ugly no doubt but was anyone really expecting anything different? Their D line is elite, even better than ours and our O line is just not a cohesive unit right now. Last night told the league to blitz the Bears. The O line can't hold up and Caleb will struggle under pressure. If they learn to beat that, they'll will thrive. Caleb will be fine in the long run. I hate to tell you all but this is a learning year for Caleb. He'll get better game by game.
Caleb needs to stop holding onto the ball for so long
On no 😊
Huh weird 🤔 I could of sworn I herd that about Justin last year and we need Caleb Williams because he’s so much better and doesn’t hold the ball longer than Justin 🤷🤷

Let's face it Caleb is struggling. Could of Tyson done better? I think this should be addressed. We have to win these winnable games. The numbers Caleb's having, aren't any different than Justin Fields.
It’s tough. I don’t know that it would look much different with Bagent in there, I mean they can’t even get the run game going. The oline has to do their job. We’re seeing teams change tendency mid game bc they know if they apply just alittle pressure up the middle they’re going to stop this offense pretty easily
I do agree with you. But they blitzed alot. Maybe, just maybe Tyson could of done something because of his experience

DJ. Get out of Chicago. Fast
It’s weeks 3. Keep calm
At some point the coach has to do something to stop the bleeding. We have capable TE who are stud blockers in Kmet and Lewis….. bring them in tight or right next to the QB to protect him. Bootlegs and RPO seems to have found it’s way completely out of the offense. Williams at least could get out in space and either run or dink and dunk some short passes for positive yardage. He had him just standing in there getting pounded.
He was watching Marvin because he told you all he wanted to trade the pick & take Marvin. Of course he’s frustrated yall forced Caleb on him he came out multiple times that he didnt want him. Stop asking him dumb questions you’re gonna keep pissing him off at this point. Hope the best for our team but Caleb performed horribly
They were close to the playoff last year and with MHJ and a few linemen we would have been there easily. Now we are hoping the Caleb lottery ticket pays off in three years instead of building to possibly competing this year or next year.
